About the property

Top Floor 2BR/2BA Sleeps Up To 6, Spectacular Panoramic Mountain Views

Upgraded October 2014 (new living room furniture, HD Internet TVs in all bedrooms, pictures still show old furniture))

Our non-smoking, no pet, luxury Juniper Springs Lodge condo is a top floor unit with amazing panoramic views of the ski mountain. It has two bedrooms, and two full bathrooms. It will comfortably sleep up to 6 adult guests. One bedroom has a king bed. The guest bedroom has a King bed. The spacious living room has a queen sleeper sofa, stone gas fireplace and a large screen HDTV. There are spectacular views from the living room and the large balcony porch. Parking is included in the building’s heated underground garage with direct elevator access.

This unit is especially coveted being one of only few units in the entire complex to offer spectacular views of the ski mountains. It is just steps from Eagle Lodge and Chair 15. On the inside you will find the creature comforts of home including a gas fireplace, microwave oven, dishwasher, iron/ironing board, high speed internet, flat screen TV, Direct TV, VCR, DVD and more. Laundry facilities are only steps away.

Sitting slopeside on Mammoth Mountain's southern rise, Juniper Springs Lodge is the High Sierra getaway you have always dreamed of. Adjacent to the Eagle Express six-passenger chair lift, it presents a quiet air of sophistication while at the same time standing strong as a rugged, yet distinctive Mammoth landmark. The architecture is dramatic and romantic, its scale and styling subtle and in harmony with its surroundings. Upon arrival you will pass through the grand, multi-story lobby into the Hearth Room. With its timber-beamed ceiling and massive rock fireplace, it is the ideal place to meet family and friends at the end of the day.

Condé Nast Traveler selected Juniper Springs Lodge as one of the premier ski-in/ski-out resort properties in the country (with 150 runs), and our 2-bedroom condo is a great option for a weekend or week long getaway. All the amenities you'd expect from a top-notch resort are here: a large outdoor swimming pool heated to 86 degrees year-round, three hot tubs, two barbecues, game room, business center, fitness center, and underground parking (which is an incredibly nice perk especially after a full blown Sierra powder dump!).

Skiers and boarders will enjoy the convenience of purchasing lift tickets on-site at guest registration (located in the main lobby), and the free seasonal shuttle runs every 30 minutes during ski season makes traveling into town, the Village, Main Lodge or Canyon Lodge an effortless affair.

Beyond the abundance of outdoor activities -- golfing, hiking, fishing, biking, horseback riding, cycling, kayaking, tubing, canoeing, hot air ballooning, etc. -- the town of Mammoth offers a nice medley of restaurants that run the gamut from casual fun to fine dining. Ultra-hip boutiques and day spas can be found in the Village and on Main Street.

Mammoth also has a growing arts and cultural scene with performing arts, live music, and arts & crafts festivals throughout the year.

And finally, there’s incredible nature to explore, such as Mammoth Hot Springs, Devils Post pile, Horseshoe Lake, Owens Valley River, San Joaquin River, Lake Crowley, Mt. Whitney, Yosemite, Mono Lake, Death Valley, ancient bristle pine cone forest, a western ghost town, fish hatchery and more!

We hope this brief description has piqued your interest and sense of adventure. Thank you for stopping by and we look forward to hearing from you!

It's worth mentioning: By booking directly through us, not only can you save money, but you can be assured you will be staying at one of the prime ski-in/ski-out properties on the mountain.

About Gil Avidar

I'm and avid skier who skies more than 90 days annually. I love the outdoors experience and would like my guests to enjoy it as much as I do.

Gil Avidar purchased this condo in 1999

Why Gil Avidar chose Mammoth Mountain

This is a premium unit originally owned by the builders for their own use. It offers some of the best views in the complex. I regularly receive unsolicited offers to purchase the condo.

What makes this condo unique

Beside the premium breathtaking views, the unit is just few steps away from the elevators and the laundry room.

Great, but a few minor issues...

  • 4 of 5

Unit was a great location - ski in - with short walk to lift to ski out. Spacious two bedroom unit with great view. Kitchen well equipped - building has nice gym, pool and other nice amenities.

Unit was a bit dusty, unclear if blankets were clean. Elevators in Juniper Springs bldg are insanely slow, for no apparent reason.

Owner's Response: Unit went through deep seasonal cleaning just prior to arrival of this guest so not sure what the ticked this guest. My property manager is always happy to help, but was never contacted by this guest.

Great Mammoth Condo!

  • 5 of 5

What a fantastic apartment (all the amenities and comforts of home including appliances and DirecTV), gorgeous views (spectacular snow-covered mountains from the 5th floor) and great location (right next to Eagle Express)! Ski/Snowboard storage, underground parking and access to the free Mammoth bus transportation were added bonuses. Thank you for helping us enjoy a wonderful 3-day getaway to Mammoth.

Cozy and Tucked Away!

  • 5 of 5

The pictures make the place look a bit smaller than we expected. We entered and were pleasantly surprised to see it was bigger and that the rooms were separated by the living room. We had 4 adults and a toddler and it felt roomy. Wish there was a love seat to match the super cozy couch. The cable and Internet didn't work in the 2nd room but it wasn't a big enough deal to call. Location was great and the view was gorgeous!

Great Mammoth Getaway Property

  • 5 of 5

Loved this unit. No complaints whatsoever. Clean and very attractive unit. The unit was well stocked with linens, towels, and kitchen utensils. The unit's bathrooms had a hair dryer and even your basic hotel toiletry items. Comfortable beds and the Individually controlled bedroom heaters along with the main area heater (gas fireplace) had no problem dealing with temps in the teens. The unit's location on the top floor eliminates any noise from above. The location of this unit is convenient to the enclosed heated parking area. Just a very short walk to the elevator followed by a very short walk to the unit. Luggage carts were provided in the garage. The location of this unit in the resort complex is close enough to crawl to the Eagle Express chairlift. Just exit through the parking structure and you're there. Convenient to the businesses of town too. It's Impossible to get lost driving to and from town. Either a straight shot on Meridian Blvd to the businesses on Old Mammoth Road, or one left turn on Minaret Road to head to the Mammoth Village area or the main lodge of the ski area. I would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful place to stay

  • 5 of 5

Juniper Springs is a great place to stay. Close to everything, a heated pool and 3 hot tubs, plus a nice area to BBQ. We stayed here for 4 nights. The unit (#530) was clean and kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, etc. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location and size for our vacation.

  • 4 of 5

We really loved the location and proximity to everything. The size was perfect. The beds were nice. It was a little loud, we could here our neighbors at all hours. I am glad the furniture was updated but the carpet needs updating as well. Gil the owner was very available and the staff at the Juniper Springs were very helpful. Great Stay!!
