About Tony

We are Tony and Jen and have been coming to and enjoying Hudson valley since 1985, when we first discovered the beauty of this great region of new york. Our Family and friends have a life time of memories from this area. Now we would like to be able to share this with others.

Tony purchased this chateau / country house in 1997

Why Tony chose Gallatin

after looking at property for over two years with my friends father, I decided that this piece was the right one,

it was off the beaten path, no neighbors

around, just woods and nature, yet only 5 minutes to milk and bread and the taghkanic parkway. so we cleared the land, cut the trees to make room for the homestead. The home was buillt and completed in 2013

What makes this chateau / country house unique

It is the peacefulness of this place, That i love, quiet dirt road hardly traveled, you can sit on the front porch and watch the deer come to feed on the lawn. Its the silence of not having a neigbor in sight where you can sit and enjoy family, friends ,or that great book your reading

And from the inside of the home you have the same experience

as the outside with tall floor to ceiling windows, you feel like your outside when your inside.

New Year's Eve sojourn with friends

  • 5 of 5

After traveling in weather where falling snow was supposed to turn to rain, we were relieved to arrive at our destination and lo and behold we were welcomed by majestic snow covered trees and greeted at the

door by Tony who was very gracious and already had the blinds on the picture windows open for us to

marvel in awe at nature's winter fashion show. The propane stove fireplace was already set in motion and had a welcoming warmth contrasted to the snowy surroundings. I can't see enough about this incredibly spacious and comfortable house that Tony designed and built himself. Out of all the windows you can

view the the deer and their private retreat in the woods. The house is spacious and the high glossed hardwood floors that are impeccably maintained and exceptionally clean gave the house an airy feeling. The bathrooms were beautifully tiled with stone floors and the beds were extremely comfortable with premium linens and comforters. The kitchen was a delight to prepare our meals in with many granite countertops and we had everything we needed for entertaining ourselves. The living room furniture with leather couches were very comfortable, which had not been the case with other properties we rented. Tony took great pride in designing this house for comfort, scenery, and safety. There are sensors throughout the house that

light the foyers and rooms as soon as you enter the areas and the appliances are top quality. We had a most enjoyable time bringing in the New Year with this amazing house and our thanks to Tony for treating us to a bottle of wine and for the opportunity to spend time in this lovely house which he took great care to make sure that all who entered would not forget their experience there.

Fantastic Week

  • 5 of 5

We are back from a great week at Tony's house. We rented the house to celebrate my 65th birthday with my wife, our children and their significant others. The house was very comfortable, equipped with everything we needed and the location was perfect. We had coffee on the front porch in the morning and a barbecue dinner on the back deck. Traveling to the beautiful local parks and into Hudson was easy and quick. Tony met us upon arrival, explained all we needed to know and gave us two bottles of wine to begin our stay. Thank you Tony for making my birthday with the family memorable, relaxing and fun. Your house is beautiful!!!!!

11 Days in Columbia County

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent a week and a half here with our 3 1/2 yr old twins and two more friends and had a wonderful time. The house is quiet and private, surrounded by beautiful woods that are filled with wildlife. My son and I are early risers so we would go out each morning, fresh coffee in hand, and look around to see what critters would be visiting each day. We saw deer, turkey, raccoon, rabbits, cows and all kinds of birds.

The house itself was immaculate and in excellent condition. The rooms were all spacious and comfortable but our favorite rooms were the front porch and back deck. We had long leisurely dinners on the deck while the kids ran around and played and at night we'd sit and rock on the front porch with a glass of wine while we watched the light show put on by the countless fireflies.

Home away from home

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed here for the Christmas break. The house is just immaculate! So clean and the open plan configuration makes it feel so spacious. In the evenings the fire makes it feel really cosy. Everything here feels like it is completely brand new and the owner has thought of every kitchen utensil you can think of for your use! They even provided a bottle of wine for us upon arrival which was just a lovely touch! It is located in a wooded area so it is so quiet and pretty. Would definitely be worth a visit in the Summer as the outside patio is huge and had a fire pit too nearby.. Would definitely book this again!

Beautiful Home in a Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent the month of August in this beautiful home in the Hudson Valley. It was one of the most perfect, relaxing times we've ever experienced. The home is immaculate. It is located in a rural part of the Hudson Valley that is only five minutes away from a wonderful supermarket and numerous fresh farm stands. The town of Hudson with its quirky stores and numerous restaurants is only 15 minutes away. Amtrak has a station in Hudson so we could easily take the train to Penn Station and our children were able to come and visit us. Tony let us know that he had no problem with toddlers and there was even a booster chair for our grandson waiting when we arrived. Tony addressed any concern of ours immediately. He is a wonderful host. It was such a treat to sit on either the front porch or the rear veranda and observe the deer, wild turkeys and numerous birds who used the bird feeder. The Takanic Parkway is only 10 minutes away so we were able to drive all over the area and partake of the varied activities. This really was an ideal home located in an ideal spot. We couldn't have asked for anything better.
