About RON PERRY
Ron and I are Kentucky natives. We have a love for Paris specifically--both the history and the people and truly love living here. Ron has been a broker/realtor since the 70's and loves history, so the make-over on the post-civil war building apartment was a natural. We both love to travel---and as a professional artist, my work frequently takes us to places in the US, France and Italy. Being seasoned travelers , often staying for a month or more at a time, we really understand just how important the details are for a 'home away from home' place. We have put lots of love and care into this place and are so happy to be able to share it with you!!
RON PERRY purchased this Apartment in 2013
Why RON PERRY chose Paris
This was a vision for both of us. We love Paris and wanted to be a part of the downtown renovation and rebirth that has been happening. With streets named after famous horses and horseshoes buried in the sidewalks on Main (Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood, move over!) it was irresistible when the old Fee grocery store came up for sale in 2013. Historic photos grace the interior and hallway of the apartment and the old Fee's Grocery sign that a was originally painted on the side of the building many years ago has been refurbished! We love being part of the downtown scene and contributing to the future of our beautiful area.
What makes this Apartment unique
This apartment is ideal for a romantic get away or mixing pleasure with business in the heart of horse country. With easy access to Lexington, Ky (only 12 miles away down one of the most beautiful stretches of highway anywhere---passing through horse farm after horse farm) or the Kentucky Horse Park---it lets you live in the charm of the small city while affording easy access to big city shopping, performances at Rupp Arena, Keenland Race Track, the Red Mile and more. Of course with 54 working horse farms in Paris and Bourbon County, the heart of the Bluegrass is just outside your door!

Perfection in Paris
We couldn’t have been happier with our accommodations. The apartment is bright and filled with sunlight, beautifully decorated, appointed and very spacious. The proprietor Ron Perry is amenable without being intrusive.
We spent 8 days enjoying the sights and sounds of Kentucky Bluegrass country featuring visits to Claiborne Farms, Old Friends Retirement Center for Thoroughbreds and a full day at the Kentucky Horse Farm. The scenery is spectacular with all the perfectly manicured farms.
Right across the street from the apartment is a great little cafe Happy People Coffee Company. Just across the street east and on the same side of Main Street Lil’s Cafe offers a variety of breakfast and lunch options. For the heartier appetite try Jerry’s Family Restaurant on the southern outskirts of Paris.
We would recommend this venue which proved to be delightful and an excellent bargain for the money.
Charming, spacious and cozy. This gem is nestled in the heart of horse country. Such a lovely stay.
Thank you Cheryl! I hope to see you again soon! You are welcome anytime!
Our third stay in this charming apartment in Paris was as wonderful as always. Love the new coffee shop across the street. Apartment is clean, bright, and convenient to all that Lexington and the beautiful surrounding countryside have to offer. We will be back again. Thanks Ron!
Thank you Sarah, so happy you enjoyed your stay and please come back!
Clean and charming!
Very clean, comfy bed, and great location!
Thank you David! Hurry back! It was our pleasure having you stay with us!

Beautiful apartment, friendly little town with some problems
This apartment was one of the most beautiful places where we have stayed. I loved the high ceilings, wide plank flooring and beautifully decorated rooms. We were looking forward to dining downtown, enjoying some bourbon in Bourbon County, and walking back to our home away from home. While we loved eating breakfast and take out lunch from Lil's, we found half of the list of restaurants provided by the Paris Chamber had closed. We did enjoy the Paradise Café and a former country club called Stoner Creek on the outskirts. Paris is surrounded by beautiful Kentucky Bluegrass horse farms and is close to the Bourbon Trail. The only real problem we had was with the club next door on the one night it opened, Saturday. The screaming and cursing by what sounded like lots of angry people on the street outside was really frightening. Fortunately it closed by 11:30 p.m. The club window had several bullet holes, which we noticed earlier, and a club a couple of doors down had closed after a shooting during the summer, we learned from a search of local news sources. We certainly hope these problems can be corrected. People in Paris were so friendly.
Downtown Paris has some nightlife, the problems were addressed and the clubs were closed. Paris remains one of the safest small towns in our area. Police do foot patrol now and most area are quiet again. As you can see from the other reviews this was a isolated incidence.
Charming Historical Condo
Return back in time to when downtown was the heart of a community by staying in this historical but modernized condo above an Antiques Store. This unit couldn't be more charming with its restored flooring and woodwork yet furnished with most of today's conveniences. It's a little quirky like the city washes the street twice a week, but Paris and the surrounding areas are just loaded with things to see and do. You'll want to stay here again!
Thank you John, we do have a clean little town:) Hurry back!
The property is located in downtown Paris. Call me for directions and lock box code to get into the VRBO.
