Mammoth Lakes Condo Rental Photos and Description

Quiet 2br/2ba Sleeps Up To 6. King/2 Twin Beds/Queen Sleeper. Great For Families

Our non-smoking, no pet, luxury Juniper Springs Lodge condo is a quiet courtyard views unit with two bedrooms, and two full bathrooms. It will comfortably sleep up to 6 adult guests. One bedroom has a king bed. The guest bedroom has twin beds. The spacious living room has a queen sleeper sofa, stone gas fireplace and a large screen HDTV. There are spectacular views from the living room and the large balcony porch. Parking is included in the building’s heated underground garage with direct elevator access.

This unit is especially coveted because its quiet location overlooks the beautiful courtyard, and is just steps from Eagle Lodge and Chair 15. On the inside you will find the creature comforts of home including a gas fireplace, microwave oven, dishwasher, iron/ironing board, high speed internet, flat screen TV, Direct TV, VCR, DVD and more. Laundry facilities are only steps away.

Sitting slopeside on Mammoth Mountain's southern rise, Juniper Springs Lodge is the High Sierra getaway you have always dreamed of. Adjacent to the Eagle Express six-passenger chair lift, it presents a quiet air of sophistication while at the same time standing strong as a rugged, yet distinctive Mammoth landmark. The architecture is dramatic and romantic, its scale and styling subtle and in harmony with its surroundings. Upon arrival you will pass through the grand, multi-story lobby into the Hearth Room. With its timber-beamed ceiling and massive rock fireplace, it is the ideal place to meet family and friends at the end of the day.

Condé Nast Traveler selected Juniper Springs Lodge as one of the premier ski-in/ski-out resort properties in the country (with 150 runs), and our 2-bedroom condo is a great option for a weekend or week long getaway. All the amenities you'd expect from a top-notch resort are here: a large outdoor swimming pool heated to 86 degrees year-round, three hot tubs, two barbecues, game room, business center, fitness center, and underground parking (which is an incredibly nice perk especially after a full blown Sierra powder dump!).

Skiers and boarders will enjoy the convenience of purchasing lift tickets on-site at guest registration (located in the main lobby), and the free seasonal shuttle runs every 30 minutes during ski season makes traveling into town, the Village, Main Lodge or Canyon Lodge an effortless affair.

Beyond the abundance of outdoor activities -- golfing, hiking, fishing, biking, horseback riding, cycling, kayaking, tubing, canoeing, hot air ballooning, etc. -- the town of Mammoth offers a nice medley of restaurants that run the gamut from casual fun to fine dining. Ultra-hip boutiques and day spas can be found in the Village and on Main Street.

Great Property

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here for 5 nights and it was very accommodating. It is a little warm in July and there is no AC but we made do with the provided fans. The room is well stocked and easy access from elevator. Convenient ice and laundry right by the room. Maintenance is very responsive. Front desk and resort staff are very nice and helpful. We very much enjoyed the pool and spa's onsite and the location is great. We would definitely come back but maybe during cooler seasons.

We very much enjoyed local eateries such as The Stove and Delicious Kitchen. The location is not far from the many lakes to chose from but we really enjoyed McGee Trout Pond and the staff there were amazing!

Would stay here again

  • 4 of 5

The property was well located in the middle of Mammoth Lakes! Great views and accomodations! I highly recommend eating lunch at CJ's Deli on Old Mammoth Road. Great service and the food (all homemade) was excellent.

The condo itself was very nice and had what we needed for a week of racing motocross. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows and comforters were exceptional! (I might need to find out where they were purchased from). The floor in the front room could have been vacuumed more thorough and the outdoor patio floor still had cigarette butts and not recently swept but other than that it was clean and tidy. I have a few ideas and semi-complaints if at all. It was not the owners fault but the maintenance decided to start work at 6:50 am... a little early and quite frankly rude for renters or even owners to have to listen to. The only other issue I would have liked to be different was having the access to the business center. The key is not programmed for it and nor would the front desk staff accommodate. So I had to use someones else's key to make it all work out during my stay. Other than that I would recommend this particular VRBO to my friends and the hotel itself.

I would stay here again assuming the price was not any higher.

This is our second time staying and we loved it again. Great location and even though we didn't have the kids this time, the pool and spa are always well

Fabulous location, good layout for family of 4

  • 4 of 5

We were thrilled with location as the kids were steps away from ski school and we were ~100 yards from condo building to Eagle Lodge and Eagle Express lift. It made the daily access to slopes so quick and easy.

We liked the 2 bedroom layout for our family of four. The kitchen was well stocked (equipment not food) and we had a few dinners there. Furniture was comfortable. There is a sofa bed in family room but it would be pretty crowded if a family needed to use it.

The condo could use a little more maintenance but nothing major. Some examples:

- toilet in girls bathroom leaked when flushed

- kitchen sink faucet leaked at counter so we wrapped a towel around the base

- closet doors in girls room don't slide open and closed

- fireplace didn't work at first but Ricardo (maintenance contact) explained you had to bang glass with your fist to get it to light.

Ricardo was very helpful and responsive any time we had a question.

Overall we liked the property, loved the location, and would stay there again despite the small inconveniences.
