Stylish, Spacious & Newly Remodeled 2BR on Quiet Street, Highly Walkable


This is a completely private and fully furnished suite on a quiet tree lined street in a fantastic walkable neighborhood. The apartment has just been renovated from the ground up in 2016. The space has an open floor plan that is stylish, functional and comfortable. A modern feel with designer touches yet uncluttered. (Note: this is not somebody else's apartment.)

New polished concrete floors throughout. Fully equipped kitchen with stainless appliances including refrigerator, dishwasher, gas range, microwave, and ample cabinet space. The dining area seats six comfortably. There are two private bedrooms each with a queen sized bed and bedding, large closet, bedside tables and chest of drawers. The living room has a flat screen TV, ample seating and a sleeper sofa that pulls out into a queen sized bed with bedding. We can also accommodate one more person on a twin size rollaway bed. We can provide you with a pack 'n play, highchair and toys for your wee little one. There is also a spacious private bathroom with shower, tub and a washer dryer unit. Private small patio with potted succulent garden and bistro table. Short and long term stays are welcome!

We also provide the following:

linens, bedding, towels, kitchen supplies, iron, ironing board, hair dryer. (We do not supply personal toiletries for the bathroom aside from hand soap).

This is a smoke free, pet free, kid friendly home.


The desirable Rockridge neighborhood is one of the friendliest, safest and most beautiful areas in Oakland. The apartment is centrally located just a couple blocks in either direction to the hip and highly walkable neighborhoods found on College, Claremont and Telegraph Avenues. You will be delighted to find an abundance of local shops, markets, eateries, cafes, pubs, boutiques, parks, playgrounds and more. Here is a link to our neighborhood website for more details.

We are also only three blocks to the Berkeley border and a bit over 1 mile to the UC Berkeley campus. Eight blocks to Trader Joe's and nine blocks to the Whole Foods! Also very close to other great neighborhoods such as Temescal, Piedmont, Lake Merritt, Montclair and the lovely hills and redwood forest are just a ten minute drive away.

In addition to the urban experience offered by this location, we are a 10 minute drive to the Bay and the Redwood Forest in the hills near our home. Our location also serves as a gateway to launch explorations across Northern and Central California including places like Napa/Sonoma Wine Country, Lake Tahoe (Snow sports or Summer Fun), Muir Woods Redwood Forest, Yosemite National Park, Giant Sequoia National Park, Russian River, Sierra Nevada Mountains, California Coastline & Beaches (Mendocino, Point Reyes, Bodega Bay, Santa Cruz, Monterey, Carmel, Big Sur), etc...


Just a couple blocks to the bus lines and 8 blocks to the Rockridge BART station. A 20 minute BART ride finds you in San Francisco. Pop into the city for an outing. But you could chose to forgo transportation and walk to your hearts desire accessing pretty much anything you need.


The apartment is on the ground floor and is completely private with a separate entrance. There is plenty of street parking on the block and normally the space in front of our house is open. We will provide access instructions to the apartment as the time approaches by giving you a key code that you will type into the key pad. This will allow you to come and go as you please without needing to meet with us to get a key.


We are the owners of this house, this is not a sublet. We live upstairs if you need anything. Otherwise we give our guests total privacy. We are a family of three and have a 7 year old boy. We can share toys with you if you'd like.


Just a a few things:

1. Please don't rent from us if anyone in your group is a smoker. This is a smoke free environment. Even if a guest has not smoked inside, smokers leave an odor behind. No smokers allowed or smoking of any kind in the house or anywhere on the property. An additional cleaning fee may be charged to mitigate any smoke odor left behind in the apartment.

2. No street shoes indoors, slippers or house shoes only please.

3. No pets.

Clean, spacious apartment near Berkeley/Oakland

My husband, myself, and another couple were coming in for the weekend to attend a wedding and decided to stay at LoLo’s place. We had a great stay at her place as it is clean & spacious and perfect for what we needed that weekend. LoLo was very responsive and when we had trouble with the lock she was quick to assist us and fix it right away. For future guests please be aware that the family lives above the apartment and you can hear people walking around. Other than that everything was great, we had everything we needed and had a lovely stay.

This is a lovely apartment in a beautiful neighbourhood.

The unit was perfect for my family. It was clean and very modern and had everything we needed. It is a nice walk to the train station and the town is lovely. Lolo was very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely love to return one day.

Lovely, clean space and attentive, courteous owner

Best furnished kitchen we have ever had in a VRBO rental apartment! Also, lots of light and not much ambient noise. But please note that the floors are cement and the owner requires that street shoes be removed at the door. This information should be stated in the VRBO site.

Very child friendly :)

We have a 2 year old and felt welcome with the set up pack and play, toys, and high chair. These items made packing and unpacking easier and my son feel right at home (he immediately went to playing with the toys). Additionally, the place was large, clean and comfortable!

Hidden Gem in Rockridge

We were looking for a place to stay near our daughter who lives on the Oakland/Berkeley line--and we found exactly what we were looking for! The apartment is tucked away on a quiet residential street, just a few blocks from restaurants, shopping, and public transportation. It can technically sleep six, but probably best for 2 couples and 1-2 more who don't mind sharing a pullout sofa. It is modern, well-appointed, and very spacious for our family. So nice to have coffee provided, ready to brew! We enjoyed eating lunch outside with friends on the sunny/private patio.

We will be back!
