This haven sits just off the main street, close to the sands and shopping of Cannon Beach. Two blocks from the beach, the Ocean Cottage is perfectly situated for short strolls to the sweeping views of the Oregon beach and long walks along the seashell laden sand.
The light and airy decor takes full advantage of the condensed floor plan, allowing for an optimum use of space.
The rich dark hardwood floor welcomes you in, leading you to a small living room complete with a love seat built for two nestled just in front of the gas fireplace. WiFi, cable, and a DVD player are available for a night of electronic entertainment.
A fresh, clean kitchen has everything you need to enjoy your stay with a fully stocked supply of cooking essentials.
Warm and inviting, the simple bedroom harbors a beautiful vintage style queen-size bed that reinforces relaxation and tranquility. Two fold-out cots are hiding under the bed in case you might be traveling with four vacationers. Bathed in soft blues and crisp whites, the ocean theme runs from the living area to the compact bathroom.
Just like Cannon Beach, the Ocean Cottage is pet friendly and will gladly host up to four of your fury canine friends for an additional fee per pup.
The famous Haystack Rock sits prominently just off shore, presiding over the stunning coastal scene. Walk there with coffee in hand, or rent a FUNcycle!
Take a short walk down Hemlock Avenue and you'll find yourself surrounded by premium restaurants, shopping, and Cannon Beach sweet shops.
If hiking is your thing, then look no further than Ecola State Park. Offering over nine miles of pristine coastline to be explored, this park is a treat for active visitors.
No matter what time of year it is, Cannon Beach has something for everyone, and the Ocean Cottage is the perfect place to enjoy the wide array of possibilities.
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
Very peaceful. Loved the courtyard area, its very cute. Enjoyed walking to the beach and having my morning coffee.. great location.. would love to stay again.
Easy walk down to the beach and quick five minute walk to many restaurants and shops!
This place was much smaller than we originally thought. The weather was super clear and sunny so, we did not need to spend much time inside.
Upon arriving at the cottage, we were surprised to find it so cramped. The pictures showed a cottage that was far more open and accessible. The description explained that there was one bedroom and a futon for sleeping. In order to use the futon(a fold out cot, stored under the bed) all furniture would have needed to be moved and crowded into a corner(which was not available). As I mentioned in our reservation, I needed something that was as ADA accessible as possible. Entering the premises, we found no room for my husband to move with his walker. The bedroom was so small that he would have to walk holding on to the wall and the bed to make it to the bathroom and the bathroom door was about 20 inches wide necessitating that he enter sideways which was very unsafe for him. The one time he attempted a shower, he discovered that the shower curtain was suspended on a spring curtain rod that will a gentle hold slipped down causing him to almost fall.
The furniture was old, uncomfortable and dirty. The bed sagged and you constantly felt like you were going to fall out. Again my husband could not use his walker to get to the bed safely.
We stayed in the cottage for three nights and then we felt it was too unsafe and dirty for us to stay. I cleaned the cottage and bathroom finding old dropping of food on the floor. The drawers were dirty with old food crumbs and the dishes needed to be washed before use.
This is not what we expected for our fee and would like a refund. Our stay was very unpleasant and frankly I was concerned for my husband's safety. We left and went to a hotel on Monday.
We have friends who have a home registered with Vacasa who were shocked by our report and also checked out your place online and agreed that our expectations were not met. We used Vacasa based on their recommendation but will not pass on that recommendation. Just because a place is in a popular area does not excuse poor cleanliness and old broken down furniture. We expected better!
We would appreciate a refund on all the unused nights--the cottage was far cleaner when we left than when we arrived.
Very clean and super close to the beach. Loved it!!!
