About the property

House, 6 Bedrooms, 4 Baths, Sleeps 20

There are hardly words to describe the sheer beauty of this six-bedroom lake-view estate. Along with this home offering a royal Escondido vacation, up to 20 lucky guests (and two dogs!) will also enjoy a large sparkling pool and hot tub in the perfectly manicured backyard.

Get away from the hustle and bustle of San Diego proper when you stay at this peaceful and serene home. Legoland is close at hand for family fun, and shops, galleries, and eateries are nearby in Escondido.

Just as stunning inside as it is out, this home is filled with upscale furnishings and plenty of space for the whole group to eat, relax, and spend quality time together.

Even the unlikeliest of chefs will offer to whip up a meal in the gourmet kitchen, which comes equipped with everything you'll need from stainless steel major appliances to a coffee grinder, French press, and Bosch double dishwasher.

Choose between two indoor dining areas, and numerous outdoor seating areas complete with a BBQ for delicious steak dinner.

Among six serene bedrooms are five queen beds, one king bed, three twin beds, and three futons, giving each of the 20 guests a wonderful place to rest each night. And with four full bathrooms and a half bath, there's no waiting in line for your morning routine.

Please keep in mind that if you bring along up to two of your dogs, there is a nightly pet fee.

More amazing amenities here include a game room with Ping-Pong and foosball tables, a huge theater room (with cable, a Blu-ray player, Apple TV, Netflix streaming, and more), WiFi, a washer and dryer, and multiple seating areas overlooking the lake.

With Lake Hodges right out your door, you can spend your sunny days boating, fishing, and otherwise enjoying the water. Twenty minutes west are sandy beach shores for surfing, beach combing, and simply relaxing in the perfect Southern California climate. South is San Diego for attractions like Sea World, Seaport Village, and Balboa Park.

Soar to new vacation heights when you book this incredible Rancho Santa Fe Lakeview Villa.

About Vacasa, CA - San Diego County Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wifes familys summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this homeour team is standing by!

I liked the house and the view was beautiful. The house was kept well as well. The only problem I had, was that I was promissed an early check in, but on the day of I got an email saying that the house is not available for early check in. Because of this we had to rearrange all our plans because of them ir last minute email. The email also mentioned that usually they don't allow early checkin.

Great for a group!

 • 5 of 5

The house was better than expected. Very nice pool, hot tub, multiple patios, large kitchen area and several rooms. Master bedroom was spectacular, as well!

Amazing Property with Stunning Views

 • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this villa - it comfortably accommodated 16 of us and had the most amazing views and amenities (so much so that we barely left the villa the entire stay because there was so much keeping us there). The only glitch was the wifi connection was extremely weak and not strong enough for anything except for loading some emails (without graphics).

Wonderful Stay

 • 5 of 5

We booked the RSF villa for a reunion of college friends recently -- a wonderful venue! The theater room made for an especially great venue for watching NCAA tournament games. I was also particularly impressed by the professionalism of the Vacasa team and the seamless reservation/check-in process.

Beautiful home in great location, needs some upkeep

 • 4 of 5

We loved our stay in Escondido and would recommend this home for its spaciousness and breezy indoor/outdoor California living. We were a total party of 16 and it was the perfect size for everyone. It was very nice to have all the windows and doors open during the day. The view of the lake is gorgeous. Each bedroom is spacious and was private even with shared bathrooms. The master bedroom was out of a dream: spacious bathroom, beautiful view even from bed. One downside to our stay was discovering how much the home needed upkeep. Short list of things that were broken: main freezer, hot tub, waterfall, toaster, lightbulbs in the kitchen area, AC unit in the game room, etc. These were not core to our experience but it was an inconvenience. The other downside is general communication. I had to ask twice about supplying the home with drinking glasses, and in the end I had to purchase wine and champagne glasses during the stay. I received written approval that they would be reimbursed to me and I provided receipts. I still haven't seen the reimbursement. I also had to ask twice about getting the lockbox code to the home, and did receive it about an hour before checkin. I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to get access upon arrival! Again, these are small things that take make trip preparation more time consuming than it needs to be. But the home itself was well worth it!
