Because the owners have invested thousands of dollars in updating their home with a new luxurious kitchen and bath that offers comforts that other homes do not, including a large 40' flat screen television that features upgraded High Definition signal and DVR service. This is the only unit with DVR service in the complex allowing you to ski or fish all day and not miss the big game or favorite programming. Also offers Wi-Fi internet with 50 Mbps download speed provided by Suddenlink cable.

The large wall-mounted 40' LCD 1080P flat panel television in the living room is complemented by a DVD player and a Sony component stereo system. This homes new river-rock wood burning fireplace has a thermostatically controlled blower to circulate the warmth of the fireplace throughout the home and has a deck full of free firewood.

The kitchen offers ample counter space and is well-stocked. The owners have spared no expense in the kitchen that features self-closing drawers and doors, an enormous peninsula with slab granite counters that offers counter seating, new stainless steel appliances, stainless sink, designer faucet, stainless drawer pulls, and bright LED lighting.

This privately-owned home accommodates and sleeps up to 5 - 6 people comfortably in a California King Bed in the downstairs bedroom with a new pillow top luxury mattress and goose down comforter, a small 24' flat panel television and rustic mountain furnishings. The bedroom also has an extra vanity and sink. The spacious loft sleeps an additional four people in one Queen Bed and two Twin Beds. The loft has a 32' flat panel TV with DVD player. This home has a mountain lodge style that is modern, cozy and extremely comfortable. The living room offers seating for everyone and features a chenille sofa, loveseat and large chair next to the fireplace. There is a good supply of board games, puzzles and a small collection of books and magazines.

The luxurious bath offers new vanity and linen cabinets with slab granite counter, and oil-rubbed bronze fixtures. There is a tub-shower combo and elongated Eco-toilet.

Outside, this home features the best location within the Horizons 4 Condominiums Resort and is as close as you can get to the recreational facilities, including the year-round spa and dry-sauna, seasonal heated pool (Memorial Day - Labor Day) and a tennis court, a recreation room that provides a pool table, Ping-Pong table and arcade games. You'll appreciate the short walk in the winter from the Jacuzzi style spa into your home.

Unit #110 is lovingly cared for and updated by the owners who visit frequently. This home is non-smoking and does not allow pets. The deck is filled with firewood for your unlimited use and offers a view of trees. You have access and use of the outside ski locker for your ski equipment storage overnight so you don't have to leave your skis in your car. This unit is also steps to the town's free shuttle system stop and walking distance to Von's, restaurants and movie theatres. Given the convenient location of our home, please note it does experience some noise from passing automobiles during summer if the new dual-paned windows and doors are open.

Mammoth provides an escape from our Southern California city life and is the gateway to the areas we love to spend time recreating such as Yosemite National Park, Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, Devils Postpile National Monument, June Lake Ski Area, Mono County, Bodie ghost town, Mono Lake, Mount Whitney, John Muir wilderness, Crowley Lake, Owens River and the town of Bishop.

Why John Y. chose Mammoth Lakes

We chose this property because we like being within walking distance to the amenities of town while still enjoying the tall pines. You don't need a car and can utilize the town shuttle that stops nearby. You can also walk to Von's, the movie theater, restaurants including Roberto's Mexican, Grumpy's Sports Grill, Mammoth Tavern, Giovanni's and Old Mammoth Park, the meadow and Mammoth Creek. The town offers summer and winter shuttles and the stop on our street near the end of our driveway, you can hop on and head to the Village, up the Mountain, out to the lakes area.

What makes this condo unique

Our complex offers a private tennis court, swimming pool (heated in Summer), Jacuzzi, dry-sauna, a recreation room with video games, pool table and free Ping-Pong. The property is spread out over 4 acres and includes a forest of tall pines and a wonderful BBQ area in the summer.

We thoroughly enjoyed the full amenities that your home offers including the HD-DVR which allowed us to ski and come back and watch the bowl games Your home very cozy and comfortable with enough seating for everyone in the living area. The King mattress is extremely comfortable and provided a good nights sleep, we even looked at the brand because we were thinking of buying one for our home and your kitchen is fabulous, nicer than our kitchen at home! Mammoth Lakes is north of the Owens Valley, a scenic area with extensive hiking opportunities and a major western ski area, Mammoth Mountain. The town is remote and surrounded by mountains, on the West, Mammoth Mountain looms over the town, while to the South, the Sherwin Range dominates the view. This hilly terrain and the high altitude makes the area great for high-altitude athletic training. USA Running makes their home in Mammoth Lakes, CA.

Mammoth is located within minutes of the East gate of Yosemite National park. Other areas of interest include Mt. Whitney, about an hour and a half drive South of Mammoth Lakes.

Visitors can take State Route 203 from the town of Mammoth Lakes to the Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, over Minaret Summit, then down to Devils Postpile National Monument, with access to the Ansel Adams Wilderness. The area has natural hot springs which are sometimes used after skiing. Other features include lakes, a soda springs, and an obsidian dome.

Location to everywhere in mammoth was fanatic. Love hopping on and off the trolley. Cool loft. Kitchen very serviceable for eating meals. Very comfortable. Pool spa and laundry all very close to condo.

Nicely updated unit

This is a nicely updated unit. It is clean and stocked well with various kitchen necessities. Everything functioned properly. it is conveniently located to a close by movie theater, Vons grocery store and other restaurants. the unit is close to Meridian Ave. So during certain hours of the day there is some traffic noise if you open the windows. Although this is not a problem at night when there is very little, if any, traffic. One suggestion for the owner would be to supply a bathtub mat. The tub is made of porcelain. It was so slippery that I had to buy a mat at the local drug store.
