This was our second time staying in this home, and one of our favorites in Brevard. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect for walking to dinner, shopping, etc. Very clean and welcoming. Jan is a wonderful, attentive host. Looking forward to returning.
Host was very welcoming. We enjoyed the house and the very short walking distance to downtown Brevard. Also, we felt privileged to have at least one white squirrel sharing the property with us.
This is a really nice property and the host was very hospitable. It was a quiet area but still close enough to downtown that we walked to town each day for shopping and restaurants. We, being three ladies whose ages range from 58 to 78. :-). We thoroughly enjoyed our 'get away' visit to Brevard!
The location was ideal, beautiful peaceful setting. The house was as pictured, so comfortable, well stocked, offered everything we hoped for. Great experience! Highly recommend!

You were great guests ! So glad the weather cooperated for your outings ! It’s a pleasure to share our house with you any time
Best wishes !
A location in downtown Brevard....a very short walk to everything, but yet on a quiet side street. The Saturday morning Farmers Market is a 2 min. walk. Large home & yard for the area, & we saw White Squirrels often in the serene back yard. Very well equipped home for a long term stay. Hosts are very accommodating & friendly.

You were wonderful guests . Left the house in greatt condition . Loved the special touches you added while you were there .
Very accommodating for our adult family. Easy walking distance to Brevard and all on one level. Very clean and spacious interior. Cooked on the outdoor gas grill and enjoyed the paved driveway for easy access. We walked to restaurants and of course the White Squirrel Festival. Very pleased with our 3-day stay.
We had another great stay at this property! The home was very clean and welcoming when we arrived and was just as we remembered it from our two previous visits.
Staying here was like staying at a friends house. Everything was spotless, the house is very nicely furnished and comfortable, the property owner is so helpful, location is great. Will definitely stay here again the next time I’m in the area.

The house is beautifully appointed, spacious and yet cozy. We were pleasantly surprised by all the kitchen equipment available and absolutely loved the screened porch. Thank you so much for the great review. You were a great guest and hope you’ll return .
What a gem only a short walk to downtown and a short drive to great hiking. Communication was excellent throughout and if anything the pictures do not do the house justice. Only wish that we had been able to stay longer! Will definitely visit again.

You were the perfect guests.
My family just had a wonderful stay in this house. The house had everything we needed and the location is excellent. We had some rainy days which made me really appreciate having a comfortable, cozy house that was close to everything when the rain stopped. I would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I both grew up in the Brevard area. After living in other places we found ourselves returning on weekends to our mountain cabin in Lake Toxaway. We finally decided that we'd prefer to be closer the the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and relocated to the Brevard area. We both love all the hiking opportunities in Panther Town, Gorges, Bad Creek and many other trails in the Pisgah National Forest. Fly fishing is my husband's favorite activity . He and our grandson can often be found trying their luck in one of our local streams . I've been a potter for years and am a member of The Southern Highland Craft Guild. .
Why they chose this property
We were lucky to be able to purchase this house with thoughts of using it as our winter residence. Living several miles out in the county we often experience winter weather that can prohibit travel into Brevard. This is the ideal location for us. My husband can walk to his office and I enjoy being closer to friends and activities that are in town.
What makes this property unique
Our house is so peaceful with it's huge backyard and lovely interior. We spent a year on the renovations and tried to kept the look true to the original character of the original house . When we cleaned out the attic for renovations we discovered a lot of papers and letters with interesting facts about the family who built the cottage
Our house is all on the same level. It is open and airy with lots of light from the many windows and skylights. The kitchen is open to the living ,dining area and is great for staying involved with guests while preparing a meal. Open the screened porch with it's double doors and pull down the sun screen for shade and privacy. This lets in fresh air and bird songs in early morning.
After breakfast take a morning walk around the neighborhood to Silvermont ,the nearby Visitors Center or our wonderful library. You can checkout the nearby community garden if you like and talk to some of our locals about the vegetables they are growing and visit our tailgate market on Saturday mornings. There's always so much to do in Brevard!
