This wonderful property has the charm of a rustic lodge, offering you all of the comforts of home. Park your boat in our new covered boat dock or your Jet Skis, all just steps away down the sloping walk from the house. The yard kept as a nature setting, with lots of trees and a beautiful view of the lake.

As you enter the main floor through the front door, you are greeted with a spacious great room with a cathedral ceiling, and a wall of windows overlooking beautiful views of the lake. The great room features a stone fireplace that also opens to the sun deck, TV, and plenty of comfortable seating. The dining area seats up to 8, and a breakfast nook with seating for 4, with the fully equipped kitchen between. The main level also has 3 bedrooms and two full bathrooms, including the master suite.

The lower level has two bedrooms plus a bunk bedroom, sitting area perfect for the kids to cuddle up and play games. Which opens up to the lower lever covered deck that includes an outdoor hot shower. The master bedroom suite offers your own private bath with tub/shower, large bedroom with sliding door to the deck. Laundry room is also available for your use, located on the lower level. As well as the double car garage.

Outdoor spaces include 2 decks both that face the lake, grilling area, patio set for enjoying the view and a glass of wine. If you want sun, go to the boat dock, float in the lake, enjoy a refreshing swim. The water is a very pretty blue/green and about 30 feet deep at the dock. You are more then welcome to park your boat during your stay. The Keowee Marina is only about a mile away from our dock. Our house is located in the southern most point of Lake Keowee on a deep water cove. The cove is large enough to water ski in, but also a quiet setting for relaxing next to the water. We are conveniently just minutes from Seneca, grocery stores, shopping and restaurants.

Lake Keowee is about 18,500 acres of beautiful clean, clear water. At about 26 miles long and max 3 miles wide, it has more than 300 miles of shoreline with many islands and quiet coves for you to explore. Unlike other lakes in our area, Lake Keowee's water levels are maintained year round. If you don't have a boat you can rent one from Lake Keowee Marine in Seneca. (Make your reservations ahead of time).

The area is surrounded by 1,000's of acres of protected land, with six state parks and the Appalachian Mountains within sight, providing many hiking trails and outdoor activities. Clemson University is minutes away, offering sporting and cultural events for you to enjoy.

Awesome lake house!

  • 5 of 5

Our group consisted of five families with an age range of 4 to 52 years old. We were a large group and used every square inch of the house and were very comfortable. The house was gorgeous and had just about everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom towels were soft, and we loved having access to a washer and dryer for the week! We were secluded enough to be away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough for daily trips to the grocery store. We took advantage of the fire pit, the horseshoe pit, the dock, the garage - and nothing disappointed! We brought our boats and launched them at the nearby marina. The people at the marina were fairly knowledgeable of the area and always very helpful. We all swam and floated off of the dock, and caught several fish there as well. Lake Keowee is absolutely beautiful. The water is very clean. We were able to visit a waterfall and jump off of the Lake Keowee jumping rock. We spent several hours skiing, kneeboarding, and tubing. The backyard is very steep - much more than you can tell in the photos, so be prepared for that.

Some tips: There is a map of the lake in the side table in the living room. We didn't find it until our last day there and wished we would have found it on day one! Also, there is an ice station between the house and the marina on 123. It is much cheaper to buy the ice in bulk there than to buy bags elsewhere. We took several coolers down to the dock and in the boat each day so we went through a ton of ice. Thank you David for sharing your beautiful home with us! We are talking about making this an annual vacation!

Very clean and easy access to everything we needed. Owner was beyond accomodating!

  • 5 of 5

Our son was graduating from Clemson University and we needed a larger place to rent. This place was perfect! The convenience to Clemson, shopping and everything else was great. The setting on the lake is beautiful with an elevated deck looking over the bay. The property is in a wooded setting and feels remote when you are there but has access to anything you need just minutes away. The owner, David, was beyond accommodating to us and communicated back and forth quickly on any question or issue we may have had. I would highly recommend the property to anyone and given the need again would not hesitate to rent the home again. This was our first experience with a VRBO rental and can honestly say was a good one. Thanks David for helping us enjoy the week during our son's great accomplishment graduating from Clemson!

Perfect lakeside retreat for families

  • 5 of 5

The property his conveniently located near shopping and restaurants. It is on a quiet residential street overlooking Lake Keowee. As other reviewer's have mentioned, a driveway is somewhat steep but manageable. Once down the driveway there is ample parking for 4 or 5 vehicles.

The home itself is older but well-maintained and clean. The kitchen and bathroom fixtures are somewhat dictated but functioned perfectly. The kitchen is large enough to allow for several people to work at one time. There is a large dining table that easily accommodated 8-10 people.

Televisions and Wifi worked without a problem and allowed us to keep in touch with work. Cell phone reception is good in most parts of the house.

The layout of the house makes it easy to accommodate multiple families. There is a master bedroom upstairs with a bathroom. There are also 2 additional bedrooms upstairs with a bathroom nearby. This allowed for 2 families to be upstairs while the third family was downstairs. Most of the children slipped downstairs in a room with bunkbeds in which we also placed an air mattress. There is another bathroom downstairs, with a shower.

The back deck is relatively new and provides plenty of space to sit and enjoy the lake. The gas grill outback is relatively new and works well. We particularly enjoyed the fire pit area. There was plenty of wood provided and conveniently stored beneath the back deck.

We all enjoyed swimming in the lake and fishing from the dock. The water was clean and refreshing.

The owner was very responsive to any needs that we had during and leading up to our stay.

We went hiking to several nearby waterfalls. The hikes were relatively short (< 5 miles) and easy terrain. The falls were more than worth the walk. We stumbled upon a corn maze at Little Cane Creek Farm in West Union, SC. The kids had a blast.

The pizza place at the top of the street was really good. We also had the best brisket and barbecue at Blacks Smokehouse. Make a point to go, it's that good.

To sum it up, I can't think of a better place to spend a long weekend with family and friends. We are already planning to return next year.

Perfect Spot!

  • 5 of 5

Great house! I rent a house every year during football season for a group of us who graduated from Clemson. We decided to try a different area of Lake Keowee and so happy we did. The house was perfect for the 12 adults and 4 kids under 3. The bedroom sizes worked great for pack n plays. The kids loved jumping off the dock into the water. I think their most favorite part was make s'mores at night. The fire pit was a nice feature. We will definitely inquire about staying next year. One more thing- the owner Dave, was VERY accommodating and answered questions immediately. Thank you for a great stay!
