About Property Manager/Owner

My family bought our summer cabin on the property in 1958 and spent all our summers there. I couldn't bear to tear down the family cabin so I built Lake Tahoe Chalet in front of it. I'm a skier myself so I don't do longer than 3 week rentals in the winter. Now we enjoy views of the lake from the Chalet windows and still have the original cabin on site.

Property Manager/Owner purchased this chalet in 1958

Why Property Manager/Owner chose Lake Tahoe North Shore CA

Lake Tahoe Chalet is only two blocks from the Tahoe City commons beach, restaurants and the Marina. It is two blocks from the Tahoe rim trail and one block from the Tahoe City golf course where you can cross country ski and sled in the winter and it is close to Homewood, Alpine and Squaw Valley and Northstar.

What makes this chalet unique

It has two fireplaces, a wonderful deep bathtub with a fireplace in the bathroom. The lovely view alcove on the top floor has views of the golf course and mountains. Lovely stained glass work, quilt wall hangings and original art add to the decor. Front and back decks provide tables for morning sun and afternoon shade or sun.. It has a gas barbecue, a two car garage with a ping pong table and is filled with games, puzzles and books for all ages..

Great Tahoe City House

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four (including two children ages 7 and 8) had an amazing, snowy Christmas at this beautiful Tahoe City house. The house was clean, well-equipped with almost everything we needed (including wi-fi and a washer/dryer, a must for us!), and in a great location (on a quiet street, close to grocery stores, restaurants, and all of our skiing and sledding activities). We also loved the fact that the house had an enclosed garage, which protected our car from snow during the night. The bedrooms are all good sizes, and although the living room/dining room area were a tad smaller than expected, it was fine for our family. The owner Carrol was incredibly gracious (even left little little Christmas gifts for our kids!) and very responsive to any questions/issues we had. We absolutely loved our time here and would definitely recommend this house. We are looking forward to returning soon!

June long weekend mini-vacation

  • 4 of 5

A great location and well equipped vacation home. The owner was very helpful with our arrangements. We would stay here again and will recommend to others. The only downside to the house is that all the living areas and bedrooms are on the second and third floor, which means there are a lot of stairs if someone has mobility issues.

Very cute 3 bedroom cabin

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying here, the cabin is only 10-15 minutes away from Squaw. It was clean, warm, the big windows in the kitchen/living area are so nice and tall, you can sit on the couch and watch the moon at night, it was breathtaking. Love this place.

Great house, location, and price

  • 5 of 5

We were very pleased with the house. It's in a great location, just two blocks from the center of Tahoe City, comfy, nicely maintained, and the price is great. Can't really ask for much else. It's very close to a number of ski resorts and it was also nice to have those options on where to go. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful home in an ideal location

  • 5 of 5

We spent four wonderful nights in this beautiful home. Everything is new and nicely decorated. The living room/kitchen area is open and filled with light; it is a little small for communal dining if you have more than 4-5 people (you can seat 5 at the counter and I think 4 at the table), but other than meals, which we mostly enjoyed out, had more than enough room for us (4 adults, 2 toddlers). Best of all was the brief walk into Tahoe City. Our 2 1/2 year old managed it several times in snowy and windy conditions. We hope we will have the opportunity to stay here again soon!

Another Terrific Stay

  • 5 of 5

We've enjoyed several stays at this property. The cabin is very well maintained. We also enjoy the short walking distance from the house to downtown Tahoe City. With the greater amounts of snow this year, we found the garage very convenient. Looking forward to our next visit.

One half block to the farmer's market and golf course. It is 2 blocks from the Tahoe rim hiking trail entrance and four blocks from the Truckee River dam and fanny bridge and museum.
