About this property

Just steps from the water, boasting a full wall of floor to ceiling windows that look out over the big new deck and out to Tumbo Chanel. The (pet friendly) cottage is well appointed and comfortable with plenty of room for a family of 4. The cottage has 2 bedrooms – 1 queen, 1 twin – a 3 piece bathroom (tub with shower), kitchen with built-in banquette in the corner window (perfect for seal and eagle watching), and spacious living room.

The property is adjacent to East Point Regional Park where you can find the original fog alarm house, which is now home to a visitor information/ interpretive centre. If you are a seeker of local information and history, you will find yourself taking the short walk up to the fog alarm building daily. If you have any interest at all in spending your days watching seals and otters frolic, exploring tide pools, hiking, crabbing, sighting orcas literally meters away, and basking in phenomenal sunsets on the front deck, this is the place for you!

A haven for whale watchers and nature enthusiasts. Low bank ocean front with two sandy beaches and tidal pools for hours of entertainment and great swimming. Watch seals and sea lions frolic in the ocean as you relax on the front lawn. Be amazed by the bald eagles diving for their dinner, and be prepared to be startled by a deer nibbling the tree outside the bedroom window. Your stay also gives you access to 44 acres of private hiking trails for your dog to enjoy off leash walks. Bring your paddle board, boat, kayak, or canoe and launch it at our private boat ramp.

Another great stay

Our 3rd time back to East Point, and another wonderful stay. The location truly can’t be beat, and the new, expanded deck is a great addition! We loved sitting out on the big deck watching the ocean, and were lucky to catch some whales!

The host is incredible, from email communication, a phone call and EASY payment process. Staff that stayed said the rooms were fantastic, the hosts were beyond friendly and accommodating. Beautiful setting

Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us. The setting is so peaceful and relaxing and the wildlife is amazing! We saw eagles, otters, humpbacks and orcas. The cottage was so comfortable and made for a very relaxing and enjoyable vacation. We would love to return.

Cabin 6 at East Point

We loved the location so much. The cabin was well stocked with cutlery, pans, glasses etc. The bathroom could use an update...the tub didn’t look very appealing. Despite this we would come back!

Perfect

The cabin is in the best location on the island, with beautiful views to the water and a few steps from East Point. We were there for 6 days and ended up staying on site for 5 of them - we saw so many humpbacks, 3 pods of transient killer whales, porpoises, seals, sea lions, eagles, vultures, guillemots, oystercatchers, and the list goes on and on. The cabin was perfectly equipped and comfortable for our family of 4. This was our second visit, and we definitely plan on being back!

Iconic West Coast Gem

Hard to imagine a more beautiful place to roam in all of the Gulf Islands. The southern tip of Saturna is something to be experienced, on so many levels! Sunsets, whales, sea birds and waving white grasses -- and a very comfortable cottage to base yourself out of..

A Little Piece of Paradise

It was probably helpful that the weather was perfect for our three night stay, but I could imagine staying in this delightful cabin in the off season with a good book and a jigsaw or two. Nice to be in the company of wildlife and very few humans. Will definitely return.

Another Relaxing Stay

We had another wonderfully relaxing stay. This is one of our favourite spots to unwind and get-away. The cabin is well equipped and the location is fantastic. We did not see any whales this time but the seals, sea lions, otters and eagles were all there for us to enjoy. Another great lunch at the pub topped off our trip.

A Special Place

A magical place to stay. Waterfront at its best.

There is no place like Saturna, and the best place to stay is at East Point. This cottage is on the waterfront, in a park like setting with the swimming beach at your doorstep. We had a lovely time. The children can run safely and explore the shore. The cabin has everything you need and when you are sitting in the living room, you could be sitting on a ship and looking out. We missed the whales this time, but we will be back to see them next year.

A uniquely, special and relaxing place. I simply love it here.

I love coming to East Point. The cottages are simple but adequate but that's what I like about them. Cabin 4 looks over the water and toward the point which is beautiful. This cabin is well kept up. The owners clearly value ti cleaniness and tasteful, yet simple decor.The deck is a little small but being out side is where we spend most of our time. The shell beach right below is my favorite place to soak up the sun after a busy and active day exploring the island. The boat ramp is perfect for our kayaks and there are some easy and rewarding day trip from there. Personally I have come to East Point Cottages for over 22 years and that in itself says what a special and beautiful place it is.

Love is a cabin on East Point!

Everything about our little family's vacation on Saturna was absolutely perfect. The cabin is precious and comfortable, and the views were spectacular. We saw eagles, seal and river otter from the deck and enjoyed glorious sunsets while watching the tides and relaxing. The whale trail rocks are just outside the door and being so close gave us the opportunity to take turns walking the trail. We were able to see two humpbacks from shore one day, then a good portion of J Pod another, followed by about 15 Transient orcas on yet another day. We know from everyone we spoke to how lucky we were, but being so close in this beautiful cabin really gave us an advantage. The folks that manage the property are friendly and always available, everything was just perfect. So looking forward to our next trip to Saturna and Cabin 4!

Fabulous place to unplug and enjoy natures beauty!

My husband and I enjoyed our week at the Cabin on Saturna Island. The seals entertained us just off the deck morning and night while the Eagles perched in the trees above. The cabin met all our creature comforts for a rustic week away, and did I mention seeing the humpback whales swimming lazily along the shore a short 10 minute walk away.

Amazing location, comfortable cabin

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Cabin 4, gazing out at an ever changing seascape, with otters and sea lions coming to visit. Such a treat to be literally steps away from the beach and park. The cabin is comfortably equipped and supplied, with even drinking water. Kathryn is so pleasant to work with , and we will be booking again for next year, so charmed by this island. Thank you!
