Very nice place but don't expect too much from the immediate surroundings

  • 4 of 5

It's indeed a very nice little cabin in the woods. Very well maintained, clean and comfortable - absolutely what we expected. The only reservation is the immediate surroundings. The cabin is halfway up the mountain surrounded by trees, close to a street with not too much traffic but hardly no garden or space to walk other than the street. No real issue if you don't care but for us as dog owners a bit of a challenge. But overall, great place and highly recommended.

Country Classic Rustic with Modern Amenities

  • 5 of 5

Very satisfied with this stay! The log cabin has a fantastic balance of old rustic country charm, modern amenities, classic antiques, and Native American decor. The owner provides adequate linens, shower gel, laundry detergent, tissue, and dish detergent in the cabin for your stay. There is a full size washer and dryer right near the kitchen. The interior is tastefully decorated with Native American art and old country farm items to impeccable detail. The bedroom area has a very cool vanity mirror made from an old horse saddle. The toilet paper holder looks like deer horns and the shower rod is a tree branch. On top of the kitchen cabinets are nostalgic pieces like an old camera, classic cars, etc. The leather love seat and chair have a warm broken-in feel. The bed! Wow, the bed! It's made from old logs that have been artfully pieced together. The mattress is very comfortable. The fenced in back yard is a nice play space for pets or small children. A staircase from the deck or other gateway entrance is not there. Adding a segue would be a nice enhancement. The owner is very friendly and responsive to questions and accommodation needs. The location is ideal if you want a balance of the city and country. Just a quick drive to a plethora of dining, shopping, and cultural attractions in Asheville. And finally, the cabin has the perfect combination of the masculine and the feminine and is equally appealing to both or between.

Cozy home, actually just 15 min from Asheville, and minutes from lots of hikes and falls!

  • 5 of 5

Lovely weekend getaway. We enjoyed the amazing location - just off the highway east of Asheville but still secluded and surrounded by forests. The hot tub was great and you couldn't hear the road. The cabin itself was very clean, bright, and cheerful, and nicely updated and well equipped.

Do note, the cabin does comfortably sleep four, but it is more or less a one-room cabin - slightly separate kitchen and nice bathroom, but all the living, sleeping, and dining is in one room. Was -more than fine for four of us, and would make for a very romantic couples getaway.

15 minutes east of Asheville, 10-20 minutes to all the Pisgah, Mitchell, Black Mountain, and Blue Ridge trails. Slightly further to DuPont State Forest and the Smokeys, but still a great central location for waterfalls, hikes, fishing, etc.

Great cabin close to everything!

  • 5 of 5

My dogs and I enjoyed this cabin very much. I loved the decor. Everything was very clean and we really enjoyed the hot tub at night. Just a few comments, (not complaints) that I was glad to have read in prior reviews myself so I was prepared and willing to accept: the fenced in back yard is not accessible through the house and the hill going down to the fenced area does not have a pathway or steps. Also, the road is very busy, so there is no possible way to walk the dogs or go for a walk along this road. But, you really can't beat the location for being so close to Asheville/Biltmore, but being "in the woods." I thought it was a good value for the price paid.
