The host requires you complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items and take out the trash
Leave the linens and towels on the floor
Turn off the A/C system on the wall, crack the slider by the TV (leaving the screen closed) and turn the range hood fan on high.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
We've found that strong perfumes / colognes are difficult to ventilate, so please be considerate.
Please don't put your wet towels on the furniture. Unless they're not wet, I guess.
If anybody's mother would scold you for the way the place when you are ready to leave, you're not ready to leave yet.

This was an amazing place with awesome views! The wildlife was abundant and the room was spotless when we showed up. We really enjoyed our little retreat here.
What a fabulous find! This is a gem of a property. We would love to come back but I'm afraid the word is getting out! The rooms were spic and span clean and the amenities were even better than we imagined...and the views were gorgeous. We'll definitely come back if it's available!!
Everything as advertised…True. Very nice setting with Mountain View, deer, turkeys, rabbits, birds! Clean and efficient overall. Kitchen had everything a person needs, plus more. Host was responsive to each message sent. There was nothing negative to speak of during our entire stay.
Repeat customer. Cottage is exactly what we like, clean, fully staffed with daily needs, view is beautiful and quiet. Price is an excellent value. And the owners pay attention to every detail including COMMUNICATION. Just a great experience. Thank you
This was our second time staying here, and it was just as wonderful as the first. The cabin is very clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful with beautiful mountain views. Eric is a fantastic host and goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need.We will definitely be back again!
Contact with host was so easy from start to finish. The Carriage House was beyond our expectations. Easy access and so inviting. Exactly as described. We can’t say enough about this property and hosts. We were in town for a show at Anderson Music Hall. So many attractions close by. We cancelled plans the last night just to sit and enjoy the Mountain View, deer and the firefly’s definitely put on a show. Will definitely be our #1 choice.
Eric is a wonderful host! Our VRBO experience was so nice. The property and Carriage House was just as described. Easily accessible to Murphy too. The Carriage House was very clean and had all the essentials. My husband and I highly recommend staying here. Thank you Eric and Judy!
This was a great stay! The place is so cozy and clean. And the VIEW!! The home is set up wonderfully, the bed is so comfy and all the amenities add up to a wonderful experience. We will be coming back.
Property was beautiful and well maintained. Kitchen was supplied very well, bed was comfortable. Views were fantastic and we saw at least 4-6 deer at night. Wonderful!
Cabin was perfect! Clean, spacious, great view. The perfect spot for an anniversary trip. Great central location for disc golf, hiking, geocaching, and general sightseeing.
Enjoyed my bi-annual stay in the mountains, first time at The Carriage House. Chris was a terrific host. Everything I could want was provided for and the property was cozy with picturesque views over a mostly rainy few days. Wildlife as promised (I'd never seen a Northern Flicker before but one really liked banging on the house roof), Seven and even Saass made an appearance. Thanks for the wonderful stay!
We enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Carriage House. The home was clean, well stocked, and the view was amazing. As a couples getaway, this place is absolutely perfect. We cant wait to come again!
My visit was for a weekend class at the Campbell Folkschool. It was an easy drive to and from the school. The property is delightful, a clever little house, with every amenity considered by the owners. The views are soul-restoring.

We were incredibly pleased with this wonderful property. Super clean, modern decor and amazing views. Will be staying again!
Beautiful location with excellent view. The facilities are excellent. I really loved the deck. I didn’t take advantage of the grill or fire pit, but I really appreciated the options. The kitchen facilities were perfect and the bathroom was quite posh. I loved the shower—one of those rain imitators. I can’t speak to the quality of the widescreen TV; I never turned it on. There was too much beauty in the views out the windows and off the deck. The location is so excellent—nestled in the center of so many fun things to do. The West Tubing Co is right across the main road, and I highly recommend taking advantage of that. I swam in Hiawassee lake, painted on Brasstown Bald, toured Murphy a bit, and had great meals in the area. I barely scratched the surface of the recommended activities in the provided welcome book. I will be back!I was told I would be visited by the kitties, and I was looking forward to it. They didn’t show up until my third/final evening. They were really friendly and clearly responsive to my welcome. For me, friendly cats are definitely a bonus perk of any site. But they also seemed like they would respect your boundaries if you didn’t want to hang out with them on the deck. The hosts were communicative but also left me to the space on my own. They work the perfect balance of present and not for a Vrbo stay. They offered an extra night at discount, and I would have taken them up on the offer if I didn’t have an event I needed to get to. Loved it!
