About Patty Robertson

Cabin was custom built by the owners using wood from the mature southern hardwood forest on our property. Hiking trails made and maintained by owners with 3 ponds and stone 'resting benches' every so often. Hiking trail map provided. New in 2016 is a covered "Sunset Deck" with spectacular views and sunsets-a short hike from the cabin.

Patty Robertson purchased this cabin in 2010

What makes this cabin unique

New! 2016 Brison built a covered sunset deck on the top of the mountain a short hike from the cabin. Enjoy stunning views and sunsets from the sunset deck or enjoy a nice hike in the mature southern hardwood forest and then relax on the decks of the cabin while watching the sunset. Restaurants are 10 minutes away in downtown Asheville or visit the Biltmore House or Grove Park Inn. The Blue Ridge Parkway is just 2 miles away. Incredible views throughout the house for leaf watchers and wildlife enthusiasts.

Amazing cabin - secluded but still close to the city

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I just got back from our weekend getaway in Asheville and our stay in this beautiful home! Typically when we travel we are out-and-about all day enjoying the city we're visiting--but with our first baby on the way in just 11 short weeks, we took this time to relax. What a perfect house to enjoy our time together! We spent two nights staying in by the fire and cooking dinner and walked along the trails accessible right on the property in the mornings. Beautiful views from the porch for breakfast outside too!

The location is feel secluded up in the mountains but can quickly get to downtown, the Biltmore and the Grove Park Inn (all just about 10 - 15 minutes from the home).

Thank you to Patty and Brison for all the special touches (fire wood, coffee and bath products all provided along with a personal welcome note) that helped make our "baby moon" a special time for these soon-to-be parents!

Amazing Home

  • 5 of 5

I booked this cabin for a surprise 40th birthday trip for my husband. The draw was the micro-brewery scene in Asheville, but this cabin really made the trip. I was glad I didn't book us solid so that we had time to just enjoy some relaxation. Patty was a pleasure to communicate with from the minute I sent an initial question about staying. All information for checking in was provided well in advance and we had no issues finding it. The cabin is an easy, pretty, short drive from downtown although you really feel like you are much farther away once there. Views are stunning! Communication even during our stay was prompt and polite. The cabin itself is spectacular - cleaning crew of the century! The entire place is nearly spotless, like it was just built and no one had stayed yet. Only two very minor issues with the main bathroom and we were informed of one before we even noticed it ourselves (an attempt to fix was made within an hour of us arriving). Hiking on the property is peaceful and with the step-by-step directions provided, along with marked trails, it was easy to find our way where we wanted to go. Everything you could need in the kitchen was there - even a crock pot! Plenty of linens and extras in the bathroom (hair dryer, band-aids, a few toiletries) and perfect little touches throughout the cabin - from the floor heater in the main bathroom to an umbrella and binoculars to artwork. They even had firewood pre-prepped in the fireplace (unfortunately we didn't get a chance to use it). There is no clutter - just clean, cozy, yet wide-open and modern design. Honestly the perfect place for us - my husband was blown away! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and hope to some day stay here again!

My husband and I have rented numerous times through VRBO and have stayed in the Asheville area many times, yet this is only the second time we've been compelled to submit a review. We've never been so impressed with a cabin as we were with this one. The overall beauty inside and out, the magnificent construction, total comfort, not to mention how spotlessly clean - it was top notch. The peace and solitude was unmatched in our view. Abundant firewood and starter supplies were furnished allowing us to enjoy a roaring fire every night. When at the cabin you'd never know how convenient restaurants and shopping are because you're nestled into the hillside and feel like no one else is around. We loved everything about this home and are truly appreciative to Brison & Patty for sharing it with others. We hope to return often!

Ashevilles Best!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent our Honeymoon week at Patty and Brison's spectacular retreat. The cabin, the furnishings, the serenity, the views were more than we could have ever hoped for. Located above the town, the cabin is 10 minutes to everything Ashville. The Biltmore, The River Arts District, The Downtown, The Grove Park Inn and The Blue Ridge Parkway was easily accessible. We felt very at home and relaxed surrounded in pure artistic craftsmanship in the finest VRBO we've ever had the pleasure of staying in. We look forward to referring friends and returning very soon.

A serene relaxing vacation

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent a week at Patty and Brison's cabin celebrating our 49th anniversary. This was the third time visiting Asheville and by far the best accommodations. Their home was beautifully furnished with everything we could need. They made a point of giving instructions on how to use everything and listing restaurant and activity suggestions which was very helpful. We spent a lot of our time on the two porches over looking the woods and mountain ranges. The cabin is a 15 minute drive to town located on the side of a mountain but a short drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway. We would highly recommend a stay here if you're looking for a secluded, relaxing vacation.

Beautiful home, beautiful views!

  • 5 of 5

This was our 3rd visit to this beautiful yet secluded retreat nestled above Asheville, and I can't begin to say how much we enjoyed staying here. The house is well appointed with comfortable furnishings and the deck is a tranquil spot to "chill" overlooking the woods and mountain range in the distance. We had everything we needed and several nights opted to stay in and cook just so we could enjoy the ambiance of our surroundings which included a roaring fire. The owners, Patty and Brison, are personable and wonderful with whom to work. We'll be back for certain!
