About Andrea & Chris

We are Colorado natives that love our state. I went to Ponderosa High School and my wife went to Cherry Creek (but I don't hold that against her). Both of us went to the Metropolitan State College of Denver. In 2002 we created our first business in the nutrition industry, which we still operate in today. In 2005 we married and bought our first home in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. In 2012 we were blessed with our first baby girl and we currently have one more on the way.

Andrea & Chris purchased this house in 2013

Why Andrea & Chris chose Bear Crossing

Winter Park has always been our home away from home. Just 90 minutes from Denver, it rivals any of the ski resorts in North America. Of course in the winter, the skiing and snowboarding are unbelievable, but summers are just as enjoyable with mountain biking of all kind, trail or downhill at Trestle terrain park. Like fishing? Fly fish in the Fraser Valley river or a short drive to Grand Lake.

What makes this house unique

We fell in love with our home because it's cozy and great for hosting. While it is large enough for a large party, the multiple family rooms offer enough privacy for the kids in one room and the adults in another. There is also great dinning in town. We suggest Da Vinci's, Deno's and Hernando's's.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Chris and Andrea were amazing hosts. They made us feel like we were at our home away from home. The house had EVERYTHING we could possibly think that we needed. And they were so attentive to every single detail.

Wow, we could not have asked for a better experience in Winter Park than the one we had at this house. From the moment you walk in, you can see the breathtaking views through the living room windows. It felt like we were looking at a painting as we were relaxing in the large living room area. We cooked many meals in the fully stocked, open kitchen that also provided a lovely view of the mountains. Whether it’s snowing, sun shining bright, or if you are just looking at the night sky this view will just blow you away. The house was conveniently located only 1.3 miles from restaurants, shops, etc. If you aren’t up for a walk, no worries, there is also a shuttle that comes very often to take you anywhere you need to go. It is also only a 5 minute drive/shuttle ride to the Winter Park Resort! If you are looking for an adventure snowmobiling is a must! We took a 2 hour tour up to the continental divide and it was phenomenal. This house is extremely spacious which was a huge perk for us. We would have bears playing games in one living room while other bears would go to the second living room for a little workout session. After long days of working out and skiing we were able to relax in the amazing hot tub under the stars. I would highly recommend this home for a large group of friends or family for your next winter vacation.

Great getaway

  • 5 of 5

Very comfortable and enjoyable place with two master suites, a room with twin beds, and a pull out sofa. Owner very attentive. Amenities were great; it is always the little things when traveling. Hot tub is fairly small but fantastic after a day of skiing or being outdoors!

Awesome family ski vacation

  • 5 of 5

Grandparents, children, and grandchildren ski vacation; it doesn't get much better than that. Bear Crossing has a beautiful view from almost any place in the house!! We had a great time, the dual masters are absolutely huge and lovely. Having two spaces for this many people was a plus. The kitchen is well equipped for all your needs. Bear Crossing would be awesome to stay in no matter what time of year. Andrea was easy to work with and answered our questions prior to our stay. Thanks for helping us make a family memory.

Having 2 master bedrooms was great. I stayed in the basement and it felt like we had our own private unit. The stay was great. Hot tub was a plus.

Wonderful Family Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This property is simply lovely. Our family of 5 adults plus a baby stayed here for 4 nights in Feb 2018, and we did not want for anything. The property is so clean, and we are neat freaks! The main area is open concept, so you can cook and enjoy time with everyone else. Each bedroom has a private bathroom and there is a 1/2 bath by the main living area. The garage is huge - fit our Expedition and our snowboarding gear. The kitchen is fully stocked, and I mean fully stocked! The unit had two pack-n-plays, a high chair seat, and a ton of baby toys. This made traveling with the little guy so so much easier for us. There are two family rooms, so if you want to send the kids to one area and the adults to the other, there is room for everyone. The hot tub does fit 5 tightly, but we loved it. We used it every night we were there. And lastly, Andrea was just so nice and communicated immediately! Thanks for the awesome stay, Andrea!

Have stayed at Vail for many years. First time at Winter Park was a pleasant surprise. This unit is very large, well maintained, and very clean. Easily accommodated 6 adults and a baby. Two master suites are great. Hot tub is well maintained and kept at a perfect temperature. Unit is about a 10 min drive to the lifts. Only negative is you need to avoid skiing on Saturdays like the plague. HUGE lines. This unit is twice the size of units at Vail and 1/2 the price. Will definitely be back.
