About the property

Non-shedding dog friendly one-bedroom with private patio; welcome long-term stay

The home is the back unit of a triplex property in the historic neighborhood of South Park, just east of Balboa Park and northeast of Downtown San Diego. Full-size in-unit washer and dryer.

This is an ideal getaway due to the walkability, charm and overall chic vibe of the South Park community - now a 'hipster neighborhood' according to the New York Times!

Neat, convenient and well located

This was our first trip to San Diego so we wanted a place close to the main attractions, but also in a quiet area. Jen's place was exactly what we were looking for. It also was provided us with the option to eat at home or enjoy the many excellent local restaurants and we did both. Jen was very responsive to the very few issues which came up. We are happy to recommend this property and would look to use it the next time we come to this beautiful city.

Great property. Very comfortable. Didn't get to use the patio due to cold, windy weather. Would stay again.

lovely quiet spot!

  • 5 of 5

We had a very relaxing stay this weekend. Even though it was the 4th of July- the property was quiet and easily accessible. There were fresh flowers on the table and the unit was very clean and welcoming. A close walk to cute South Park neighborhood, and a nice longer walk to north park, this spot is the perfect place for a San Diego getaway!

The unit we stayed in was so quaint and nice we just loved it. Jennifer was so nice and accommodating to work with. WE would stay there again. It was so relaxing and you felt like you were walking into your own home. It has a beautiful area to sit outside. It was within walking distance of shops, restaurants and bars. It is located in a very quiet, friendly neighborhood. I would highly recommend it.

About Jennifer LeSar

My name is Jennifer and I have more than 25 years of experience in the real estate and investment banking industries. I have owned this property since 2004, and fully renovated this vacation unit in spring 2014. I have lived in San Diego since 1993 and in the South Park community since 2000. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you have about the neighborhood, and promote to nearby amenities. I look forward to your enjoying our wonderful San Diego community and our vibrant urban neighborhood!

Jennifer LeSar purchased this house in 2004

Why Jennifer LeSar chose South Park

I love this neighborhood for its historic character, proximity to Balboa Park and the Zoo, downtown San Diego and Petco Park, and the freeways which take you to the beaches, Mexico and the area's amenities, and for its great restaurants and dog park around the corner.

What makes this house unique

Walking distance within 3 to 5 minutes to dog park, wine bar, Stone Brewery, restaurants, gym, yoga studio and gourmet grocery store!

Driving distance within 5 - 7 minutes to the Zoo, Balboa Park, downtown San Diego, new library, Petco Park and Convention Center (for Comic Con fans!).

Guestbook comments from the owner

The house was great. We found it very clean and well stocked. The back patio is a sunny San Diego bonus. We were staying here because our house locally was getting bathroom updated. Jennifer was great and flexible with our ever changing construction extensions. Fabulous host and house. Neighborhood is quiet and easily walkable to many popular restaurants.
