Beautiful, secluded, and romantic, yet only 3 miles from downtown Asheville.

My husband and I loved our stay at this mountain house. The views were spectacular, and the house was gorgeous. We especially enjoyed the hiking trails right outside our door and all of the beautiful details inside the house, from cozy blankets to everything we needed to build a fire. We ended up going to Asheville at the last minute because our trip to Key West was canceled by Hurricane Irma, and we were so lucky that this place was available. We lost power two of our four nights because of the storm's effects in Asheville, but the lanterns and fireplace enabled us to still enjoy ourselves. The owners were wonderful about taking care of us after the power loss, which affected them too and was not their fault. We truly cannot recommend this property enough and hope to be back soon.

Perfect mountain cabin for 2!

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at several VRBO homes across the country and this was one of the best by far! This home is the perfect combination of rustic charm and modern comfort. We felt so at home that we didn't didn't want to leave. You feel that you are miles away from anyone and yet you are only a 10 minute drive to downtown Asheville and all that it has to offer. Make sure you take advantage of the well maintained hiking trials right outside your door. Patty and Brison were very helpful and Brison's tips for local hiking trails were awesome. We will definitely stay here again.

One of a kind

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I have stayed in several VRBO lodgings in New England, NY, Nova Scotia and Asheville. We have been pleased with all of our choices. We wanted to return to Asheville because we had been impressed by the warmth of the people, the music/art/craft offerings, the beauty of the area, and the delicious, eclectic food using local produce.

The uniquely designed cabin built by Brison is in a stunning location, and Patty's decorating knack and attention to detail makes this place a one of a kind stay. It's all about the ambiance: the beautiful woods used, soft lightening everywhere, cushions scattered on the comfortable sectional in front of the fireplace, and our favorite, the back covered porch with the everchanging view of the mountains. Five months after our stay we are still talking about our stay. The pictures that we took will keep the memories of that special visit alive.

Amazing cabin - secluded but still close to the city

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I just got back from our weekend getaway in Asheville and our stay in this beautiful home! Typically when we travel we are out-and-about all day enjoying the city we're visiting--but with our first baby on the way in just 11 short weeks, we took this time to relax. What a perfect house to enjoy our time together! We spent two nights staying in by the fire and cooking dinner and walked along the trails accessible right on the property in the mornings. Beautiful views from the porch for breakfast outside too!

The location is feel secluded up in the mountains but can quickly get to downtown, the Biltmore and the Grove Park Inn (all just about 10 - 15 minutes from the home).

Thank you to Patty and Brison for all the special touches (fire wood, coffee and bath products all provided along with a personal welcome note) that helped make our "baby moon" a special time for these soon-to-be parents!

Amazing Home

  • 5 of 5

I booked this cabin for a surprise 40th birthday trip for my husband. The draw was the micro-brewery scene in Asheville, but this cabin really made the trip. I was glad I didn't book us solid so that we had time to just enjoy some relaxation. Patty was a pleasure to communicate with from the minute I sent an initial question about staying. All information for checking in was provided well in advance and we had no issues finding it. The cabin is an easy, pretty, short drive from downtown although you really feel like you are much farther away once there. Views are stunning! Communication even during our stay was prompt and polite. The cabin itself is spectacular - cleaning crew of the century! The entire place is nearly spotless, like it was just built and no one had stayed yet. Only two very minor issues with the main bathroom and we were informed of one before we even noticed it ourselves (an attempt to fix was made within an hour of us arriving). Hiking on the property is peaceful and with the step-by-step directions provided, along with marked trails, it was easy to find our way where we wanted to go. Everything you could need in the kitchen was there - even a crock pot! Plenty of linens and extras in the bathroom (hair dryer, band-aids, a few toiletries) and perfect little touches throughout the cabin - from the floor heater in the main bathroom to an umbrella and binoculars to artwork. They even had firewood pre-prepped in the fireplace (unfortunately we didn't get a chance to use it). There is no clutter - just clean, cozy, yet wide-open and modern design. Honestly the perfect place for us - my husband was blown away! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and hope to some day stay here again!
