About Kelly chamberlain

We have lived in Laie for 20 years. We have 4 children and we love living in a culturally diverse place close to some of the most beautiful beaches and best surf in the world. We love the people, the food and the aloha spirit here.

Kelly chamberlain purchased this apartment in 2010

Why Kelly chamberlain chose North Shore Oahu

Our many returning guests love the proximity to the beach and BYU-Hawaii. Also the accommodations are comfortable and relaxed.

What makes this apartment unique

We offer paddle boards, boogie boards, umbrellas and beach chairs for our guests. There is also a hot outdoor shower to rinse off in after a day at the beach.

Loved it!

Perfect little place for my husband, toddler and myself. Very clean and updated. The beach is right across the street. We loved being on the beach and running in the morning on the running path down the street. We had a great quality family time.

Beautiful property with exceptional housekeeping!

  • 5 of 5

Clean rooms, comfortable bed, friendly and accommodating hosts. Secure parking, across from a beautiful beach. Loved the use of the beach chairs. Appreciated the air conditioning, fridge, and all the other amenities. Close to most of the activities/points of interest that we wanted to see. Honolulu only an hour away for the odd things that we were interested in seeing/doing there. We were more interested in the north shore and rural Hawaii. Would recommend this property.

Why you should stay here!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

This was my first time to Hawaii and feel so lucky that I found this wonderful place to stay. We were there 5 days/4 night. Great place to stay for 2 main reasons.

1. The property is newly renovated and feels like a small suite. The whole property is gorgeous and kept neat and clean. It was also very helpful to have snorkeling equipment, beach towels/chairs and boogie boards available for use along with an outside shower to rinse off after the beach. Another added bonus is the kitchen has the necessary basics to be able to buy and stock up for a quick breakfast /lunch.

The weather was warm and humid so having the AC units upon return from a busy day outside was refreshing, being able to cool off within minutes.

2. The location was perfect for our stay in Laie. Access to the beach across the street, (great way to start the day with a stroll along the beach) bus stop across the street (we took it to Turtle bay and then Shark's cove for snorkeling-which was amazing!) Close to PCC and local stores.

We were there for a wedding so were very busy the first few days, coming and going with preparations. This location worked great for all that needed to be done. All our friends were impressed with how great this property was too!

I would definitely recommend this property and hope to be able to return someday!!!

Thank you Chamberlain family for your professionalism, kindness and courtesy!!!

This is a nicely appointed living/kitchen space and bedroom. There’s no dining area. It’s high quality and in very good condition. The private entrance is easy to use and getting in and out of the property is easy and convenient to the main road. The Hukilau beach is literally across the street. The owners are wonderful and very accommodating. They supply basic beach needs such as chairs, snorkel gear and bodyboards. The umbrella wasn’t available during our stay. Keep in mind you’re on the windward side of the island which means windy choppy surf most of the time so the ocean isn’t the best right there but the beach is wonderful, go up to the north shore for better water conditions for swimming, snorkeling or bodyboarding or somewhere south like Bellows.

Although it accommodates 3, it’s quite snug for 3, 2 is perfect. I have to say that the sofa bed, which is a single, is very comfortable which is extremely rare for sofa beds. The main bed in the bedroom was also very comfortable, not too soft and not too firm. The A/C is nice to have for us fair weather travelers, there’s one in the bedroom and one in the kitchen/sitting area, both are more than adequate. To use the A/C, there is a $15/day upcharge. The shower is good but there is limited counter space in the bathroom. We didn’t miss having a stove but everything else is very functional and useful.

Price is right, location excellent, convenient, comfortable, clean, excellent customer service, close to a lot of activities in the area; PCC, North Shore, beaches, food trucks, Haleiwa etc. Recommended.

Great time in Laie

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at this unit across from Hukilau beach. The unit was small but comfortable enough for my boyfriend and our 8 month old. We loved how we could walk to the beach and how quiet it was even thou it was right on Kam highway. I read reviews complaining of the owners children being noisy but we barely could hear anything. The owner was very accommodating she even went out of her way to get us a beach umbrella so our baby could get some shade. There was no stove but we cooked many meals off the hot plate. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had a spa-like feel. The unit is nicely updated and was pretty equipped, we used their coffee maker and rice cooker and I didn't have to buy cooking oil, rice, salt

/pepper etc. It was very close to food land and walking distance to hukilau cafe. A short drive to North shore where we spent a lot of time. If you are looking to spend your vacay away from the hustle and bustle across from a beautiful beach then this is the place for you. We will be staying here again.

We loved this place and the owner Kelly is awesome to work with! We got married on the island at the temple and she gave us a bunch of ideas for the reception! She kept this place in pristine condition! It was perfect for our honeymoon!
