Relaxation!

  • 4 of 5

Though hours were spent in research, two weeks before our trip we had not yet found the cabin we were looking for. The week before our vacation we came upon the cabin on Little St. Germain and thought “this is the one.” At the same, however, Hurricane Harvey was wreaking havoc on Houston and we did not know if we would be heading there to help my sister rather than to northern Wisconsin as we intended. On the Friday before Labor Day, we got the joyous news from my sister that the floodwaters had not breached her house! (To find this out, she had to go into her neighborhood by boat; the water was up to her garage.) We reached out to Michael, who was heading up to the cabin himself, and made arrangements to arrive on Monday. When we got there, we were greeted warmly by Michael, his wife, and his parents, and they showed us around. They took wonderful care of us throughout the process. The cabin was as good as the pictures. Lovely, and clean, and nicely appointed. Between the cabin, the surrounding tall pines, and the water lapping on the nearby lakeshore, we could immediately feel the stress of work melting away. Chantel, who takes care of the site, was also very helpful. Other than her and her son, we had the resort property to ourselves.

We had planned an active vacation, canoeing and bicycling every day, but it was not to be. It was cold and rainy almost the entire time and we did not get to bike until the day before we were to leave. Even use of the very nice screened-in porch was curtailed because of the chill. But none of that mattered. We had a splendid, oh-so-relaxing time such that we were basking in the glow of it for two weeks after we returned home. It was just what we needed! My only concern was a too-soft bed for my bad back though my spouse was not bothered by it. We appreciated the less “touristy” style of St. Germain and enjoyed trying restaurants around the area. Our favorite was probably Agave Azul, a Mexican restaurant on the outskirts of Eagle River. All in all, the cabin, and vacation, were exactly what we had hoped for.

COMFORTABLE, COZY & CLEAN!

  • 5 of 5

What a gem! My husband and I came for some relaxation (without kids!) and this was just the place. The view is unbelievable; the pictures don't do it justice of how close you are to the water. The porch was amazing as well as the small deck off the master bedroom. The lake is just beautiful; we had great luck fishing for pan fish! The cabin is part of a resort so there are other cabins pretty close however we didn't see anyone; it was like we had the place to ourselves. The Owner's were just wonderful to work with & the management on site were very nice. We highly recommend heading to Sayner Pub for their wings - so good! Thank you for a great vacation! We didn't want to leave!!

Late Sept getaway gem

  • 5 of 5

You can't go wrong with this cabin nestled on Little St. Germain Lake. It's close to the water, set in the trees & just lovely. Very quiet and a wonderful retreat. We spent 3 nights here. Even with the heat (it was in the mid-80s), the cabin was cool due to tree shade and overhead fans. The screened-in porch was a high point where we read, ate & watched the water.

There is plenty to do in the area. We loved the supper club Blink Bonnie's (amazing steak), shopping in Minocqua, exploring Eagle River & having breakfast at Wolf Pack (try the pancakes).

Thank you for a providing us the perfect getaway.

Cozy Space with Wonderful Views

  • 5 of 5

We loved this cabin! We spent a week in August with our two children and the space was perfect for us. Plus, the couches pull out into futons for additional sleeping if needed. The enclosed porch was wonderful in the morning to sit and relax, enjoy the sunrise and that morning cup of coffee. During the week we stayed, there was only one other cabin being occupied so it truly felt as if we had the whole resort to ourselves. The resort had plenty for the kids to do too -- playground, rec room, (including ping pong and foosball), pedal boats, canoes, and fishing off the dock. Just minutes away from town. You can't go wrong renting this cabin.

making memories with the grand kids 2017

  • 5 of 5

Beautifully funished cozy cabin wth great lake views from the screened porch. The grand kids ages 7 and 10 enjoyed watching eagles and listening to the loons, fishing ,swimming and playinging on the beach, At night the game room provideded the setting for ping-pong tournaments, and the fire pit was the perfect spot for smors and deer watching The kids decieded that this should be a north woods wisconsin family tradition and Nana and Papa agree

Chantel and her son Matt made us feel like family. Matt carried the motor for Papa and hooked it up and Chantel even fiound a coupon for savings at a local resturant for us.

Thanks for sharing your home with us and helping us make special lasting memeories with our grand kids
