About the property

Top Floor 2BR/2BA Sleeps Up To 6, Spectacular Panoramic Mountain Views

Upgraded October 2014 (new living room furniture, HD Internet TVs in all bedrooms, pictures still show old furniture))

Our non-smoking, no pet, luxury Juniper Springs Lodge condo is a top floor unit with amazing panoramic views of the ski mountain. It has two bedrooms, and two full bathrooms. It will comfortably sleep up to 6 adult guests. One bedroom has a king bed. The guest bedroom has a King bed. The spacious living room has a queen sleeper sofa, stone gas fireplace and a large screen HDTV. There are spectacular views from the living room and the large balcony porch. Parking is included in the building’s heated underground garage with direct elevator access.

This unit is especially coveted being one of only few units in the entire complex to offer spectacular views of the ski mountains. It is just steps from Eagle Lodge and Chair 15. On the inside you will find the creature comforts of home including a gas fireplace, microwave oven, dishwasher, iron/ironing board, high speed internet, flat screen TV, Direct TV, VCR, DVD and more. Laundry facilities are only steps away.

Sitting slopeside on Mammoth Mountain's southern rise, Juniper Springs Lodge is the High Sierra getaway you have always dreamed of. Adjacent to the Eagle Express six-passenger chair lift, it presents a quiet air of sophistication while at the same time standing strong as a rugged, yet distinctive Mammoth landmark. The architecture is dramatic and romantic, its scale and styling subtle and in harmony with its surroundings. Upon arrival you will pass through the grand, multi-story lobby into the Hearth Room. With its timber-beamed ceiling and massive rock fireplace, it is the ideal place to meet family and friends at the end of the day.

Condé Nast Traveler selected Juniper Springs Lodge as one of the premier ski-in/ski-out resort properties in the country (with 150 runs), and our 2-bedroom condo is a great option for a weekend or week long getaway. All the amenities you'd expect from a top-notch resort are here: a large outdoor swimming pool heated to 86 degrees year-round, three hot tubs, two barbecues, game room, business center, fitness center, and underground parking (which is an incredibly nice perk especially after a full blown Sierra powder dump!).

Skiers and boarders will enjoy the convenience of purchasing lift tickets on-site at guest registration (located in the main lobby), and the free seasonal shuttle runs every 30 minutes during ski season makes traveling into town, the Village, Main Lodge or Canyon Lodge an effortless affair.

Beyond the abundance of outdoor activities -- golfing, hiking, fishing, biking, horseback riding, cycling, kayaking, tubing, canoeing, hot air ballooning, etc. -- the town of Mammoth offers a nice medley of restaurants that run the gamut from casual fun to fine dining. Ultra-hip boutiques and day spas can be found in the Village and on Main Street.

Mammoth also has a growing arts and cultural scene with performing arts, live music, and arts & crafts festivals throughout the year.

And finally, there’s incredible nature to explore, such as Mammoth Hot Springs, Devils Post pile, Horseshoe Lake, Owens Valley River, San Joaquin River, Lake Crowley, Mt. Whitney, Yosemite, Mono Lake, Death Valley, ancient bristle pine cone forest, a western ghost town, fish hatchery and more!

We hope this brief description has piqued your interest and sense of adventure. Thank you for stopping by and we look forward to hearing from you!

It's worth mentioning: By booking directly through us, not only can you save money, but you can be assured you will be staying at one of the prime ski-in/ski-out properties on the mountain.

About Gil Avidar

I'm and avid skier who skies more than 90 days annually. I love the outdoors experience and would like my guests to enjoy it as much as I do.

Gil Avidar purchased this condo in 1999

Why Gil Avidar chose Mammoth Lakes

This is a premium unit originally owned by the builders for their own use. It offers some of the best views in the complex. I regularly receive unsolicited offers to purchase the condo.

What makes this condo unique

Beside the premium breathtaking views, the unit is just few steps away from the elevators and the laundry room.

Great view of the mountain and the beds were comfortable. Kitchen sparsely supplied.

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in this condo it was clean and warm when we arrived. Access to the condo, locker and mountain were easy. There were plenty of trash bags, dishwasher and dish soap. I do have some recommendations. There should be comforters on both beds. More kitchen supplies like a spatula and cork screw... also baking dishes would be nice. Fix the light over the stove and replace the humidifiers. They are funky. Remember to turn off the coffee pot as there is no automatic shut-off. The extra blankets need to be washed. The parental lock on the TV in the living room needs to be unlocked and the DVD player plays a very grainy picture. This condo deserves three and a half stars but with some TLC could easily be a five star condo.

Very convenient to ski lift and stored skies right as you walk out the door. Staff very friendly. Outdoor hot tubs and pool clean and warm. Underground parking to keep car cleared of snow a bonus.

Excellent location, beautiful views

  • 5 of 5

The unit is very well equipped. Unit is close to the elevator which makes it easy to go back for lunch when skiing.

Felt like home away from home. Would love to come back for our next ski trip

Great location and unit

  • 5 of 5

Nearly everything about this place is great. Everything seemed to be in good condition, lots of room to hang out and kitchen is convenient. The building is pretty nice with a heated garage. There is a small place to grab necessities and snacks on the first floor. The best location to the lifts you can find for sure. The only negative is that the internet is terrible. It definitely isn't high speed and max speed is around 2-3Mbps. As long as you aren't trying to watch video or work, it's ok. If you came for the right reason which is the outdoors, it's a minor issue overall, you'll just have to upload the GoPro videos after you leave.
