Very nice home! Great space for family vacation.
Very nice house, secluded, but within walking distance to beach area. The two bedrooms and loft area makes this a very suitable house for larger family. We ate dinner on the Lana’i but mosquitoes could be problematic if you don’t have fans running.
Our flight didn’t arrive on island until 9:00PM so it was very dark when we got to house. There were no lights on and it was difficult to find. Reflecting house numbers on the mailbox would helpful.
I will definitely recommend this vacation place to my friends!
We loved staying here. It’s perfect for 2 couples. Each bedroom has it’s own bath. There is room for more but you would have to walk through a bedroom to get to bathroom. We loved the lanai and especially liked that it had 2 ceiling fans. Had all of the amenities we needed. Coffee maker, utensils, stove, fridge, dishwasher, and laundry. It has a small supply of toilet paper, laundry soap, dishwasher soap, and dish liquid to cover you till you can get more. You can hear the ocean at night. There is beach access if you go up one street there is a trail. There is a grocery store just down the street. Really a great spot to use as a home base to explore the island.
This house is even better than what you can see on the pictures
The house is clean, spacious, and has very friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The property management contact is nice and responsive. We had a great experience!
Be prepared that the 2 bathrooms open from the 2 bedrooms.
This is the perfect get-away!
We absolutely loved our stay! Not only is this home lovely, clean, conveniently located and spacious, it has all the amenities we needed whether we were staying around the house or looking for outdoor fun. You can choose to dine and relax on the fully equipped lanai or grab boogie boards and head down to the beach for some waves and snorkling. Shopping is close by too! We thought this was a once-in-a-lifetime trip for us ... but no doubt, we will be back. LOVED IT.
Incredible stay and would definitely recommend!
This house was incredible! The property was clean and filled with anything we needed on our vacation! Easy access and very friendly property management. My family had a blast and everyone was thrilled with the house we picked. It couldn't have been better. None of us wanted to leave! 5 stars all around!
Beautiful, quiet, clean, convenient to sights and shopping.
The property is very comfortable and sits toward the end of a street so it is very quiet and peaceful. Very little traffic. You can walk down to the bay to watch the sunset or swim. Close proximity to shopping, beaches and attractions. You are within a 2-3 hour drive (or less) of just about anything on the island. The house is very comfortable and clean. Nice kitchen and large living/dining area. I highly recommend this property and would stay here again.
Keauhou Bay is a historic area in the Kona District of the Big Island of Hawaiʻi. The name comes from ke au hou which means 'the new era' in the Hawaiian Language. A short drive south of Historic Kailua Village, the Keauhou Resort area has emerged as one of Hawaii Island’s great cultural destinations. The area is bordered on the north coast by beautiful Kahaluu Bay with the famous Kona coffee country of Holualoa just up the slopes of Mount Hualalai. Featuring the Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay and the Outrigger Kanaloa at Kona, Keauhou Resort is an area blessed with sunny weather and perfect waters for snorkeling, scuba diving and kayaking. These idyllic conditions made it a favorite hideaway of Hawaiian royalty, and today the area boasts diligently restored heiau (temples), ancient fishponds and a wealth of historical sites. Interpretive centers throughout the resort weave together the area’s present and past, making a stay in Keauhou as enriching as it is relaxing. At night, the Keauhou area attracts manta rays that feed on microscopic plankton near the shore. You can spot these manta rays in the shallow waters off the Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay, which shoots out spotlights into the plankton filled waters nightly. Location: Kona is one of seven regions on Hawaii's Big Island, encompassing a 60-mile stretch of the western coast. The Big Island sits at the southeastern end of Hawaii's island chain, and is 4,038 square miles, double the combined size of Hawaii's other seven islands. History: Kailua-Kona, also called Kailua-Kona Town, is a city in the Kona region and was, at one point, home to King Kamehameha in the early 1800s. The Historic Kailua Village in Kailua-Kona pays homage to Kamehameha and other Hawaiian royalty with tours of historic sites such as Hulihee Palace and Mokuaikaua Church. Also located on the Kona coast is Kealakekua Bay, where captain James Cook first landed on the Big Island and eventually was killed, in 1779. Historical Parks: Kealakekua Bay State Historical Park has a monument to Captain James Cook. Near Kealakekua Bay is the 180-acre Puuhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park, which was once a sacred place of refuge. The Kaloko-Honokohau National Historic Park is a 1,160-acre park just north of Kailua-Kona that is home to historic temples and ancient petroglyphs. Beach Activities: There are many white-sand beaches and ocean activities available on the Kona coast, from snorkeling and surfing to whale watching and dinner cruises. The waters along the Kona coast are calm and clear, providing perfect visibility of green sea turtles, fish and other marine life while snorkeling and scuba diving. There are surfing schools that offer individual and group lessons, sport fishing charters, dinner cruises and boat tours that will put you up close to whales, dolphins, manta rays and green sea turtles. Things to Do: There's plenty to do in Kona aside from beach and ocean activities. Kona's small towns have many shops and galleries. Take a tour up to the 14,000-foot summit of nearby Mauna Kea, either during the daytime, to enjoy spectacular views, or at night, to take in some stargazing. Visit Kona in October to take in the annual Ironman World Championship, a long-distance triathlon that attracts some of the world's top athletes. Kona Coffee: Kona has many excellent restaurants that offer dishes featuring fresh seafood from the Pacific Ocean, but the real treat on this part of the island is Kona coffee. There are many coffee farms in Kona, the only place where Kona coffee beans are grown to produce 100 percent pure Kona coffee. The conditions in Kona are just right for growing these rare beans--elevation, constant cloud cover and rich, volcanic soil. Aside from taking home some of this famous beverage, visitors can tour many of the area's coffee farms, and visit the Kona Coffee Living History Farm.
