Slice of paradise.
This place has everything! The house was clean, comfortable and well-equipped for relaxing, cooking and celebrating the end of summer. So many activities were close by, the vibe of the community was friendly and welcoming. Our vacation started with accommodating property owners and got better with every sunrise, appearance by local wildlife, and interaction with nature and Grand Haven locals! Looking forward to a 2018 repeat visit :)
Very clean and spacious
Very nice home. It's right on the river and 2 kayaks were included. The morning view from the deck was unforgettable.
Well stocked kitchen with anything you need to grill out or cook at home. We did find some great restaurants although the brochures left in the house were 2 years old.
The bedrooms are very comfortable but do not have TV's, which was a bit disappointing. If you have kids that play video games the only TV in the house is in the living area.
The drive to town was about 10-15 minutes so we might have driven it several times a day which wasn't a big deal for us..
Property manager very easy to deal with and is quickly available by phone.
Just what we needed
Perfect place to get away from it all. My family lives in MI, I live in CO. We all met here for a wonderful reunion. Quiet area. Perfect view of the river, and a huge yard for hanging out and catching up. The boat dock was great for our fishing boat, and the launch is just 2 minutes away. The house has everything you'll need for preparing meals and entertaining. Parking for the whole family, and you can also park your boat trailer there so you don't have to leave it at the launch. Thank you for a great week.
Great location and plenty of room for gatherings and family time!
We loved this location for our girls trip with my mom and sisters! The view of the river was serene, a nice deck/backyard, great living spaces and well stocked kitchen. The only down side was the sleeping quarters downstairs was too moist, the walls even felt wet and were bowing out, so no one felt comfortable sleeping there, but there were plenty of sleep options upstairs to make up for it! We found plenty of bedding in the closets and drawers of the bedrooms and pullouts, fold outs in living room turned into comfy beds. Lisa was very friendly and helpful. She gave us great recommendations for dinner and activities to do. We definitely will go again!
Very clean and spacious cottage close to Grand Haven
My family of 4 stayed at the cottage with another family of 4. The size of the cottage was perfect for the 8 of us. The bedrooms are a good size and the main bathroom is huge. The basement was perfect for the kids. There are two twin beds and a futon bed. The kids even had their own bathroom. They loved having their own space.
The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and there's also a grill on the deck which was a plus. The outdoor space is also wonderful. There's a huge lawn and a dock for your boat. Our kids also enjoyed catching minnows off of the dock. Grand Haven is a short drive or boat ride down the river. We often took our boat in to town for lunch, dinner or ice cream.
The cottage was very clean. This was the thing that stood out the most for me. We've rented a lot of cottages and the cleanliness usually leaves much to be desired. However, the Grand River cottage was immaculate which was a great bonus.
We really enjoyed our stay and were so pleased with everything. We will definitely return.
Perfect setting to visit with family while in town for our daughter's wedding!
Our daughter got married in Grand Haven and we had relatives traveling in from Canada, California and all over Michigan--all staying in different places in Grand Haven. This house was the perfect place for family to stop over and visit. The kitchen area and living room were spacious with a beautiful outdoor view. We had our daughter's miniature schnauzer with us and there was room to walk him on the property and just across the street. This property was just 10 minutes outside of the busy part of town so we were close enough to our events but could then come back to this quiet retreat with ample parking. Lisa was terrific! She greeted us upon arrival and made sure we new how to get in touch with her if we had any questions. We had all the basic comforts of home (towels, comfortable beds, extra bedding, kitchen with coffee pot, microwave...ect and a grill). We did not get to truly enjoy the river or kayaks due to our busy schedule but we will definitely go back again. All of our visitors were also impressed with the layout. Thanks for providing a home away form home for our family's big event!

In the fall is the salmon festival, and in winter is Winterfest. Grand Haven is also home to many different national and state parks. There are hiking and biking trails with bike paths. In addition to outdoor activities there are many indoor activities to enjoy. Shopping, movie theatre, and history museum. Nearby Muskegon also offers fun activities. 15 minute drive to the Lakes Mall and 35 minute drive to Michigan's Adventure, a family friendly amusement park.
