Pretty house in pretty and convenient neighbourhood

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay is this lovely house, it is really cute and the neighbourhood is a pleasure to walk around. Safeway and 7-eleven are a very short walk as are many restaurants and shops.

The kitchen is stocked well above average with every cooking utensil you will need. Bonus points as the knives are actually sharp!

Beds very comfortable. Overall I felt very at home and very relaxed and would definitely stay here again..

Great location, well equipped - hope to stay here again.

Lovely, comfortable home in a great location. We were delayed and arrived late on a Saturday night, and they were thoughtful enough to leave lights on to help us find our way. Lock box was convenient.

The house is just a few blocks from plenty of fine and casual dining on Solano Avenue. There is also a 24 hour Safeway with beer and wine sales! I recommend signing up for the Safeway shoppers card immediately - we saved over $25 on our two shopping trips that week. About a half mile in the other direction, there is the wonderful Kensington farmers market on Sunday morning on Colusa Avenue. We also enjoyed a low key outing to the Kensington Circus Pub. Honestly - this house is so well located! We walked about a mile and a half to the BART Station for a day trip into San Francisco, took a two mile walk over to the Berkeley Campus, had lunch at the Cheese Board Pizza on Shattuck - highly recommended. We also ate at Fonda, Cafe Eugene, Little Star Pizza and Boss Burger - all very good and all on Solana Avenue

We rent a house in this area every year to visit family. This was a very nice, well located property. Some of the other places we have rented provide reuseable shopping bags, which is a nice perk - other wise, you pay for a grocery bag each time you go to the grocery store. I also prefer to have printed directions (TV channel line up, how the TV and appliances work, trash and recycle day, etc.). But, at the end of the day, this was one of the best VRBO rentals we have enjoyed in the last four years we have visited Berkeley. We plan on staying here again!

Luxury and convenience

Very spacious place on a quiet street just a short walk from Safeways and good restaurants.

The beds were very comfortable. No complaints! We would stay here again if we were in the area.

Beautiful, bright, well-maintained. Convenient to shops and easy parking. An absolute gem!!

  • 5 of 5

When I discovered this home in the Thousand Oaks neighborhood, I thought I'd struck gold simply because I'd be able to stay in a home walking distance from my mother's home. What we found was gold. Robert Watkins, the homeowner, is a friendly person to work with and quite accessible when it comes to asking questions. While his home, from the outside, belies the beauty within, it is clean, beautifully furnished, bright, and comfortable. A short, one-block walk to the grocery store and easy parking everyday, not to mention my opportunity to sit in the garden with my coffee every morning, made staying at this home nothing short of absolutely delightful. I'd absolutely recommend this home to anyone.

Lovely and comfortable home

  • 4 of 5

Property was well kept, in a convenient location within easy walking distance of shopping, restaurants, parks and public transportation, and in a very pleasant residential neighborhood. All rooms have ample natural light, and parking on the street was always available.

The house was very clean and quiet. We appreciate the high quality bedding and towels. Very comfortable. A real plus having a washer and drier there. It's a great walking neighborhood with many restaurants in the area. We will return.
