Overview

About the property

Top Floor 2BR/2BA Sleeps Up To 6, Spectacular Panoramic Mountain Views

Upgraded October 2014 (new living room furniture, HD Internet TVs in all bedrooms, pictures still show old furniture))

Our non-smoking, no pet, luxury Juniper Springs Lodge condo is a top floor unit with amazing panoramic views of the ski mountain. It has two bedrooms, and two full bathrooms. It will comfortably sleep up to 6 adult guests. One bedroom has a king bed. The guest bedroom has a King bed. The spacious living room has a queen sleeper sofa, stone gas fireplace and a large screen HDTV. There are spectacular views from the living room and the large balcony porch. Parking is included in the building’s heated underground garage with direct elevator access.

This unit is especially coveted being one of only few units in the entire complex to offer spectacular views of the ski mountains. It is just steps from Eagle Lodge and Chair 15. On the inside you will find the creature comforts of home including a gas fireplace, microwave oven, dishwasher, iron/ironing board, high speed internet, flat screen TV, Direct TV, VCR, DVD and more. Laundry facilities are only steps away.

Sitting slopeside on Mammoth Mountain's southern rise, Juniper Springs Lodge is the High Sierra getaway you have always dreamed of. Adjacent to the Eagle Express six-passenger chair lift, it presents a quiet air of sophistication while at the same time standing strong as a rugged, yet distinctive Mammoth landmark. The architecture is dramatic and romantic, its scale and styling subtle and in harmony with its surroundings. Upon arrival you will pass through the grand, multi-story lobby into the Hearth Room. With its timber-beamed ceiling and massive rock fireplace, it is the ideal place to meet family and friends at the end of the day.

Condé Nast Traveler selected Juniper Springs Lodge as one of the premier ski-in/ski-out resort properties in the country (with 150 runs), and our 2-bedroom condo is a great option for a weekend or week long getaway. All the amenities you'd expect from a top-notch resort are here: a large outdoor swimming pool heated to 86 degrees year-round, three hot tubs, two barbecues, game room, business center, fitness center, and underground parking (which is an incredibly nice perk especially after a full blown Sierra powder dump!).

Skiers and boarders will enjoy the convenience of purchasing lift tickets on-site at guest registration (located in the main lobby), and the free seasonal shuttle runs every 30 minutes during ski season makes traveling into town, the Village, Main Lodge or Canyon Lodge an effortless affair.

Beyond the abundance of outdoor activities -- golfing, hiking, fishing, biking, horseback riding, cycling, kayaking, tubing, canoeing, hot air ballooning, etc. -- the town of Mammoth offers a nice medley of restaurants that run the gamut from casual fun to fine dining. Ultra-hip boutiques and day spas can be found in the Village and on Main Street.

Mammoth also has a growing arts and cultural scene with performing arts, live music, and arts & crafts festivals throughout the year.

And finally, there’s incredible nature to explore, such as Mammoth Hot Springs, Devils Post pile, Horseshoe Lake, Owens Valley River, San Joaquin River, Lake Crowley, Mt. Whitney, Yosemite, Mono Lake, Death Valley, ancient bristle pine cone forest, a western ghost town, fish hatchery and more!

We hope this brief description has piqued your interest and sense of adventure. Thank you for stopping by and we look forward to hearing from you!

It's worth mentioning: By booking directly through us, not only can you save money, but you can be assured you will be staying at one of the prime ski-in/ski-out properties on the mountain.

About Gil Avidar

I'm and avid skier who skies more than 90 days annually. I love the outdoors experience and would like my guests to enjoy it as much as I do.

Gil Avidar purchased this condo in 1999

Why Gil Avidar chose Mammoth Lakes

This is a premium unit originally owned by the builders for their own use. It offers some of the best views in the complex. I regularly receive unsolicited offers to purchase the condo.

What makes this condo unique

Beside the premium breathtaking views, the unit is just few steps away from the elevators and the laundry room.

Great!

  • 5 of 5

I love Mammoth and Juniper springs. Great location and so much outdoor goodness all around. Comfy beds and well stocked kitchen. Unit is clean and we had fun at the bbq and hot tubs by the pool. This was my 3rd time staying here and we will be back. I caught a 20 inch trout and did lots of hiking everyday and it was nice to come back to the condo at the end of the day to relax. I wish I could live here!

Excellent!

  • 5 of 5

I loved the view, the layout of the rooms and the many towels that were there!

Even though the condo is on the 5th floor (actually the 4th) it is a quick elevator ride

from the ground floor which says something about the location.

Also, Meridian Street or blvd. is nicely located in town if you know Mammoth well.

I would definitely stay at the place again.

great view, great location, beautiful surroundings, no AC in summer

  • 4 of 5

great place..finding 2nd parking location was a bit confusing, but biggest dislike was No AC in these recent 100F or higher summer days.. probably great in any other season.

Owner's Response: There only a few days when it gets hot during the day. The temperature drops to close to freezing overnight. Using the fans and keeping the unit ventilated during the day will keep the unit cool. Normally we the temperatures rises only when the unit is left unventilated during the day.

Very Comfortable Condo with Great Views

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay - very comfortable condo with great views. The beds were wonderful! My only suggestion for improvement would be to upgrade the chairs on the outdoor patio. Enjoying the beautiful view outside in summer was made uncomfortable by the cheap plastic chairs. But other than that, loved it!
