About Property Manager/Owner

My family bought our summer cabin on the property in 1958 and spent all our summers there. I couldn't bear to tear down the family cabin so I built Lake Tahoe Chalet in front of it. I'm a skier myself so I don't do longer than 3 week rentals in the winter. Now we enjoy views of the lake from the Chalet windows and still have the original cabin on site.

Property Manager/Owner purchased this chalet in 1958

Why Property Manager/Owner chose Lake Tahoe North Shore CA

Lake Tahoe Chalet is only two blocks from the Tahoe City commons beach, restaurants and the Marina. It is two blocks from the Tahoe rim trail and one block from the Tahoe City golf course where you can cross country ski and sled in the winter and it is close to Homewood, Alpine and Squaw Valley and Northstar.

What makes this chalet unique

It has two fireplaces, a wonderful deep bathtub with a fireplace in the bathroom. The lovely view alcove on the top floor has views of the golf course and mountains. Lovely stained glass work, quilt wall hangings and original art add to the decor. Front and back decks provide tables for morning sun and afternoon shade or sun.. It has a gas barbecue, a two car garage with a ping pong table and is filled with games, puzzles and books for all ages..

Great Tahoe City House

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four (including two children ages 7 and 8) had an amazing, snowy Christmas at this beautiful Tahoe City house. The house was clean, well-equipped with almost everything we needed (including wi-fi and a washer/dryer, a must for us!), and in a great location (on a quiet street, close to grocery stores, restaurants, and all of our skiing and sledding activities). We also loved the fact that the house had an enclosed garage, which protected our car from snow during the night. The bedrooms are all good sizes, and although the living room/dining room area were a tad smaller than expected, it was fine for our family. The owner Carrol was incredibly gracious (even left little little Christmas gifts for our kids!) and very responsive to any questions/issues we had. We absolutely loved our time here and would definitely recommend this house. We are looking forward to returning soon!

Fantastic location, clean and comfortable

  • 4 of 5

We visited for 3 nights in August and the location is perfect to walk into Tahoe City for restaurants and shopping. The house is relatively new so it was clean and modern. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. We really appreciated the pre-programed temperature settings and nice window blinds. The deck was also nice for sitting outside in the evening when the temperature was cooler. Our only negative comment was the sofas in the first floor family room seemed to have a lot of wear on them.

Great Tahoe rental...

  • 5 of 5

If you are making the trip to Tahoe in the summer, this is a perfect place to rent. The home is spacious and well equipped with kitchen supplies, games, bedding, etc. The neighborhood is also a plus, very nice neighbors on a quiet street. Do not hesitate when considering this house. You are perfectly located in Tahoe City, a short walk to restaurants as well as Commons Beach at the Lake. Thanks Carrol!

Bright, clean, and great location

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed staying here for a quick getaway. Lots of room to spread out and everything is newly updated. Close to everything you need for a trip to Tahoe. Absolutely beautiful house. Only thing we didn't like were the couches which have seen better days. Even with that, we'd definitely stay here again. This house is very well maintained. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. New appliances as well. Just a few quiet minutes from the main strip with local stores to meet all your needs. It was very quiet at the house and we loved the deck. Highly recommended!

June long weekend mini-vacation

  • 4 of 5

A great location and well equipped vacation home. The owner was very helpful with our arrangements. We would stay here again and will recommend to others. The only downside to the house is that all the living areas and bedrooms are on the second and third floor, which means there are a lot of stairs if someone has mobility issues.
