This is a quaint and newly renovated 1920's stone cottage. It sits in the blue ridge mountains, in the heart of Black Mountain, NC. It is located in a quiet neighborhood so you can relax, but also just a short stroll to several wonderful restaurants, pubs, and shopping. Nearby is a lake, hiking trails, the blue ridge parkway, playgrounds and a beautiful golf course. Black Mountain is charming and has so much to offer. Asheville is just a 10 minute drive. The home has a beautiful front porch, as well as a large fenced in back yard, for grilling, a bonfire, game of corn hole, or relaxing in the hammock. There is a large covered area so you can enjoy even if it rains. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, the second bedroom has a full, the living room has a sleeper sofa, there is a cot upon request. The home is equipped with flat screen T.V.'s in both bedrooms and living room, cable, internet, a DVD player in bedroom, and DVR in Living room. The home also has books, games, puzzles, corn hole, dartboard, hammock and sandbox. Stowed away we have a pack n play, stroller and high chair for the little ones. We hope you enjoy the exciting and peaceful living of the Appalachian Mountains while at slow pace cottage!

Quaint Comfortable Home

  • 4 of 5

Enjoyable stay in quaint town of Black Mountain. Short trip into town and nearby restaurants. Appreciated little touches such as bottle of wine, complimentary wood for outdoor fire pit, and blackboard welcome sign. The water pressure in shower and hot water in sink of bathroom was somewhat tricky; however, the huge outdoor deck and fenced-in yard were awesome. Owner's were very quick to respond and own small store near home.

Convenient and Cute

  • 5 of 5

Belinda's little bungalow was a great place to be while we explored Black Mountain, Asheville, and Swannanoa, where my husband was teaching at a music camp. The big fenced yard was definitely a plus, although my two dachshunds weren't used to the busy traffic on the corner, and they barked at everything that moved. Nevertheless, nobody complained. The house was comfortable and homey. The wifi was good, but my AT&T cell phone service was weak or nonexistent. My friend's Verizon service was normal. In any case, there was a house phone available when I needed to call out. Nice place, and I hope to return.

Relaxing, comfortable, and charming home.

  • 5 of 5

Slow Pace was a perfect match for us. My son and I, along with our two dogs, felt right at home in this very comfortable and clean home. Everything we needed was provided - plenty of towels, games, kitchen gear, and an extra treat of beer in the refrigerator! We also enjoyed roasting marshmallows over the fire pit and the provided logs. The back yard is great for everyone, people and dogs (fully fenced). My son liked reading in the hammock and I liked watching the lightning bugs at night. Best of all, the location is so convenient. You can easily walk to Black Mountain's main streets where there are great choices for restaurants and shops. Thanks, Belinda, for sharing your charming home!

A wonderful place to relax

  • 5 of 5

Slow Pace Cottage is aptly named. A slow pace was exactly what Connie and I were looking for. Belinda provided everything we needed and our pup, Fred enjoyed the fenced back yard. He busied himself by keeping the squirrels at bay.
