We loved it, you will feel right at home it's very cozy and homie. I didn't want to leave there are so many things to do wether it's reading or exploring the nature reaserve and it really close to Acadia national park. It's very quiet and relaxing I hope to come back. It's like a home away from home very rustic and peaceful. I will miss it very much.

A wonderful family location

My husband and I and our 3 girls had a wonderful time at the cabin. Right on the water with the ocean breeze we spent many hours watching the lobstermen out front and exploring the rocks for treasures.

The cabin had everything you might need and owners were just a call or text away if any issues came up. We saw all kinds of wildlife and really enjoyed the walk to the wharf every day. There was so much to explore between the rocks and some beach areas at low tide. We've never seen so many shells!

Loved that our dogs could come with us and they enjoyed watching the little red squirrel that would tease them every day - just out of reach. There are dog friendly hikes in the nature preserve that led to beautiful coastlines! We didn't have any neighbors the week we were there so it was super quiet, and even if we had there's only one cabin within sight so it wouldn't have been an issue. The little church was intriguing and loved reading about the history of the cabins. Town isn't far so restocking on groceries was easy and picking up lobster for dinner is a must!

Overall it was a wonderful spot and we hope to be able to visit again! Highly recommended!

It immediately felt like home!

Everything we needed was there! The cottage is amazing. Where it's located is magical. It truly allowed us to experience peace and quiet. A break from the real world. Each morning we could watch the fishermen checking their traps and listen to the waves lapping on shore. We explored Petit Manan, the wildlife preserve that this property borders. What a beautiful place! We hope to return in the future!!

So great!

My wife and I were so pleasantly surprised by this place, it's hard to put into words.

First, the value. Incredible! You more than get what you pay for here.

The location is beautiful. This is absolutely the place for those looking for peace and quiet. In the evening and night hours the only sounds to be heard is the water washing up on the rocks just outside, and the occasional strong howl of wind. During the day, add the sounds of distant boats trolling and checking their traps. By the end of the week, that ended up being one of the sounds I would miss the most.

The sunsets? Surreal. The view across and down the bay is just gorgeous. Not more than a ten minute walk away are some sand flats. Head out there at low tide with just a small trowel and dig up some clams for lunch or dinner. What's better than that?

There is one other cabin relatively close, but not close enough that privacy is an issue. The other neighbors a bit down the way are great folks if they are around, very friendly and more than willing to give advice on the area. Not a ten minute drive down the road you come down the peninsula on is a small fresh seafood shack. Have lobster for dinner every night for a nice price, I sure did!

Inside the cabin was my favorite place of all. Didn't bring enough books? Don't worry about it, this place has what essentially amounts to a small library. If you love reading or snuggling up by a fire, you'll be very pleased here. In one bedroom on one side of the cabin is a fireplace, just outside of the other bedroom in a living room on the other side of the cabin is a wood burning stove. We spent most of our time at night in this room, nice and toasty and enjoying the sounds of the fire while reading.

Another nice feature is the WiFi access. Most cabins I have stayed in the past ten years have not had this, and while it is nice to disconnect a bit, I found this convenience to be helpful. There was little use of it truth be told, but it is just fast enough to actually be able to watch Netflix if you're so inclined on one of those late nights before bed.

Oh yeah, and this is actually in the middle of a nature preserve. Want hiking? You're in the middle of it. Just walk out the door and go explore. There is plenty of other hiking to be done within 20-30 minutes drives if you wear out the local area, so have no fear.

Could go on for paragraphs more, but out of space. Book it!
