Clear Mountain Mornings And Majestic Views For Your Colorado Getaway! Mill Creek Road and the Dumont area are a beautiful example of mountain living. Your stay will afford abundant opportunities to experience the beauty of the area in a comfortable home setting. Mill Creek Road is paved and the drive is only up the first quarter mile of the road.

The available area includes over 3,000 square feet of living space, thoughtfully designed and newly remodeled throughout. There are 2 comfortable suites with 2 bedrooms in each, and a centrally located solarium, great room and kitchen facility. The laundry room has high efficiency washer and dryer.

The North Suite boasts a quality pocket billiard table and a whirlpool tub, while the South Suite offers convenient walkout access to the deck and a bonus sun room.

Centrally located great room and well-equipped kitchen facility includes a large screen entertainment center. Two large windows accent the view of snowy peaks to the west.

Enjoy the private wood deck in back. View wildlife and diverse plants from the deck or from your bedroom window. Possible sightings include deer, bighorn sheep, foxes, squirrels, humming birds, and bears (from a safe distance, hopefully). Most nights are great for star gazing.

It’s a short drive to Loop railroad, ski areas, hot springs, and historic mining towns. Empire, Georgetown and Idaho Springs are all within a 10 minute drive. Zip line and white water adventures are just down the road. Denver is 30 miles east. Take day trips to Aspen, Vail, Air Force Academy, or explore the Continental Divide on the Colorado Trail. Even with all of that, there is a “feel” of being in a remote alpine location.

Very clean, great floor plan, great location

  • 5 of 5

The house was super clean and had everything we needed. The floor plan was perfect for two families...the lower floor has two bedrooms and a great room (living room, kitchen) and the upper floor has two bedrooms and a large living area with a pool table. It was cold outside, so we didn't get a chance to sit outside on the back patio but it looks like the perfect place to relax on a nice summer evening. Location is great. You feel like you are out in the country but it's only a 10 minute drive to the grocery store or restaurants. We look forward to returning!

Great Time!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful home to spend time in with family. Everything we needed and Ted was wonderful to work with. The bedroom layout was perfect for us. The living room area was a great place for our whole family to hang out together while eating and playing board games. Super view of the mountains and some terrific hiking close. Thanks Ted!!!!

Great place for large Family.

  • 5 of 5

We had our family together for the loan Labor Day weekend. Thursday through Sunday. We have four grown children. There were a total of seven of us staying. We had plenty of room. There are two room on one side of the house and three on the other side (One room is through a bedroom). There are a number of doors that close off the bedroom areas from the living room. This was very nice for us as some of our group like to retire earlier then others. The kitchen was nicely stocked with all we needed to cook our breakfasts and a couple of evening meals. We really enjoyed the pool table! The home was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We liked the location as we did a day going through Rocky Mountain National Park (, a day in Colorado Springs (Pikes Peak Cog Railroad & Garden of the Gods) and a day in Denver. WE also did the Georgetown Loop Railroad and silver mine tour. Very close to the home and very informative! It was wonderful to return in the evening after a long day of sightseeing and be able to just sit and relax! What a wonderful place! Ted was very friendly and available to answer any questions we might have. Oh, and the view was amazing! We would highly recommend staying here if your travels bring you to the area. THANK YOU TED!

Very clean, easy to get to, comfortable furnishings, owner very accommodating , great floor plan.

  • 5 of 5

This is a great property, nothing fancy but extremely nice and very clean. The floor plan is great especially if you have several people staying. Our daughter and son-in-law have a 3 year old so the bedroom they slept in had an additional smaller bedroom through a doorway that had a double bed. It was perfect for them because they had their own bedroom but he was right where they could check on him. They also had their own bathroom. There is an additional bedroom and bathroom downstairs. This owner thought of everything, even down to the baby gates going up the stairs so it is a very kid friendly home. But there is lots for the grown-ups too. A nice pool table upstairs along with two bedrooms upstairs. The bathroom has a very nice large Jacuzzi tub. It also has a quaint outdoor gazebo with rocking chairs for a relaxing evening outdoors to sit and take in the beauty and listen to the trickling stream that runs along side the property. If you'd rather be indoors, the home has a state-of-the-art big screen with multiple channels for surfing. The kitchen is nice and well equipped. It has all the modern amenities. They even have a washer and dryer for your use and thankfully an iron and ironing board that we used to touch up our clothes for the wedding. The owner, Ted is super nice and very accommodating. He is very friendly and will visit with you but is very respectful of your privacy. I thought we definitely got our money's worth. This is a great place to stay and has easy access on and off the interstate. It's in between Idaho Springs and Georgetown so you're not far from things to do. I would highly recommend this property if you're looking for a great place to stay while in Colorful Colorado!
