This is a lovely place to stay great couples house , clean with all the amenities and everything you need for a short stay or an extended stay. Just a hop skip and a jump from Blanco or Marble Falls we will be staying again soon.
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here while exploring the hill country. Close to tons of vineyards and walking distance to the main part of town where all the businesses are. Bed was very comfy, AC worked great, water pressure was high, wifi was solid, and the verdant back porch was nice to hang out on drinking coffee. There was clearly a lot of work done to update the home but keep it feeling original. Highly recommend staying here.
2nd time to stay at Pickett Cottage. Was just as great the second time. We’ve found a new home away from home. Clean, well appointed and convenient to restaurants and shopping in downtown Johnson City. Farmhouse Winery just across the road is a bonus! We will be back!
The location was perfect for the lights and the 5k. We walked anywhere we wanted to go. The house was very clean and comfortable. Hoping to stay there again.
Adorable cottage with retro vibes. Communication with the owner was excellent. We enjoyed our stay. Close to downtown shopping and restaurants, we walked everywhere. Farmhouse Wines right across the street.
This was a super nice little place to stay! It is so perfect for one or two people for sure. The back patio/deck is a great place to enjoy some peace and quiet! I enjoyed sipping a glass of wine in this peaceful little place at the end of my busy days. Nice and shaded and cool. I was there in May.The bed is very comfortable. Better than most places I have stayed! This place looks small from the outside, but it is quite roomy on the inside! Nice full size kitchen and seating for four. My wife said multiple times how cute she thought it was. Close to all the wineries yet enough away to be peaceful and relaxing when returning from the day.
I had a relaxing, enjoyable stay at The Pickett House. The little cottage is welcoming, clean and thoughtfully equipped for comfort. I have stayed here before, and always enjoy the peaceful, home-like setting. I highly recommend The Pickett House to anyone looking for a cozy place to stay, convenient and centrally located to most attractions in the Hill Country.
My husband and I took a weekend getaway trip to Johnson City really enjoyed our stay! The place is cute and clean and within walking distance to a winery, restaurants, shops, etc.
Very clean, quaint nicely decorated cottage. Great directions on dealing with antique hardware on doors & check-out procedure. Nice touches of coffee, snack bars, soaps & shampoo provided. Thank you a nice relaxing stay.
Wonderful weekend stay it was perfect location for everything we wanted to see and do. Property owner had everything ready as she said it would be. The only con to the stay was you can hear the road noise at night because it is so close to main road.
Enjoyed our stay. It was walkable to restaurants in johnson city. Close to pedernales falls state park and about 30 min to fredericksburg. Loved the kitchen stove.
Walking distance to downtown and LBJ Boyhood home museum. Less than 10 minutes to race site.Beautiful decor and everything else you need, Hope to return someday.

Thank you for your review Vickie. I hope to host you again in the near future
Although the road noise was audible we loved the location. We walked to both breakfast and dinner and appreciated how close we were to Pedernales Falls. Cute little house. Bed was comfy, nice pillows too. Air mattress on pull out couch was disappointing though. Still a great stay.
This was a cute house in the perfect location in Johnson City. Very convenient to downtown and just a short drive from Fredericksburg. It was comfortable with modern appliances and plenty of amenities. The host was super responsive and very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

My husband and I live in San Antonio with our two children. I am a native Texan growing up in Victoria and my husband is from Mount Joy, Penn.
Why they chose this property
We bought this B & B from my Aunt and Uncle. They were using it as a bed and breakfast and they bought it when it was called Caroline's B & B.
What makes this property unique
What we love about this home is that it makes you want to kick back and relax. The town has all that you need but it offers you the luxury of traveling to other towns and cities in one day and back.
