About Vacasa, OR - Mt Hood / Hood River Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wifes family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

It would have been perfect if...

 • 3 of 5

The hot tub was hot and ready to go when we got there but it wasn't. It was at 85 degrees and in economy mode. There was no manual available to troubleshoot this so we had to contact the property manager who then had to google it and get back to us. Finally, we got the hot tub heating up but we couldn't use it until the next morning which really sucked. Also, the kitchen is fully stocked with pots/pans etc. BUT the knives and cutting boards are an accident waiting to happen.. the boards were warped and almost impossible to cut on and the knives were so dull it wouldn't chop or slice with ease. If you love to cook bring your own to this cabin! The house is very clean, the fireplace glass is so black you can't see the fire burning with the door shut, the beds are cozy and there is a lot of seating for a group of 5 or so. I would recommend this cabin if the above were fixed.

Very comfortable and gorgeous cabin

 • 5 of 5

Loves this cabin! Very comfortable for 3 couples. Only downside is a bit of road noise but it was minimal. Easy walk to Charlie’s for a beer and burger! Can’t wait to come back here again, thanks for hosting an amazing home!

Great house!

 • 5 of 5

Lots of linens and nice home. It is next to a busy freeway that you don't see but hear, but it was cold and we had the windows closed so not an issue for us. Good for up to 6 adults and the rest kids IMO. The master is awesome. Very nicely equipped.

Pretty good!

 • 4 of 5

Lots of room and well equipped kitchen. Great living/dining area with balcony. Walking distance to town was nice.

Problems: The barbecue doesn't work well; it need some replacement parts (the "burners"). The kitchen is pretty well equipped except no egg beater and the hand mixer doesn't have 2 blades that fit it..so bring your own! It is somewhat close to hwy 26, but the noise wasn't a problem.

Also, many windows didn't have screens.
