Hiking trails made and maintained by owners with 3 ponds and stone 'resting benches' every so often. Hiking trail map provided. New in 2016 is a covered "Sunset Deck" with spectacular views and sunsets/sunrises-a short hike from the cabin.

2016 Brison built a covered sunset deck on the top of the mountain a short hike from the cabin. Enjoy stunning views and sunsets from the sunset deck or enjoy a nice hike in the mature southern hardwood forest and then relax on either porch (front porch has a wood burning fireplace & backporch is covered) of the cabin while watching the sunset. Restaurants are 10 minutes away in downtown Asheville or visit the Biltmore House or Grove Park Inn. The Blue Ridge Parkway is just 2 miles away. Incredible views throughout the house for leaf watchers and wildlife enthusiasts.
