About the host
Hosted by Joana Olaru
Health care professional/businesswoman born in Europe and living in Portland, bought the house with the desire to retire in Astoria, away from the frantic life-style of a bigger city.
Loved restoring - what used to be a historical - 1904 Victorian and learning about the rich history of Astoria.

Why they chose this property
This Old Victorian house speaks to my soul. My husband and I love going to the coast for a weekend to relax, refresh and rejuvenate.
What makes this property unique
Laid back life style – away from the big city, but still a vital community all year long with a stunning architecture reminiscing of San Francisco; Victorian houses (you will be vacationing in one ) – rich history, proximity to a magnificent body of water – the great Columbia; really close drive to beaches – 15 min to Fort Stevens, 20 minutes to Cannon Beach – you can drive every day to another beach and come back home to relax.
Astoria (at the mouth of the Columbia) is known for its restaurants, festivals, shopping and antiquing. Astoria (and its surroundings) has a wonderful balance between man and nature.
