Live like a local in a beautiful and charming newly remodeled Studio. Just 2.5 blocks to the sand at gorgeous family friendly Wind n Sea beach. Private yet close to all amenities.

Living and sleeping areas, 1 bathroom and a full kitchen. Room for 1-2 adults to sleep comfortably. Queen size bed with memory foam mattress in the bedroom. The studio also has a comfortable full sized sofa in the living room. Designated parking space. The studio is small, but feels very luxurious and larger than it is. It has everything you need for a wonderful vacation. Sand Castle Hideaway is a very special place to stay!

Adorable private patio with shade sails for dining, relaxing and entertaining. BBQ, outdoor dining, cooks kitchen with stove for gourmet meals, washer and dryer. Dog Friendly.

Truly beautiful and special, Sand Castle Hideaway is a lovely and charming beach studio that you'll love calling home!

Nice little place to call home for a week.

This studio is a nice little place to stay for a week. It has everything you need for an enjoyable vacation. It was very nice to have a reserved parking spot in a carport right by the door. The area is nice and offers plenty to do. There's even a beach in walking distance. It's located away from the high paced life of a big city, but yet close enough to drive to the city for day visits and then come back to the Sandcastle and relax.

I appreciated the use of the washer and dryer - then you can pack lighter and just wash clothes there. Beach towels and chairs were also provided, which was very nice and convenient.

It is small and I wouldn't recommend more than two people staying there. I enjoyed the extra attention to details in the studio (i.e.: the soft close cupboards, good size refrigerator, microwave, unique decoration details like backsplash and pebble shower floor, nice big soft towels). There is also a barbeque grill which is a nice option (even if we never used it).

We never ran out of hot water in the shower. We didn't have any issue with the shower backing up at all. I noticed that mentioned in an earlier review and that is a pet peeve of mine, so I was relieved that issue has been resolved.

One of the drawers in the desk is full of brochures of activities in the area. That was a good resource.

The studio would get warm during the day, but was easily cooled down by opening windows and turning on a fan.

We had an excellent vacation and greatly appreciated the Sandcastle Hideaway.

Very clean, bright and within walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shops of La Jolla

The property met all of our needs and sheltered patio was a welcome space to find some warmth on the cloudy, windy and cool days.

Location is ideal for exploring the area and San Diego is not far away. The parking space alone is a very valuable asset, especially in La Jolla.

Proximity to the beach another plus for sunsets, surfers and sand.

All the restaurant recommendations we tried we delish- Bird Rock coffee and Su Casa margaritas had us coming back

Sharon was a responsive owner and eager to make our stay comfortable.

Perfect for 2

The apartment was perfect for two! My fiancé and I found the apartment lovely and quaint. The patio outside was a plus. We enjoyed soaking in the sun in the mornings with our breakfast. The kitchen is fully stocked with what you may need to cook dinner. There is storage against the mirrors so you can store groceries and unpack your belongings, which definitely made it feel much more like home. The neighborhood is great. We felt safe walking around even at night time. The apartment is only 2 blocks from the beach and 20 minutes from town. La Jolla is a beautiful place to be and this apartment was worth every penny.

Great location

This small well equipped accommodation is comfortable for two adults. The location is ideal for beach walks and a short distance to shops and restaurants in La Jolla village. The number 30 bus at your door step provides easy public transportation into San Diego downtown.

An effecient and yet charming vrbo with upscale finishes, a comfy memory foam mattress, along with a comfortable sofa and complete with a private patio. Many windows to allow light as well as functional and pretty indoor lighting. Towels are soft, shower is wonderful and more storage than one would think in viewing the pics. Close to the beach, several coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance and right on the #30 bus line.

Wind n Sea is a lovely area of La Jolla with a great neighborhood feel and easy walking access to shops, restaurants, the farmers market, and of course a beautiful beach! Tons of activities and sight seeing are within a 15 minute drive outside of La Jolla as well.

c) Cleaning fee schedule repeats for days stayed beyond 30.

Please note: the cost estimator does not include cleaning for stays longer than 7 days. Cleaning fees will be adjusted during actual billing.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
