Minimum Stay 4 nights

About the property

Condo, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

Vacation on one of Maui's crown jewel beaches. Napili Bay, with its brilliant blue tropical waters and white sand beach, offers a safe swimming and snorkeling experience. The bay is rich with tropical fish and ocean life. The ocean, beyond the bay, is a playground and traveling corridor for whales, which are often sighted. The adjoining bay, Honokeana, often offers a chance to swim with the dolphins.

Enjoy a quiet, low density environment with green belt, lush tropical grounds and Koi pond. Less than a minute walk to the ocean from your unit, complementary coffee is served each morning. Breakfast and/or lunch will be a must at the popular 'Gazebo Restaurant' on the ocean and steps away from your unit.

An ocean side pool and a garden pool, along with a hot tub, offer relaxation, either under the shade or in the Hawaiian sun. Picnic and barbecue on the greenbelt with the ocean view of both the islands of Molokai and Lanai. You will be away from high rises and crowds, yet close to all of the activities that make Maui unique (a variety of ocean and Island experiences, shopping, art, championship golf, tours, hiking, choice restaurants, historical sites, etc.). This is a special place.

Our unit is in a most desirable location. Mid point in the complex, one has a short walk to the front desk and an equally short stroll to the ocean in the other direction.: close to the ocean, yet far enough back from beach activity to enjoy the quietness and beauty of a tropical garden setting. This 2nd story unit provides privacy, great views, and a spacious wood cathedral ceiling. Completely renovated, the unit features a granite kitchen with hardwood, self closing cabnets and all new appliances. The bedroom features the top of the line Simmons Beauty Rest pillow top king size mattress. The living area has a 40 inch Sony LCD TV with DVD player. The sofa converts to a queen size bed with a six inch mattress. The luxurious, Island style furnishings pushes it to another level.

Why John Vandixhorn chose Lahaina

Napili Shores is a low density resort with a green belt slopping down to the ocean. Every unit encounters a panoramic ocean view outside their patio sliding doors. The rocky coast line in front of the resort adds beauty and privacy, while one of Maui's most beautiful beaches is off to the side just yards away. When searching for our dream spot, we knew we had found it here.

Napili Bay is the best place to snorkel!

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying at Napili Shores Resort. It was comfortable, convenient and had everything we needed. We left fins and a fishing pole for the next guest. We used the binoculars another guest left. It was great! All around good time and the bed was comfortable which is a very important factor in our lives. Thanks!!!

Great property in a fantastic area

  • 5 of 5

This is my favorite area of Maui. Low-key, low rise condos surrounding a beautiful bay. This property worked out really well for us. It's perfect for a couple - a smallish bedroom, totally functional kitchen and nice living room. We enjoyed the laid back simplicity of it. The condo is extremely well-stocked with beach equipment - numerous chairs, an umbrella and snorkel sets. The patio is a fabulous place to enjoy coffee and we made many lovely breakfasts in the kitchen, which is completely outfitted for cooking.

The resort is charming and very well maintained. There are two pools and they were never too crowded - we had no problem finding chairs in the shade.

What we liked most about this property was how it wasn't fussy or fancy - if you're looking for that, head to one of the big hotels. Our week at Napili Shores was just a chance to unwind, lay low, take daily walks from the condo over to the beach and the Ritz Carlton. There were no lines, no wrist bands needed to sit by the pool, no loud groups.

Note there is no air conditioning in this unit. There was a fan in the bedroom but we really could have used a second fan in there. Cross breezes in the living room made it pleasant all the time.

Try the new restaurant that opened on the property in October - it's pretty great and the prices were unbelievably low.

The owner was extremely easy to work with and very responsive to all of our questions/requests.

Amazing location and great condo

This condo was well equipped, very clean and included everything we needed for our stay including a cooler. The location is perfect, a short walk to our favorite beach at Napili. It was nice to be close to a few different beaches and restaurants.

Napili Bay is a beautiful bay with a busy beach and great snorkelling.

  • 3 of 5

Our host was unable to provide Internet for our stay and expected us to try and repair it. The condo is well equipped with BBQ use for all guests. There is also a restaurant on the grounds for breakfast and dinner. The line up moves quickly for breakfast. The main restaurant is currently closed and signs say it will Re open.

Picture Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

Not quite sure where to start! Our stay at John's home was more than we ever expected. We stayed for 10 nights, and it felt like home. We had everything we needed, and more. The location was PERFECT!!! The beach was a short walk and the bay was perfect for kids. My little ones lived on the inner tubes provided and we didn't leave the bay very much, since it was the BEST around. We had the calmest water, the best water temps, and the most popular banana pancakes in Maui, at the Gazebo restaurant located on the premises. Laundry facilities were a life saver and allowed us to pack very light. They had a shop as well where you could rent just about everything from paddle boards to snorkeling gear. The pools were very clean and refreshing...We would end every day with a dip! This property is a gem!!! And we will definitely be back! Thank you John!!!

Wonderful Napili Condo!

  • 5 of 5

Wow! This condo exceeded our expectations. First when booking, the owners were easy to communicate with and very responsive. Check-in at the condo was a breeze and the unit was spotless on our arrival. Napili shores is a very friendly environment and we found the staff and most all of the other guests there to be filled with Aloha spirit. This is a low key tropical late 60's Hawaiian resort. There were beach towels, extra kitchen & bath towels and a nice starter supply of soaps and essentials. Also beach chairs, a cooler, some floats for the pool, a couple masks, and an umbrella for the beach! The layout was perfect for us, with a full size bedroom, a very nice bathroom with a small tub, and a wonderful open kitchen/living room. Also there is a peaceful lanai that easily seated the four of us. Great ventilation with the windows and the fans, and the interior was beautiful with marble counter tops, a deep stainless sink and a dishwasher. The grounds are lush, tons of tropical plants and HUGE plumeria trees! We traveled with our 1 and 5 year old and they loved running / crawling around on the large grassy areas, looking at the koi pond and swimming in the pools. There were a lot of young families in the complex when we were there and Napili Shores was very family friendly. There are quiet hours here from 10pm - 8am, so we ended up doing many adventures around Maui in the mornings since our 1 year old liked to get up at 6am or earlier on some days :) and then enjoying the condo and the beaches in the afternoons and evenings. Napili bay is about a 2 minute walk and there are amazing tide pools to explore in front of the condo. Also Kapalua beach is about a 10 minute walk from the condo. I was lucky enough to snorkel with sea turtles in both Napili and Kapalua durring our stay. There are some very large sea turtles that we saw in Napili (think picnic table large!) Also, the far north ends of Kapalua and Napili are very calm for young children, there were no waves in the morning and tropical fish in less than a foot of water at times. Amazing!! Gazebo Restaurant is onsite, get take out and go back to the condo or the beach! We already miss the Gazebo's amazing fried rice :) Sunsets were beautiful with views of Molokai and Lanai in the background. You are about 15 minutes from Lahaina. Loved the tropical rain in the mornings and the rainbows, reminded us a bit of Hanalei... we are already saving up to come back!
