About Amy Corley
The Corley Family purchased Birdsong Cabin in 2014. We have spent many family vacations on Lake LBJ and have made lots of memories near the water. We currently live in Georgetown, TX and travel to Lake LBJ whenever we get the chance. Of course, every trip we make includes our five toy dogs! We hope to share our slice of heaven with you!
Amy Corley purchased this House in 2014
Why Amy Corley chose Burnet
Birdsong Cabin was built in the 1940's by an American Indian named Roy Birdsong. It belonged to his family, until we purchased it in 2014.The original cabin was completely torn down and a very similar replica, with updated features, was rebuilt by early 2015. This property is one of a kind b/c of the panoramic view of the cove around the island. It has 60'' of private waterfront with a new cement retaining wall. In the summer months, the sun sets behind the large ash trees, so you are shaded in the hottest part of the day!
What makes this House unique
Birdsong Cabin offers a fully fenced, large 1/3 acre lot for your kids and fur-babies to roam in. The private neighborhood boat ramp is about a 2 minute drive away, where you can launch your boat. Enjoy the serene setting of the cove while fishing or floating on your raft, or head out towards open water, which is less than a 5 minute ride by boat.

This property is located on a small canal which was perfect for kayaking and paddleboarding. Access to the lake/river is extremely close, only about 100 yards by kayak. The neighborhood was enjoyable for our morning coffee walks. The house is clean, well-stocked and has all the comforts of home. The large fenced yard was perfect for our small dog. The check in process was simple, and the property is in excellent condition and very clean. The management company was prompt in refunding our deposit. I highly recommend this property.
Great place for a family weekend.
We had the best time at the Birdsong lake house! The house was super clean and had enough room for our group! The location on the canal was also amazing! We even caught a few fish! We will be returning ASAP!
Place was amazing
Me and the wife both loved it. Great get away on the water. Also nice area for our pup to run around. Amy was so helpful with everything. I'll be coming back soon
Great Lake Life!
We enjoyed a fun, long weekend at the lake - including fishing, floating and renting a wave runner. The property is tucked back away from the main lake, but easily accessible. We found this ideal for having our young kids, to be somewhat protected from the lake but still get to experience it. It was also nicely shaded for the heat wave that was happening. There are lots of fun little day trips nearby, like the Kingsland Slab and Torr Na Lochs Winery. The house was comfortable and a great place to enjoy with family. Amy was very responsive and a great host.
Beautiful home on the cove
We loved our stay. The house was perfect for kids and dogs. The kitchen was fully stocked and there were plenty of games. They even had a toy train that the kiddos loved. It was plenty of space for two families and their kids. We didn’t feel cramped at all. We would definitely go back.
Birdsong Cabin is located on a cove off the Colorado Arm of Lake LBJ. The water is always constant level, so bring your floats, rafts, kayaks, fishing poles and get ready for lots of fun! The cabin is recently completely remodeled and fully furnished/stocked.
