Description

Carnelian Bay Cabin Rental Photos and Description

2 Bed, 2 Bath, and remodeled kitchen with large deck and panoramic lake views.

THE HUCKLEBERRY CABIN AT CARNELIAN BAY

The Huckleberry Cabin is perfect for a family getaway or a group of friends. Strategically located in Carnelian Bay, it is easy to explore the trails nearby, visit with the locals, hit the slopes or the beach, or just sit on the deck and enjoy the incredible PANORAMIC VIEWS OF LAKE TAHOE!

LIVING ROOM. From the moment you open the front door you’ll know you are in Tahoe, as you step into the Living Room with original stone slab floors, large fireplace with a stone and wood hearth, and the amazing panoramic views of the lake. The room is furnished with a large L-shaped sofa and two comfy chairs and a large coffee table that set in front of the beautiful WOOD BURNING FIREPLACE (wood provided; regular heat also) and a large TV (cable provided) over the fireplace.

DINING AREA AND KITCHEN. Recently remodeled, the Dining Area includes a table that seats 6 – 8 and an Island Counter with barstools for 4 - 6. The kitchen is immediately adjacent and completely stocked with all the necessities, the kitchen boasts a large stainless steel sink, granite counter tops, and a new refrigerator and gas stove/oven. The extended counter island makes food preparation easy. Windows throughout these areas make it extra airy and bright, including a large window with more beautiful views of the lake.

DECK. A glass door opens to the HUGE DECK where you'll find the gas BBQ grill, a sunny spot for coffee in the morning, and more incredible views of the lake.

BEDROOMS. The cabin offers two bedrooms upstairs...both furnished with a Queen bed and a twin with a trundle bed. There is a shared full bathroom with tub/shower combination. Hardwood floors throughout the bedrooms. Wake up each morning looking out the windows to the panoramic lake views.

BATHROOMS: The home provides two full bathrooms; one on the Main Level (walk-in shower) and one on the Second Level (shower/tub combination).

LOCAL CONTACT: Very unique when compared to most cabin rentals....our Caretaker/House Cleaner handles only a small number of select properties in order to give one-on-one personalized service from inquiry to 'see you again soon' and lives just minutes away...handy should you need anything while you're here.

LOCATION...LOCATION...LOCATION...The Huckleberry Cabin is situated on the slope just above the lake in Carnelian Bay (between Tahoe City and Kings Beach) and is in a lovely neighborhood just minutes away from all that Lake Tahoe has to offer...beaches, golfing, hiking and biking in the summer...world class ski resorts (Squaw Valley, Alpine, Northstar, Homewood, Diamond Peak, Mt. Rose), Cross Country ski trails, sledding hills, snowshoe trails in the winter...and great restaurants, shops and casinos year-round. The neighborhood has exclusive access to some of the greatest hiking/biking/XC/snowshoe trails in North Lake Tahoe.

Superb view of the lake!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was extremely nice and relaxing with nice views on the lake. We had a great time visiting the nearby beaches and attractions and it was always nice coming back to the cabin to rest and do some BBQ on the big terrace. :) The gas grill though could have been a little bit more powerful but we managed to use it for our purposes.

The owner was nice and gave good instructions how to get there and what to do.

Hopefully we have a chance someday to visit the cabin again from Finland!

So glad we didn't get hung up on it not being contemporary, sparkly, and brand new! It was perfect!

  • 5 of 5

We tend to like brand new, fancy, contemporary places and be less drawn to more rustic places, however, this cabin was WAY better than expected! The view was the best around! We walked a lot in the neighborhood and no other views compared to ours! The beds were very comfortable. We were close to everything and we literally had no complaints.

The view, the view, the view!

  • 4 of 5

First - want to say that Tanner, the owner, was incredibly helpful and accommodating. The house itself is on the rustic side, but clean and very well stocked. The kitchen is updated and fun to cook in. The two bedrooms are roomy enough with comfortable mattresses, though a bit warm. They share a bathroom with a second full bath on the first floor. The deck, while in some need of re-sealing, is where we lived. Plenty of seating and it has that amazing view. You can see the lake, the mountains, the pine trees, beautiful sunrises and great stars. As an aside - the drone bees are apparently kicked out of the hives this time of year and they are everywhere we went in Tahoe with food or drink, including the deck! A trick we learned at a local restaurant: put out a plate with some food as a decoy away from where you're sitting. We used some chunks of watermelon and a bit of roast beef - the bees flocked to the plate and left us in peace! Nearby in Tahoe City we rented a motor boat - so much fun, and had a great dinner at Christy Hill - absolutely great food. Overall, this house was well located and a great value for the price!

Nice place!

  • 5 of 5

The property looks good. We enjoyed our stay there. What ever mentioned in the description is present in the cabin.

We may stay again at the same place, if we visit Tahoe; but will give preference for a cabin, with direct lake access.

-Justin.

Perfect

We loved this cabin. Wood walls, stone floor and fireplace. Big kitchen and really beautiful views. The deck is big and we loved being out there. It just had such a great feel and was close to everything.

Perfect stay! A 9 out of 10!

  • 5 of 5

My family of 6 adults stayed at this beautiful, well appointed home for 3 nights. We love to cook, and this kitchen had EVERYTHING we needed. We had cookie sheets for cookies, an enormous salad bowl for our large salads we made every night; a coffee bean grinder, a salad spinner, a blender....... these are just a few of the many items available for a cook's use. The beds were comfortable; we enjoyed the large deck overlooking a pine forest and the beautiful lake views every evening. The sunsets were stunning, the mornings were glorious, the weather was perfect. If we can all get our calendars to agree, we will definitely look at staying here next year in July. Thanks to the owners for providing a great home to make our family memories of Lake Tahoe the greatest!
