Charming 1900's Vintage home that is perfectly located just minutes from downtown Salida & the scenic Arkansas River. With a fully equipped kitchen, laundry & fenced backyard w/a spacious deck, it offers all the comforts of home after a day of outdoor adventure. Relax in the cozy upstairs loft, or take advantage of the garage—available to guests—for storing your outdoor gear. We also provide bikes a stroller so you can explore Salida w/o the hassle of bringing your own! Originally built in the early 1900s, this beautifully restored home blends vintage charm with modern updates. Enjoy a brand-new heating system, remodeled kitchen with new appliances, fresh paint, and new carpet—while still appreciating the unique architecture and historic details throughout. The main level offers two full bedrooms (each with queen beds) and two full bathrooms. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for a comfortable stay, whether it’s two nights or two weeks. Step into the enclosed back porch/sunroom that opens to a private backyard deck—perfect for relaxing or barbecuing, all within a fully fenced yard. Upstairs, the spacious finished attic includes a full-size bed and a side room with built-in desk and shelves—ideal for remote work. There is also an area for children to play. Please note: the stairs to the loft are quite narrow and steep. It’s best suited for young children or a family wanting a separate space, but may not be ideal for guests who have difficulty climbing stairs. Guests will have full access to the entire home, fenced yard, and garage. We kindly ask that you do not enter the basement area beneath the mudroom or the locked storage shed in the backyard. That said, feel free to snap a photo in front of the storage shed—it makes for a fun and unique backdrop! Guests will receive emails 10 days, 8 days, and 1 day before check-in with all the details needed for a smooth arrival and stay. The stairs leading to the loft are narrow and steep, and the twin mattress upstairs is slim. While the loft is a fun and cozy space—especially for kids or families wanting a bit of separation—it may not be ideal for anyone with mobility issues. The fully fenced backyard is also great for pets to enjoy, but we kindly ask that only well-behaved pets are brought. Please pick up after them, vacuum if your pet sheds excessively, and keep all pets off the furniture. These small efforts help us keep the home clean and comfortable for every guest—and make life easier for our cleaners!
