About the property

House, 6 Bedrooms, 4 Baths, 2 Half Baths, Sleeps 20

There are hardly words to describe the sheer beauty of this six-bedroom lake-view estate. Along with this home offering a royal Escondido vacation, up to 20 lucky guests (and two dogs!) will also enjoy a large sparkling pool and hot tub in the perfectly manicured backyard.

Just as stunning inside as it is out, this home is filled with upscale furnishings and plenty of space for the whole group to eat, relax, and spend quality time together.

Even the unlikeliest of chefs will offer to whip up a meal in the gourmet kitchen, which comes equipped with everything you'll need from stainless steel major appliances to a coffee grinder, French press, and Bosch double dishwasher.

Choose between two indoor dining areas, and numerous outdoor seating areas complete with a BBQ for delicious steak dinner.

Among six serene bedrooms are five queen beds, one king bed, three twin beds, and three futons, giving each of the 20 guests a wonderful place to rest each night. And with four full bathrooms and a half bath, there's no waiting in line for your morning routine.

Please keep in mind that if you bring along up to two of your dogs, there is a nightly pet fee.

More amazing amenities here include a game room with Ping-Pong and foosball tables, a huge theater room (with cable, a Blu-ray player, Apple TV, Netflix streaming, and more), WiFi, a washer and dryer, and multiple seating areas overlooking the lake.

With Lake Hodges right out your door, you can spend your sunny days boating, fishing, and otherwise enjoying the water. Twenty minutes west are sandy beach shores for surfing, beach combing, and simply relaxing in the perfect Southern California climate. South is San Diego for attractions like Sea World, Seaport Village, and Balboa Park.

Soar to new vacation heights when you book this incredible Rancho Santa Fe Lakeview Villa.

About Vacasa, CA - San Diego County Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wifes familys summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this homeour team is standing by!

Beautiful House, Great Staff

 • 5 of 5

Stayed here for a family get together. The property is beautiful, well maintained and the staff was super responsive to any questions we had. Perfect experience, thanks Vacasa.

Spacious + Tranquil + Views

 • 5 of 5

This home was jaw-dropping. The views are killer, the pool is great, the bedroom set up is convenient with plenty of privacy and space, and the movie theater room was nice. My only complaint comes with the lack of common area with a TV, especially if you are staying with high occupancy. There is not one room that holds 6 or more comfortably to watch TV. Wanted to watch a few big football games together and had no where to do it.

Wonderful reunion

 • 4 of 5

This was the perfect rental for our family reunion celebrating my husband's and my 70th birthdays. We had five mini families within our nuclear one totaling nineteen people including nine grandchildren ranging from 22 months to 22 years.

Each family was able to have its own sleeping space. It was so nice to have a television room for little ones and a theater room for the older ones.

Kitchen was roomy plus equipped with two refrigerators, large freezer and great stove. It was nice to have four eating areas: two inside and two outside.

We all enjoyed the two decks along with their fantastic views and ample seating.

The biggest hits for my family were the pool/hot tub and the ping pong table in the game room. The pool was used anywhere from two to three times a day. The lap lane was a special bonus for our adult children who swim for exercise. Two grandsons organized a ping pong tournament lasting several evenings. In other words all enjoyed time at the villa as well as the outings we went on.

One note for future renters is to check with the local property manager with any questions regarding amenities. We were told by Vacasa that some items we needed were not provided and they were.

Megan Rose, the local manager, was great. She answered any texts promptly and was super easy to work with. She made us feel like she would do all she could to make us have a positive experience.

Most of us felt like this was the best vacation ever so a thank you to the owners for sharing it.

This was the perfect rental for our family reunion celebrating my husband's and my 70th birthdays. We had five mini families within our nuclear one totaling nineteen people including nine grandchildren ranging from 22 months to 22 years.

The best thing is that we did not have to figure out what do do with down time. The pool, the game room, the decks took care of all of that.

Worked great for our group of 19

 • 5 of 5

This house was a fantastic setting for our extended family vacation. We fit 19 people (7 of them children) without any issue. We never felt cramped - there were enough roomy common spaces that even with young kids running around, there was always some place to go to find some peace. The outdoor areas, with amazingly gorgeous views (and the occasional hummingbird or road runner), connect seamlessly with the common rooms when the doors are opened, which also contributes to the sense of spaciousness.

The kitchen was very functional - 2 full size fridges and 1 freezer, large range, outdoor grill. We were able to cook several family dinners there, and it also handled breakfasts and lunches well. Tip - don't leave food out... that "seamless outdoor connection" is a two-way street, and we ended up with some ants on our last day.

The pool was fantastic, very well maintained, and warm enough to play in for at least a couple hours. It doesn't get much shallower than 4', but non-swimming kids can hang out in the hot tub section of the pool and have a great time there. Tip - if visiting with young children, there are several sliding doors that provide access to the pool, that children can easily open. If you need to secure them, just buy some plastic cabinet locks - we found some of the "U"-style locks at a nearby Target.

The location turned out to be more central than we thought - several family activities are in the area (San Diego Zoo *safari park* - highly recommended. And Legoland, of course). San Diego itself is easily within range, although you need to plan around traffic.

Be aware that the A/C can be a little tricky, especially figuring out which areas are on central (and which thermostats control what), and which have their own individual units. It's worth spending some time up front figuring that out.

The house itself tells some of the story of the family that lived there, through photos, books on the shelves, etc. It was just enough insight into their lives to make us feel like welcome guests.

So... highly recommended.
