Beautifully Renovated 4BR 3BA Near Silver Lake, 8 Min Walk to Beach

Bedrooms 4
Space 2,200 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 - 7 nights

About the property

Fully renovated inside-and-out, perfectly situated in the middle of it all.

This beautifully remodeled home is in the middle of it all, perfectly situated with quick access to a semi-private beach at Cullen Street (Near Silver Lake) -- featuring 4BR and 3 baths, this very quiet spot at the end of a no-thruway street is located in one of the areas that is Rehoboth's best kept secret -- referred to as the "Forgotten Mile."

You'll get out of the noise and yet have perfect access to everything. Whether you're looking for Dewey Beach night life, or family fun on the boards, or an adult culinary and art experience, you'll find this location to be the perfect peaceful retreat for all. Ample parking (including a 3-4 car driveway) make this clean, fresh reno a perfect vacation spot for families and adult groups.

The well-appointed master offers a king-sized bed, a chaise for quiet time, walk-in closet, 42' TV, and beatiful natural light. Sliding doors access a private side deck with a bistro table and chairs for breakfast al fresco. The brand new master bath is well -appointed with granite and a large walk in tiled shower.

The three additional bedrooms feature queen size beds, including a mini-master with an extra bed -- a daybed/trundle that pulls out to a queen sized bed.

The 2nd upstairs bathroom also offers guests a grand walk-in shower and granite with ample room, and you'll enjoy access to the side deck from one of the bright front bedrooms.

The third bathroom is adjacent to the main living space and features a large walk-in shower.

A granite eat-in bar-style counter borders the all-stainless kitchen, appointed with service for 10 including wine & cockatil barware, serving platters and bowls, a crab pot, cookware and utensils. We provide dry spices and condiments that keep, olive oil, etc. and only ask that you replace what you use up.

Adjacent to the kitchen is access to an outdoor living room furnished with comfy chairs, cocktail table and couch, just steps from the outdoor shower.

You'll have fun cooking on the chracoal grill, which is built in to the chimney along the driveway -- fire up the grill the old school or use the provided gas grill.

Fifers produce stand is just across the street, and you can pick up your fresh produce on the way back from the beach.

You'll love strolling over to Silver Lake at sunset, or into Dewey to enjoy the sunset view bayside at any of the wonderful dining spots or night clubs perfectly situated along the water.

We've renovated the property completely, and this location is ideal -- quiet for sleeping but buzzing with action. You'll enjoy the convenience without the traffic hassle, and getting to and from both Dewey and Rehoboth hot spots is a much better experience along Silver Lake and the quiet streets in our neighborhood.

About Pat McKeefery

I was born and raised in Delaware. I love the Delaware Beaches. Dozens of great restaurants, fishing, golf, shopping, all in close proximity.

Pat McKeefery purchased this house in 2014

Why Pat McKeefery chose Rehoboth Beach

It's a beatuifully clean, fresh renovated house! Location, location, location. Property is just an 8 minute walk to the beach at Cullen Street, on a no-thruway, very quiet, safe for kids, street. You're in the middle of it all, but out of the traffic and noise. You can walk a few blocks to Dewey nightlife or take the trolley or bike 5 minutes to Rehoboth proper. The property is on a quiet street with plenty of parking. Great for a family gathering!

What makes this house unique

This is a quiet block but it's in the middle of it all. A beautifully stocked farmer's market is directly across the street, and it's one of those spots that's a hidden gem -- no one knows it's right in the middle of it all! But you'll want to come back again and again.

More to the package than expected

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at the property. The location was very convenient for getting to a section of the beach that was not crowded, only a quick 5 minute walk. The fenced in back yard also allowed for a nice place to relax with friends during the evenings. The house was larger than I was led to believe from the pictures. Everything was beautifully updated from the counter tops to the showers. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to feel like they are staying at a very nice resort, cause this place didn't cut any corners where quality was concerned. Also plenty of parking!

Perfect girls 50th birthday party and sorority reunion

  • 4 of 5

The property was beautiful, comfortable and worked well for family as well as our girls weekend! Easy access to beach, bars, restaurants and shopping. Safe neighborhood and walked everywhere! The beds were comfortable, home was clean and well stocked with everyday supplies! Loved the lay out and the decor! Everything seemed new and in great condition. Owner was responsive and information on the site was accurate and helpful! We all LOVED it! We will be planning a return trip for next year for sure!

Nice property but there were some issues. I would recommend with some reservations

  • 3 of 5

The set up was great for my husband and our children and 2 young grandchildren. WE had a great time and loved our first visit to Rehobeth Beach. However there were some issues.

The photographs of the upstairs over stated the quality of the rooms. They were adequate but not as fresh as they looked in the photos. We even had to do some cleaning in the room with the trundle bed before setting up. The mattresses seemed old, either very soft or the springs creaked.

The owners might want to put a bit more effort into cleaning up. The grill needed scrubbing and ultimately tin foil before using. When we arrived there were MANY house flies. I know that this often comes with beach property but it could have been addressed before we came. We bought a few fly paper strips and within a few days they were mostly gone. The bathrooms were clean although the toiletry rack in the master bedroom was covered in rust and ?. It should just be thrown out. There was no mention in the write up but there are no bath tubs, just walk in showers.. Little challenging with little ones but we figured it out

The kitchen was well equipped and everything worked well.

It took some effort to figure out what sheets went with what bed . While the shelf was labeled, things were not were they were supposed to be. But eventually we sorted it out. There was a request by the homeowners that we wash and return the sheets before we left. We did so except we ran out of time and left the last set of sheets in the dryer. (there was also some confusion about check out time. Had we checked out when it turned out they wanted us to there was no way we could have washed and put away all of the sheets.). In the end the owners charged us $50 for not putting away all of the sheets. It was very frustrating and really unfair.

The neighborhood was quiet and pleasant and we loved the back yard and the back deck.

If you know the area you will not be surprised that much of the activities are centered around a very busy thoroughfare. WE did not know this and so we were surprised that we had to cross that street to get to the beach. BUt it turned out to be a very pleasant walk and we are close to some restaurants as well. Its not within walking distance to the boardwalk which we LOVEd and frequented often but it did require us to drive.

THe Brewery, petting farms and Funland at the Boardwalk were great fun for the young un's and for us as well. LOVE REHOBET

Owner's Response: Hello from Patrick & Jayla! And thank you so much for pointing these issues out for us -- as we are (as usual) booked solid this summer we have had no time to check in on the items you've mentioned here. We will replace the rack(s), speak with our cleaning team about these details, and make sure that (should you try us again next summer) you are more than satisfied and without reservations on your next visit. We're SO happy to hear the good things you had to say and happy to learn that you love Rehoboth. We do too, and we want everyone to have a great experience in our home. Everything in our home was new last summer, and our cleaning team reports that our guests have been gentle and for the most part, no significant damage has been done to anything, so we'll have to check out that trundle bed issue asap. Again, thank you so much for your feedback -- we can't improve your experience if we don't know! Happy summer, and we hope to see you again next year.
