Nestled amongst the trees of the Nantahala forest, our 2 bedroom cabin is a great place to get away from the world. Easy access on a paved, county maintained road. There is some day time traffic noise on the road, but the traffic thins out in the evening and on weekends. We have a large deck with gas grill.

Very nice cabin, appears to have recently been updated. Well stocked with everything we needed for our 3 night stay. The only downside was early morning and late afternoon traffic, mostly construction deliveries and tradesmen.

It was a beautiful place. Really clean, up dated kitchen. Perfect deck to enjoy the evening. Close proximity to Highland snd Brevard. We saw about 8 waterfalls. Only had to walk a bit to two of them. Thus was great for us older folks.

Happy place

We really enjoyed our stay! Made use of all kitchenware, etc. we LOVED THE PORCH. We mined for rocks and found emeralds, aquamarine, garnets, rubies and several other stones. It was delightful! Also visited the Highlands twice this road is a bit scary but beautiful none the less. People all we very friendly.

Vacation getaway

Beautiful cabin in the mountains of Franklin NC. Clean, well supplied cabin. A great place for a couple to get away. Comfortable bed, and it was in the center of everywhere we wanted to travel to. I would highly recommend this "Happy Place" to others.

Family Visit

Everything was great. Very nice cottage. Had alot of nice touches . Fireplace was a plus so nice and cozy. Only thing that would have been nice was lighting by driveway. Looked like motion lights were there but did not come on . Definitely will stay again.

Wonderful get-away with easy access

We had a wonderful time! We fell in love with this well decorated home in the woods. It was an easy drive on good roads. I especially enjoyed the gas fireplace. All I had to do was press a button on the remote control, and we had a real, propane fire every night( logs are artificial, so no clean-up). We didn’t cook there, but the kitchen and outdoor grill were fully stocked. They even have a combo Keurig/ground coffee maker. Attention was made to every detail. Extra toiletries were available in case you forgot something. The baseboard heater in the bathroom warmed it up quickly on chilly mornings. The cleanliness of the home, especially in this post-covid era, was a big plus. Both Cindy and Al were readily available by VRBO messaging when we had questions. We would definitely request this home again when we are in the Franklin/Highlands area.

Wedding weekend in Cashiers

The inside of the cabin was clean. The amenities were awesome. everything we needed. The outside of the place could use some improvement. Gutters were full of leaves and many items appeared unattended for quite some time. Otherwise it was awesome and fulfilled our needs for a beautiful fall weekend.

Comfortable Cabin in the Woods

This cabin is VERY well done. The sheets/linens are very nice and the place is stocked with almost everything. If this cabin had a stackable washer/dryer, it would be perfect.

Cozy and Clean

I stayed in the "Happy Place" property with my husband and 19-yr-old daughter. We found the home to be just as clean as all the reviews said and maybe even cleaner! Cindy made the check-in so simple and even messaged me the next day to make sure we were fine and to see if we had any questions about anything. Everything was in perfect working order and I was impressed with the "smart" features like multiple USB ports in each room for charging devices. The inside of the house looks brand new from floor to ceiling and had all the comforts of home. You can tell that the owners have worked very hard and spared no expense to restore the home. The house was very easy find and was close to town which was nice, however, it sits right on top of a very busy road. The front porch is so nice and big and I was picturing myself taking the perfect nap there, but the road noise was not to be ignored. No one took a nap on the porch but the traffic would die down in the evenings and it was more peaceful then. In fact, I've never seen so many lightning bugs so that was fun! It was amazing to see! Overall, it was a wonderful getaway. Thank you Cindy for being such a wonderful hostess!!

Cozy Cabin

Stayed here for a week to visit some family in the area. This cabin was super clean, well appointed, and very comfortable. For 2-4 people looking for a comfortable place to enjoy the area, its awesome. Bed was very comfortable, furniture is also and kitchen is well appointed. Really liked the large outdoor deck. Only thing on our wish list would be a washer & dryer but we made due. Finally wanted to that the owners for the great communications. We will definitely stay here again given the opportunity!

College Visit Mountain Weekend

Our family visited WCU and then stayed for a weekend of hiking in the mountains. This home was perfect for our family of 4 - cozy, inviting, and close to what we wanted to experience. It was just as advertised and we enjoyed our weekend away. Hope to come back and explore more of the area in the future.

Property was in Excellent Condition. We enjoy the fact that it was well furnished with any items one would need and then some.
