It is really too difficult to explain how phenomenal this house and property are! Beautiful beyond!

My husband and I go to Asheville twice a year. He found this “cabin” and we looked at the reviews and decided to give it a try. We rented it for our Anniversary for three nights and upon arrival, regretted not booking it for longer. The house is so unique in more ways than we can say. From the tremendous size of the home to the recycled bark shingles that came from the trees that were cut down for the home to the woodwork inside and out, the HUGE bed, the awesome hiking trails up to the Sunset Observatory down to the lampshades that were whip stitched with leather, everything was perfect! We were still able to be in downtown Asheville in 10 minutes and a world away on a mountain top with incredible views back at the house. We relaxed and napped on the breezy, comfortable open air back porch. The owners were lovely and we wanted to purchase some items we found in the home that Patsy made. They invited us to their home on the mountain and we enjoyed seeing their home, her lovely artwork and spending time getting to know them. We came home with the most beautiful slate pieces with fern imprints on them as well as leather whip stitched coasters. We saw baby black bear cubs, wild turkeys and a “ferocious squirrel” who has given the owner a run for his money! We will stay here again and again and have already recommended it for many friends and family. It was an amazing experience and we can’t wait to return. We have the slate pieces in special places in our Charlotte home, look at them so often and think about our time there with great affection and joy. I would give it and the lovely builders/owners a 10/10!

Excellent location, terrific cabin, had everything one could need, much attention to details.

  • 4 of 5

The owners go the extra distance to ensure the cabin has everything needed for a great visit the only minor issue is that about half of potential great views are blocked by large trees- hopefully to be harvested. Otherwise, a near perfect place, including the views that are open. The cabin is comfortable in all areas. Lots of extras in the kitchen and bath. Excellent back porch and grill. Excellent fireplace, and another on front porch. Solid WiFi with Verizo, nice TVs. Bed was very comfortable, in a pleasant room. Good hiking trails, well marked, all around. Overall, a great place, well cared for. Would definitely return.

Georgous views, unique, tasteful accommodations

  • 5 of 5

The property is immaculate. There are cosy spaces to enjoy the view. The bed was comfortable and dressed in quality linens. Unique decor pieces enhanced the home. The only thing I could have wished for was a teapot. I love to make my tea in a teapot. Would definitely stay here again. Delightful.

Truly beautiful mountain home

  • 5 of 5

The add doesn't lie. Great place, great views. Very comfortable with great amenities. Peaceful and serene. Good hiking trails right on the property and many others minutes away. All this and in only 10 minutes you can be in downtown Asheville with excellent restaurants, galleries. Would stay there again in a second if we decide to go back to the area.

Mountain privacy with close downtown proximity

  • 5 of 5

Great mountain cottage with beautiful views and privacy, while being only minutes from downtown Asheville. We really enjoyed our long weekend at this home. Patty & Brison have gone out of their way to make everything very simple. They have instructions/suggestions for everything, making it easy to relax from the time you arrive at their cottage. The wood burning fireplaces are wonderful with plenty of firewood at various locations on the property. We enjoyed both the outdoor & indoor fireplaces during our stay....they even have those set up & ready to go! The well groomed trails were an added plus....we ventured to the sunset deck to admire the view. I would definitely recommend this cozy cottage to anyone wanting a relaxing getaway! Patty & Brison have done a terrific job with this property!

Beautiful home with beautiful view in perfect location

  • 5 of 5

The pictures do not do this home justice. The house was immaculate with everything we could have needed, including fireplaces prepped and ready to be lit as soon as we arrived. The long view of Mt. Pisgah and Cold Mountain is amazing and yet it is just a 10 minute drive to the excellent restaurants of downtown Asheville and to the Grove Park Inn. The hiking trail is right outside the door but the location is remote and private. While we were there in winter, I’m excited to return in the summer. I highly recommend staying in this home.
