One of our best anniversaries

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing time at the property for our anniversary. Grant was a very nice and hospitable person who made us feel welcome the second we arrived. He showed us around and we even walked our dogs around for a bit before he left. Our evening was very quiet and peaceful and it was exactly what we were looking for. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing getaway.

Rustic cabin

  • 2 of 5

Cabin surroundings were nice, pretty quiet. Nice large trees and partial view of Mt Baker. Cabin needed to pay more attention to safety, emergency lights should be obvious. Could have been cleaner. Hot tub was unique and fun. Cabin interior was nice, outside areas need some work.

Owner's Response: As stated on the property description ," guest house is located on a very steep hillside with lots of steps which can cause problems for persons with mobility issues unfortunately this house is not handicapped accessible " Sorry this caused issues for you . Most guests enjoy coming to this house for the remote location located on a small island and there can be a windstorm off the water causing trees to fall on the power lines . When this happens the fire in the pot bellied wood stove provides heat , cooking and entertainment .Flash lights , first aid kit outdoor candles , matches , insect repellant are provided in the entry all for the safety of my guests

Quiet location, beautiful cottage, great view, many amenities provided

  • 5 of 5

This was a great location that can sleep between 4 to 7 adults (depending on singles or couples). We did a guys trip with our friend's dog and it was relaxing and quiet. The owner was very helpful upon arrival and available if anything were to go awry (and nothing did). The island is small with few stores, etc., but the general store had anything we needed and more (expensive as to be expected so I recommend bringing food, drinks, sunscreen, etc.). There is not a ton of things on the island (which we gound refreshing) unless you enjoy hiking and taking in the various sites. The burger shop was amazing. The view from the cottage is amazing (water and Mt. Baker) and the sites around the island are great. I highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking to get away and basically relax (family, couples, friends, etc.)

Quiet, peaceful

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely loved this place. Grant, the owner, met us when we arrived and gave us the full tour. He was very helpful and accommodating. He had even put out a bowl of water for our pups.

The cabin is cozy, redone and inviting. There is a full sized kitchen, a large family room and multiple bedrooms. There is a great hot tub on the patio and a nice fenced area for the dogs.

The island is breathtakingly beautiful and allows for lots of hikes, reading, or just relaxing. It's remote and quiet but if that's what you are looking for, this is the place.

Charming and Cozy with Stunning Views

  • 4 of 5

This cabin is in a tranquil setting with majestic views, where you can rock by the wood burning stove. Or, go outside and see the deer, birds, and squirrels, hear their chattering and song, and smell the fresh pine trees that surround you. This is a get-away-from-it-all kind of place, with hiking preserves, serene beaches, friendly residents, wonderful artisan shops, and delicious eateries , (see Grant, the proprietor, was attentive and even gifted us with wine and a few other things on our first night. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Inviting Rustic Cabin with Beautiful Sunrise View

  • 5 of 5

My sister, Ethel (my dog) and I had a wonderful stay at Grant's Cabin! When we arrived were greeted by Grant, whom had warmed up the cabin by starting a fire in the wood stove and in the wood fired hot tub. It was wonderful! The cabin was well equipped with all your cooking needs, games and Netflix. Grant had cut plenty of wood to keep both fires, inside and outside, going for our entire stay. He educated us on the ins and outs of operating the wood stove and hot tub. The wood fire hot tub was fabulous. He also informed us recreational and culinary information about Lummi Island. Grant was very easy to talk with and responded quickly to any questions I had prior to arriving and during our stay. I look forward to returning to this cozy, private Lummi Island getaway.
