A retreat for the family. Are you looking for the perfect lake house get away? If so, then this is the house for you! This wonderful property has the charm of a rustic lodge, offering you all of the comforts of home. Park your boat in our new covered boat dock or your Jet Skis, all just steps away down the sloping walk from the house. The yard kept as a nature setting, with lots of trees and a beautiful view of the lake.
As you enter the main floor through the front door, you are greeted with a spacious great room with a cathedral ceiling, and a wall of windows overlooking beautiful views of the lake. The great room features a stone fireplace that also opens to the sun deck, TV, and plenty of comfortable seating. The dining area seats up to 8, and a breakfast nook with seating for 4, with the fully equipped kitchen between. The main level also has 3 bedrooms and two full bathrooms, including the master suite.
The lower level has two bedrooms plus a bunk bedroom, sitting area perfect for the kids to cuddle up and play games. Which opens up to the lower lever covered deck that includes an outdoor hot shower. The master bedroom suite offers your own private bath with tub/shower, large bedroom with sliding door to the deck. Laundry room is also available for your use, located on the lower level. As well as the double car garage.
Outdoor spaces include 2 decks both that face the lake, grilling area, patio set for enjoying the view and a glass of wine. If you want sun, go to the boat dock, float in the lake, enjoy a refreshing swim. The water is a very pretty blue/green and about 30 feet deep at the dock. You are more then welcome to park your boat during your stay. The Keowee Marina is only about a mile away from our dock. Our house is located in the southern most point of Lake Keowee on a deep water cove. The cove is large enough to water ski in, but also a quiet setting for relaxing next to the water. We are conveniently just minutes from Seneca, grocery stores, shopping and restaurants.
Lake Keowee is about 18,500 acres of beautiful clean, clear water. At about 26 miles long and max 3 miles wide, it has more than 300 miles of shoreline with many islands and quiet coves for you to explore. Unlike other lakes in our area, Lake Keowee's water levels are maintained year round. If you don't have a boat you can rent one from Lake Keowee Marine in Seneca. (Make your reservations ahead of time).
The area is surrounded by 1,000's of acres of protected land, with six state parks and the Appalachian Mountains within sight, providing many hiking trails and outdoor activities. Clemson University is minutes away, offering sporting and cultural events for you to enjoy.

Lots of room, Nice view of the lake, dock was great, outside area was good. Would like to go back and enjoy the lake a little more. The driveway was a bit of a surprise, very steep, no place to park the boat trailer. The kitchen drawers could use some attention. Would go back a visit again.
Great house for large entertaining
Lots of space but finishes and furniture in need updating.
Awesome place to stay
Great house with awesome amenities, huge yard, and awesome fire pit. The house was clean upon arrival and everything was in tip top shape. Perfect place to do some boating and bonfire sitting! Excellent location and the owner was a pleasure to work with. Would definitely recomend!
Great location and dock, but somewhat worn interior.
Location in Seneca is very convenient, with very good water view and dock on a deeper water cove. The dock is excellent. The property is definitely steep but there is a concrete walkway and steps that make it easier to access the dock. We visited in late February/early March and the lake was beautiful.
The interior is fairly worn (eg the fabric on some of the DR chairs was completely worn through to the foam pad) and the oversized Edwardian furniture is unusual for a lake house. There's a new large SS frig but the rest of the kitchen is outdated. The only window curtains are in the bedrooms...not a big deal since the street is at a higher elevation, but we felt a bit on display when sitting at either of the dining tables after dark in the front of the house.
This place needs a lot of work that needs to be done
Pictures are totally different of what you find in the house. There is mold on the living area seiling ( even that was on the review from August owner pretended that he never new about it). He told me that I can leave the house after we drive 3 hours to get there and was late at night. Unacceptable!
Chairs covers are all ripped and the fabric couch is so discussing . The kitchen equipment is from 70’s and needs to br updated. There were only bottom sheets on bunk beds and we couldn’t use it for the kids and there were no spare sheets you can use.
If I didn’t drove that long to get there I would leave that day.
The only good think is the view and the fire pit outside.
We spent Christmas week in the house, so enjoyed the lake as a view rather than for recreation. The house is spacious, beds are comfortable, and the kitchen drawers are packed with utensils. It's close to grocery stores and has a beautiful view. Fire pit is as advertised. The owner prides himself on his response time. If these things matter to you--it is also a well-worn home. Stains on the carpets and ceiling, scarred furniture, empty picture hooks on the walls, temperature indicators worn off the stove top, missing knob on the washing machine, etc. The driveway has a ridiculous slope, but no more so than others in the neighborhood. Can't beat the location for getting to stores, to Clemson, and also onto the Lake within minutes.
Clemson University Stadium is 7 miles away.
