We enjoy our wine country life and would like to share it with you! Our two-bedroom, two-bath cottage sits in front of our CCOF-certified organic Syrah vines with its own private bocce ball court! Enjoy the setting of our vineyard and farm right out the french doors or from the upstairs deck. A short stroll – or ride on our complimentary cruisers – will take you to the heart of the historic charming town of Los Olivos where you can enjoy over 30 tasting rooms, shops, and restaurants. Our Bernat Winery Retreat is on our private property but in a private location from the main house. Luxurious bedding with down comforters and pillows, bathrobes, and locally crafted bath products made from grapeseeds from our vineyard, are just a few of the amenities you will find at the Winery and Vineyard Retreats at Bernat. For those who decide to make a meal at home during their stay, we welcome them to harvest lettuce and herbs from our 3-acre organic farm, also on the property. If you picture yourself coming home to a comfortable well-appointed wine country cottage after a fun day of touring Santa Barbara wine country, playing a game of bocce ball while watching the sunset over the vineyard and oak-studded hills enjoying a salad you just harvested, then you'll love the Bernat Winery Retreat!

Please note: We have Wednesdays blocked out for regular mid-week cleanings. If you would like to stay longer than a week, we can unblock the Wednesdays to accommodate a longer stay. Send me an inquiry and let me know your preferred dates.

Los Olivos and Surrounding Area: The 20+ tasting rooms, galleries, and restaurants, of our quaint little town, are a 10-minute walk (20-minute stroll) or a short bike ride away. We also offer complimentary cruisers. Our kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, there is a little market down the street (a 5-minute stroll). But with the world-class dining available in our area you might not want to boil water.
The Santa Ynez Valley comprises the Danish town of Solvang, the western-themed town of Santa Ynez, Ballard, Buellton, and Los Olivos. Aside from tasting the many vintages of the Santa Barbara County wines the valley offers; biking, horseback riding (in fact, if you have a horse and want to bring them, we have room for two), hiking, fishing, live theatre, movie theatre, shopping, festivals, surfing and much more. Santa Barbara is a 40-minute drive and the beach is only 30 minutes.
