Our COMPLETELY REMODELED CONDO (new pictures are now online) at the Maui Banyan is uniquely situated on the top floor of the much sought after G building which boasts the best location at The Banyan. It is just a few minutes walk to Kamaole II Beach and Park but far enough away from the main road to alleviate road noise. Our unit is also unique in that it has views from the two bedroom lanais of the ocean and Haleakala Mountain while overlooking the pool and lush, green, tropical gardens. Our condo is just minutes walking distance to restaurants, shops, activity centers and additional beaches. Our prime location truly makes us unique.




Each bedroom is like a master with its own bathroom, lanai, fan, AC and TV. The second bedroom has been remodeled including a new Cal king bed, a sleeper chair for one, a small kitchenette and a newly remodeled modern bathroom. There are 3 AC units, one in each bedroom and one in the living room. You'll look forward to waking up each morning to spectacular views. The kitchen is fully stocked with new stainless steel appliances including fridge, oven, dishwasher and microwave. The dining area comfortably seats 4 with two additional seats at the counter close by. A new top of the line queen size sofa bed in the living room adds additional sleeping quarters especially for the kiddos.

The Banyan grounds are beautifully landscaped offering two pools with hot tubs and outdoor showers, BBQ areas, a tennis court and covered parking. The pathways meandering around the grounds are surrounded by lush tropical flora and are just right for an evening stroll.

For your convenience a welcome basket will be provided with a few Maui essentials that will get you started on your relaxing vacation. As an added feature a land line phone has been installed for free long distance calls throughout the US and Canada.

Our condo can also be rented out as a 1 bedroom/1 bathroom unit or it has a lockout that can be rented as a studio. If you prefer either of these two options instead of the whole unit please message the manager for rates. Mahalo.

Welcome to the Stine Ohana Hale - your home away from home. We are a retired school teacher and industrial engineer along with our youngest daughter and son-in-law who love Maui and the Kam beaches!!! Our oldest daughter and family live in Pukalani so we are on island frequently and want to share our lovely condo with you. We have provided extra special furnishings that we wanted in our beach home with hope that you'll enjoy them as well. We love our views of Haleakala, the inviting azure blue of the pool below our lanais, and the views of the ocean thru palm trees and tropical gardens. Great Location for Families w/ Kids

I would highly recommend this place for families on a budget that want to stay close to the beach.

Barb had a HUGE welcome basket waiting for us when we arrived filled with goodies like snacks, chocolates, fruits, and soaps! She knew we were bringing a 3 year old and a baby and included plenty of snacks for both the kids and the adults to get us started!

The condo itself is kept in great shape (clean, cozy, updated) and located directly across from a beach that is family friendly and easily accessible. Having a nice washer and dryer there was also GREAT. Shower pressure is a little low, but I think that's a positive thing to conserve our precious water! ;) There were plenty of beach towels AND bath towels. The balcony was amazing to watch the sunset/ sunrise. It also housed a dining table as well as a trunk full of toys/ boogie boards/ etc.

Barb was also lovely to deal with via email/ messaging. I never had to call her because everything went smoothly.

I think the only feedback I have is that in one of the bedrooms, the bed is right next to the AC wall unit so it can be problematic if you have allergies/ sensitive to AC air. But the fix is easy! We just slept in the opposing direction and it was all gravy.

All in all, I think you get your bang for your buck at this condo!

Perfect condo by the ocean

This condo has everything you will need to enjoy a nice relaxing vacation. Kitchen is well stocked and plenty of boogie boards and beach chairs. There are 2 bedrooms each with their own bathroom which gave the kids and us each our own space. We enjoyed getting up each morning and walking across the street to the beach. Condo is updated and felt like our home away from home. Can't wait to go back!

Paradise in Maui

This property is by far the best we have stayed at! From the location so close to the beach to the upkeep of the grounds, this unit far exceeds the description. The unit is very modern and very clean. The unit is well equipped for everything that you need from cooking to travelling to the beach. The views are spectacular and it truly is a quick walk to the beach. The pool and BBQ's are kept in top shape and cleaned daily. Barb was very responsive to our communication. The air conditioner in the master and second bedroom weren't as cold as expected however Barb was very receptive to looking into it. Overall, we absolutely loved the property and have already booked for next summer!

Excellent stay in South Maui

Staying at Barb's condo was such a wonderful experience for my whole family. The beds were all comfortable, even the pull out sofa, which are usually hit or miss. The split plan with two master bedrooms was a perfect set up. This unit is comfortable for parties up to 6. There is a single pull out sofa bed in the one bedroom, but we found not enough space to open it up and have room for our suitcases. So that's why I'd recommend up to 6. Only downside with our stay was that the A/C was loud and didn't really cool the bedrooms down at night. We managed to deal with it, but I felt it needed to be mentioned. It was very convenient to have the washer/dryer access in the condo. The kitchen had everything we could have needed, including plastic ware for sunset beach picnic, which we walked just across the street and did one night. We cooked most of our meals in the condo and had all the resources we needed. The location was perfect too. I'm not sure if every unit has a view of both Haleakala and the beach, but this unit does and it is gorgeous!! Communication with Barb was easy and friendly. I'd highly recommend at stay at this condo!

Loving Maui!

GREAT base for fun times in Maui. Within an at most a 20 min drive to all our planned activities/pick up points.

PACK LIGHT! washer/dryer in unit, yes!

Able to keep food stocked for quick breakfasts/lunches/snacks. still near lotsa good places to eat: Pizza Madness, Miso Phat, Maui Pie, Sugar Beach Bakery (banana bread, oh man!), Kihei Cafe, 805 Deli.

Beach gear plentiful & useful, check it out before renting/buying your own. Easy access to all the Kam beaches, turtles spotted everywhere! (TIP swim out & near the rocky reefy areas, careful not to get too close to the sharp rocks -be mindful of current- and no touchy the reefs/honu/fish!). Niece & I had lots of fun just snorkeling for hours at Kam II. Best conditions are early/mid morning before it gets super windy. Still great while windy, just again, be mindful of the currents!

PLENTY of room for my group of 4 (me, sister, teenage nephew, 12yo niece), we could stay out of each other's hair easily if the need arose. Wi-fi was spotty, but you're in Maui, go outside or go to bed early so you can wake up with the sun. Seriously.

TIP: Reserve as early as possible for the best deal. I'm amazed at the rate I got for the accommodations provided. Grounds/pool are beautiful. Always had off-street parking regardless of time of day/night. Quiet, even if lanai door kept open (turn off your AC unit!); WARNING: keep screen closed! there are wasps out there, they got my niece a couple of times :-( This is not the fault of the VRBO owner, obviously, just wanted to give a heads up!

Our favorite activities:

* Hike Maui Waterfall Hike, ask for Dawn as your guide, she's a local and knows her stuff. Plus she knows all the best waterfall/rock jumping spots!

* Kelii's Kayak/Snorkel Tour, SOOOOOO many turtles and Jeremiah is a fun guide, been doing this for years

* if you're a cat lady like I am, visit the Lanai Cat Sanctuary on Lanai, just a ferry's ride away. Kitty heaven. and they love attention. Don't forget to take some yummo treats! Donate if you can!

* if you're a dog person, Maui's Humane Society has a take a dog to the beach program. Make a pup's (young or old) month!

* Elvis in Lahaina Burning Love show is cheesy and fun. Plus the dude is a big philanthropist in the area.

* Athena at Maui Sights & Treasures (mauivalue dt com) helped me plan lots of things to do. I'd recommend her services if you'd like to get some fun in but don't wanna do all the research yourself. She knows her stuff. Jen G sent ya!

Great place to stay!

The condo was clean and well stocked with items that are difficult to travel with i.e. snorkel gear, boogie boards, pool noodles, ice chest, sand chairs etc. The location is fabulous with several beautiful beaches within minutes of driving. Plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. The condo has a breathtaking view! Barb was wonderful to work with, would definitely recommend staying!
