About the property

2 Bedroom, 1 Bath, Mountain View, Wifi,

This sweet little cabin sits on 8 ½ acres of unspoiled forest in the north Georgia mountains. With two bedrooms , a partial wrap-around deck, kitchen, laundry, satellite TV and WiFi, it’s great for a family vacation or a romantic getaway. Close to two large natural lakes both with summer pools, boating, fishing and boat ramps, Lake Blue Ridge and Lake Nottely, making water access easy and fun.

The mountain location of this cabin makes it an ideal place to watch the changing colors of the seasons, hike trails, take scenic drives and visit local wineries. From quaint little towns in the foothills to impressive waterfalls, there is never a shortage of day trips and activities. Of course, if it’s solitude you’re after, this is also the right place. Sit a while in a rocking chair on the porch overlooking the thick dense forests and mountain sunsets. Sleep in, drunk on fresh mountain air. Rise early to catch the misty mountain mornings and wandering deer. It’s your vacation, your get away.

Nice enough place but could use some upgrading touches

  • 3 of 5

Pros: Good Location

Pleasant Cabin

Comfortable beds

Cons: Upgrade the TP and Paper Towels (really how much do you save with the cheap stuff?)

Not a decent cutting knife in the drawer.

No vent fan for kitchen! Had a fire alarm go off. Fire dept came because we didn't know how to

shut off alarm. (re entering entrance code worked.)

Lower part of driveway very "soft" almost didn't get up! Needed a running start.

Not really trying to nit pick. Was really very nice place. Had a very nice weekend in mountains.

Cozy remote cabin centrally located

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was exactly as pictured! It was cozy with cute decorative touches and very clean/kept. It's located in a perfect location- far enough away from the city but still close enough to it. Michelle was great and very prompt with all communication. The drive way was a bit steep probably more suitable for a 4wd vehicle but we made it work. We would definitely recommend the lil cabin in the woods to others!

Cozy and very cute!

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I were able to stay in this beautiful cabin The interior was very cozy very clean. The only reason I did not give it five stars was because The fireplace did not work. We contacted the owner and by the way she is super nice very helpful but we could not get the fireplace to work. If by chance we ever get to stay in the cabin again I would have The maintenance people go in before me and make sure the fireplace is working.

Owner's Response: Gosh- I never heard back from you so I figured you got it to work and didn't want to bother your vacation- if the directions I gave you didn't work- I would have sent them to fix it for you and restart it- things go wrong. I wish I could have had a chance to fix it. My cabin management does set up the fireplace in the winter but things can go wrong and they are local and can come fix if you let us know. I apologize for your experience.

Quiet Cabin

  • 3 of 5

The cabin didn't appear as if it had been inhabited in awhile, so it was initially pretty musty, with evidence of mice. However, I did rent it on short notice, so I can understand that we may have been the first people inside in awhile. If you're person who hikes and does tent camping, then none of these things will ruin your vacation. On the other hand, I can see some people flipping out over these types of issues. The cabin reminded me of some of the older cabins in New England I've stayed in, a bit rustic, but everything worked and it was the location that mattered. I've rented about 20-30 different cabins in North GA. and this one had the fewest luxuries of any of them. Nice porch with rockers and grill. The property owner was easy to deal with and the directions and instructions on how to get in were straight forward.

Outstanding Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is perfect for a weekend getaway. After an incredibly stressful month, I reserved the Lil' Cabin to unwind and decompress. The cabin itself is incredibly cozy and enjoyable. I read books on the porch, gazed at the mountains and beautiful forest, and relaxed with a glass of wine.

The cabin itself is perfect. It is spotless upon entry. You are provided everything you need for a weekend. I only had to bring clothes and food. Michelle is the wonderful owner of the Lil' Cabin. She is very sweet and accommodating. I couldn't have asked for a better person to rent a cabin from.
