Beautiful home with beautiful view in perfect location

  • 5 of 5

The pictures do not do this home justice. The house was immaculate with everything we could have needed, including fireplaces prepped and ready to be lit as soon as we arrived. The long view of Mt. Pisgah and Cold Mountain is amazing and yet it is just a 10 minute drive to the excellent restaurants of downtown Asheville and to the Grove Park Inn. The hiking trail is right outside the door but the location is remote and private. While we were there in winter, I’m excited to return in the summer. I highly recommend staying in this home.

Welcome Home

  • 5 of 5

This is the feeling you experience upon your arrival at this very well anointed, breathtakingly positioned home. Nestled atop Asheville, NC you will find yourself gazing upon beautiful mountains raising up to meet the sky which, whether sunny or overcast, creates a peacefulness only God could design.

The home; masterfully designed and created by this extraordinary couple will greet your heart with the comfort a retreat should offer. Once inside and settled you will find it difficult to leave the comfort and peace of the cabin; all amenities have been well thought out; everything has been labeled for your ease of convenience. Need a cup of tea? You will find mugs in the cabinet; designed and handcrafted by your host Patty, you will find an instant hot water tap at the sink, you will find a container full of delicious teas, along with the tea steeping tool. After you have made your delicious cup of tea you can wander to the couch in front of the fireplace where you have a beautiful view of the mountains, or you could take that cup of warmth out onto the deck where the astounding views continue, or perhaps you choose to sit on the side deck in front of the outside fireplace where the views of those breathtaking mountain also continue.

The handcrafted furniture, the carved trail head markers, the birdhouse, the rock table, all add to the atmosphere created by Brison and Patty as they have without question poured their heart and soul into creating “the best cabin on the mountain”.

Add to this the fact that you are literally 10 minutes from the hustle and bustle of all that Asheville has to offer. Foodies will expand their palates, Book enthusiasts will delight in the search in quaint book shops, Biltmore fans will be mere minutes from the estate, the art district leaves nothing to be desired. The city is easy to navigate, local folks are genuinely helpful and nice.

We have traveled many places on our journeys and have yet to find a cabin/home that made us want to forego our well planned activity line up in lieu of staying comfortably snuggled in and enjoying true serenity, but it happened here.

You simply CANNOT go wrong in choosing this cabin for your next Asheville visit!!!!!

Beautiful, secluded, and romantic, yet only 3 miles from downtown Asheville.

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I loved our stay at this mountain house. The views were spectacular, and the house was gorgeous. We especially enjoyed the hiking trails right outside our door and all of the beautiful details inside the house, from cozy blankets to everything we needed to build a fire. We ended up going to Asheville at the last minute because our trip to Key West was canceled by Hurricane Irma, and we were so lucky that this place was available. We lost power two of our four nights because of the storm's effects in Asheville, but the lanterns and fireplace enabled us to still enjoy ourselves. The owners were wonderful about taking care of us after the power loss, which affected them too and was not their fault. We truly cannot recommend this property enough and hope to be back soon.

What makes this cabin unique

Restaurants are 10 minutes away in downtown Asheville or visit the Biltmore House or Grove Park Inn. The Blue Ridge Parkway is just 2 miles away. Incredible views throughout the house for leaf watchers and wildlife enthusiasts.
