Sugar Pine Cabin - Lake Membership and a family-fun Arcade!

Nestled amongst the pines and cedars of the Sierras, Sugar Pine Cabin is the perfect place for a vacation any time of the year. Located in Sugar Pine, California on Sonora Pass (Hwy 108), it is minutes from the historical gold rush communities of Sonora, Jamestown, and Columbia. Sugar Pine is located at 4,500' between Twain Harte and Mi Wuk Village. Beautiful Pinecrest Lake and the Dodge Ridge Ski Resort are just a short drive away and Yosemite is close enough for a day-trip.

The cabin is a spacious, tri-level, and is located on a quiet cul de sac in the trees. During summer months guests have access to Sugar Pine Lake, a private lake that is only a three minute walk from the cabin. The lake has a beach with a swimming area for children, dive platforms and fishing areas. The lake is fenced and gated. Access is via a key.

We have taken great care to create an inviting getaway for our guests that is enjoyable and functional for adults and children. The large dining area is great for playing board games, craft projects or other entertainment when not functioning as a place to eat meals. The main floor with the dining area, kitchen and living area also has access to a large redwood deck with picnic tables and overlooks the property. The loft is a great hideaway for children to play and includes a TV and DVD player. The bottom floor game room features classic arcade machines and an air hockey table. Everyone will have fun playing classic arcade games set to free-play. We even have a claw machine!

Please read:
For guest safety the cabin has an exterior camera overlooking the driveway. When making a booking request please include the following information: number of guests and their age range, the purpose of trip (e.g., family reunion, business meeting, birthday celebration, ski trip, etc.), and your city of residence. Requests to book without correspondence will be declined.

A signed occupancy agreement and a copy of government identification are required to complete the booking process. The documents shall be returned within 48 hours of receipt. The cabin has a max occupancy of 14 per local ordinances. Groups exceeding 14 will be expelled without refund.

Family getaway
We ALL had so much fun! Our family wanted to do something different for Dads/grandpas 74th birthday. The house was able to accommodate our family. We really enjoyed the private lake, kids , teenagers and adults had a blast. We even had an airhocky tournament! We will definitely be hack!

FUN stay for a 14th Birthday weekend
We booked this cabin for my son's 14th birthday weekend. The upstairs area with 6 twin beds and the arcade was PERFECT for our group!! We had a great time! Thanks Eric for your communication & responsiveness.

Great Sugar Pine cabin
We enjoyed our stay! Spacious and clean. Huge dining room! It was so nice for our group to dine all together. We had lots of fun in the downstairs Arcade room. Lots of laughs during air hockey tournaments! Plenty of board games to choose from. This was a winter stay, and we were warm and cozy inside. Excellent location. A short drive to convenient stores and Dodge Ridge. Quiet neighborhood and friendly neighbors! The owner Eric is also friendly and responsive. Highly recommend this cabin. Thank you Erica and Christine for sharing your cabin and allowing us to make more fun and lasting memories!

Great family rental
Great home for families and large groups. The house has tons of room, beds are comfortable and the arcade is perfect for kids! Our family enjoyed the lake which is a short walk/drive. Communication with the owner was great. Anything we needed, he made sure to help. Would definitely stay here again.

Even better than expected
This property was very spacious, the pictures don't do justice to the house. We really enjoyed the house and the privacy at the end of the day when we all went to bed. It was a great location, super close to Dodge Ridge. We had a wonderful weekend!

Home Away From Home
We had a wonderful stay! This home was the perfect place for our family get away. It is well kept, clean, and full of awesome amenities! Communication with the host couldn't have been any better. He is very friendly, super easy to reach out to, and made sure our stay and all that lead up to our trip was perfect! We will definitely be booking to stay here again, and highly recommend this home to those looking for the perfect home away from home.

White Christmas
We were hoping for a little snow during our trip but the owners and friends in the area told me you may get a little but it usually snows heavily in January. To our surprise there was back to back snow storms, it was beautiful and looked like a hallmark movie, we definitely had a white Christmas so much that we were snowed in for awhile , the home itself was perfect for our family and the arcade was a huge hit. They had plenty of games and cable including Netflix to keep everyone entertained while we were snowed in. We also experienced a fluke power outage which was not fun but that’s Mother Nature for you, the owner (Eric) stayed in contact with us as much as possible during this time but they were also experiencing outages. We definitely made long lasting memories on this trip and look forward to coming back.

The PERFECT Family Getaway
Sugar Pine cabin is a unique, fun and family orientated property! There is something for everyone and the kids, almost all teenagers, LOVED LOVED LOVED the game room. The cabin is cute, roomy and has so many amenities. We played games around the spacious table and made lasting memories.

The place was perfect for our girls trip. The beds were very comfortable and the place had everything you needed. The private lake was great and walking distance from the cabin. We really enjoyed lunch out on the deck and the use of the grill. The owner was also very communicative from the begging.

Awesome for every age group, young and old.
Great communication from owner. Top quality house and large area for family dinners the bedrooms and the Arcade made this a PERFECT place for our family. The kids spent most of their time playing games and then having a slumber party in the loft. I highly recommend!

A place to make amazing summer memories!!!
We had such a great time at the cabin. I brought my grandkids and was able to make summer memories they won’t forget. The house was clean the beds were comfy and the lake was beautiful. Family Fun
We had such a great time staying at Sugarpine Cabin. Eric, the property owner, was great from start to finish and always available when we had questions about the cabin and the area. The kids all loved the game room. I booked the cabin with the 4 teenagers in mind, but it was the 3 year olds who couldn't get enough of the video games and air hocky table. The access and proximity to the lake was amazing. We were there every day swimming and fishing. We took the kids to Pinecrest one day thinking the teens would like the busier lake but they all just wanted to get back to the quiet private lake and the cabin. We can't wait to go again, and will stay at Sugarpine Cabin fir sure!

Perfect Multi-Family Getaway
From requesting to book all the way until post check out communication, we were treated with hospitality and care. Family vacations take planning and we all look forward to them and Eric ensured an easy and comfortable stay. The cabin was easy to find, conveniently located, spacious, and fun. The different areas allowed people to have space, while also offering family gathering spaces for eating together and playing games. For me, the ease of everything and comprehensive information made for a stress free experience. The Sugar Pine cabin is a true respite for any looking to escape the busy-ness of life and just relax. Awesome for young-ish family
We went with our 6 and 10 year old and had a blast. It started with Eric’s friendly and detailed messages about the logistics of checking in and all aspects of the cabin. We arrived to a clean and welcoming cabin in the woods that we and the kids immediately fell right at home in. As the posting notes, there is a basement arcade including retro video games, an air hockey table and a coin-op claw machine, which for us were the highlight of the place given the delight it brought to the kids. A perfect respite after a day in the snow just a few minutes north by car (in winter of course) or a reward after a day of school or good behavior for the kids. In short, we had an absolute blast here just hanging out. There is a small lake nearby that we walked to...too cold to enjoy when we were there but looks fun when weather is warmer and people are out. Again, throughout, Eric was the most welcoming, coolest and most responsive of hosts throughout. Would definitely come back for a stay (provided you don’t outcompete us)!

Perfect!
Sugar Pine Cabin was perfect!! We enjoyed our stay. The pictures of this cabin really don’t show how roomy it is. We had ten in our group and there was plenty of space for us all to hang out and not feel like we were on top of one another. The cabin was super clean and everything we needed as far as linens and kitchen utensils/gadgets were provided. The game closet was a plus! Games and puzzles galore. And the game room... well, we didn’t see our kids for hours. The adults disappeared down there for quite some time as well. It was all around great!! The cabin is located in a great spot. We took walks, visited the community lake (I imagine it’s super fun in the summer), walked to the Sugar Shack up the road, and talked with some very friendly neighbors. We did take our kids to Leland Snow Park for a day. It was about a 35min drive up 108. It was great!! We hope to be back soon!

This house was so amazing, I've never stayed at anyone's house without the owner being there for a weekend. This house was close to items to do with family. This was so stocked with items we didn't need to bring. Our family had the greatest time doing things together and bonding with one another. We would to stay at this house again.

Fun for everyone!
We had such an amazing time at Sugar Pine Cabin! It had everything our large family needed, an amazing game room and a well stocked closet filled with board games! Not only was it clean and fun, but the location is ideal and it is surrounded with wonderful neighbors! We've visited the Sonora Pass area since childhood. We frequently rented cabins in the Mi Wuk and Twain Harte area until we bought our own. We hope you will love this place as much as we do.

We host without the interference or cost of a management company to provide you a better rate and personalized service. As such, we are constantly making improvements and have an interest in keeping the cabin in excellent condition. We are confident you will find our place to be appealing and well cared for. Sugar Pine Cabin is one of only four cabins with summer membership access to beautiful Sugar Pine Lake. It is a wonderful place for family reunions, ski weekend getaways, or to spend a week in the summertime. Sugar Pine Cabin has many families who return to year after year to make memories.
