We stayed at this VRBO while visiting family that lives in Fairview. The location was very convenient while at the same time secluded and quiet. The accommodation was comfortable and well appointed. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this for a small family or two couples.
Charming apartment with a lovely view
My husband and I visited Asheville in November 2017, and stayed four nights in this lovely place outside of town. The owners were welcoming and friendly, the apartment was clean and comfortable with all the amenities. We enjoyed quiet mornings watching the sky grow lighter over the hill. Highly recommend!
Look no more; stay here.
Where do I start? The property is just indescribably beautiful. We enjoyed breakfast (and dinner) on the patio, overlooking mountains and fields with horses. There were several birds, chipmunks, and squirrels visiting the plants and bird feeders, too. In the evenings, we laid out on the back lawn to watch the Orionid meteor shower. I’m not coming from a big city, but the difference in how many stars you can see is still jaw dropping. The apartment itself is really well renovated. Everything worked great, the kitchen is mostly fully stocked, save a whisk...? But there are forks for that. The gas grill was prepped and ready to go outside, too. There were plenty of linens for us, not that we needed all of them. The apartment is bigger than the photos let on.
Complaints? I don’t really have any. Just be ready to go down some narrow/dirt roads, but if you’re coming for the hikes and such in the area, you should be prepared for that anyway.
I’ll probably be looking more in western asheville next time, but if not, I’ll definitely check out this listing again.
The hosts are more than accommodating without being overbearing, and they’ve prepared an excellent escape in their downstairs home for guests. I highly recommend this place.
Stunning views, peaceful countryside, beautiful apartment!
If you like peaceful living and beautiful views, then this is the place for you. The patio is stunning and equipped with a swing, plenty of chairs and loungers to enjoy the gorgeous view. It's only about 20 minutes or so outside of Asheville and it's an easy ride to town. The bedrooms are comfortable (a queen in each) and the kitchen is fully equipped. The owners are lovely and welcoming. Highly recommend!
Lovely property! Great place!
This was a truly lovely apartment and an excellent place to stay. The hosts have converted the downstairs of their beautiful house into a private apartment, which opens out onto a deck with gorgeous views of the mountains. The house is just a short drive outside of Asheville, but it feels like a country getaway. The inside of the apartment is beautifully done, with two comfortable bedrooms, a kitchenette, and plenty of comfortable seating to relax and enjoy the view. There are even a couple horses in the field right next door that my daughters enjoyed "meeting" and petting before we left for the day. Compared to the price of a tiny hotel room in the city, we saved money AND enjoyed a spacious retreat that was relaxing and comfortable. We stayed for two nights with our two children and would love to come back again.
stayed for a wedding
Wonderful spot, just beautiful! We were there for a large snowfall aka snow storm. The views were just breathtaking. I would highly recommend!
Asheville has creative arts scene, five star restaurants, antique shops and great walking/sightseeing. The biltmore house is the largest residence in north america and offers daily tours, winery tours and wine tasting, antler hill village, and is located in historic biltmore village with shops, restaurants, and historical buildings. All within a few miles from another point of view.
