Our reviews speak for themselves.... so, ESCAPE from it all.... wooded retreat.... PRIVATE, yet convenient, nestled on 53 + acres of natural woods.

Approximately 10 miles to Tryon International Equestrian Center, 3 miles to Foothills Equestrian Nature Center, (FENCE), under 6 miles to Harmon Field, Tryon NC, & less than 2 miles to Town and restaurants.

Pet friendly Cottage, with full amenities. 1 Bedroom (Queen Bed), Living Room w/ full sleeper sofa, roll out twin cot, air mattress, & wood burning fireplace. Sleeps 5. Fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, 2 TV's, Wifi, deck overlooking the woods, charcoal grill and ample parking, including a 1 car, carport.

Please know that we are a small hobby working farm, which brings with it the sounds of animals, and on occasion there is a chorus of background honks, crows and squabbles. We can on occasion offer fresh organic eggs and honey.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Great weekend retreat!

We just finished up a great three night stay at this property with our pups. The property was just as advertised, very clean and relaxing, and the owner couldn’t have been more hospitable ! Highly recommend - just as beautiful as pictures show!

Great Comfy Place

The cottage is wonderful. It’s quiet and peaceful yet pretty close to shopping - groceries and the like. It had everything we needed for our stay and was spot clean and tidy. The host was great and we could tell because she anticipates the needs of her guests. We would definitely stay here again.

Horse show stay

My husband and my teen student/apprentice stayed at Shelley's cottage for the weekend when we were in town for a horse show at TIEC. It was great, not too far from the horse park, and Shelley was very clear with instructions. The cottage was lovely and very accomodating for my dog!

Very cozy cabin

We so enjoyed our stay here while visiting family at Tryon Estates. Great location for what we were in town for. Very clean and comfortable, kitchen has everything we needed, and I will especially comment on the abundance of fluffy towels! Lovely deck overlooking a wooded area, very quiet. We especially appreciated Shelley’s attention with a small problem, which was immediately fixed. Looking forward to staying again!

Great stay! Clean! I am allergic to cats and dogs and had a bit of difficulty breathing while sitting on the couch, however the listing DID say pet friendly.

NICE STAY for a couple days

This property was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. Appreciated the extra blankets for my dogs. The bath towels were plush and the shower hot. I was out for most of the day exploring the beautiful area. Nice to come back to a comfortable place, sit on the deck and watch a little TV at night.

Wonderful stay. Beautiful home well stocked. Comfy bed. Lovely deck for sitting outside enjoying nature only 15 min to Tryon equestrian center. Wineries near by. Host was communicative and helpful. Great place to bring your dog. We will be back.

Very relaxing setting that had an abundance of kitchen items not normally available - foil, saran wrap, baggies, spices. Bed was comfortable and sheets were very soft. Hostess even had towels available to clean pet paws! She walked us through using tv and asked about wedding that we attended while there. Great stay!

Wonderful Getaway

The house and location were great! It was very peaceful and we enjoyed watching all of the deer that were around. We had everything we needed for our stay. Shelley was a great communicator and very accommodating. Any questions we had were answered quickly. The check in/check out process was easy. I would highly recommend this property. We needed relaxation and this was the perfect place for it. We will definitely be back if we can!

Perfect getaway place!!

Hidden Gem is right! My boyfriend and I spent Valentine's weekend here... can't say enough about it from the amazing accommodating host... to the beautiful deck, comfortable bed, great water pressure in the shower to awesome location. Close to restaurants and wineries yet a feel of being private in a gorgeous setting. Probably one of the cleanest VRBO's we have ever stayed and the host was without a doubt the best ever to work with. Our only regret is we couldn't stay longer!! We cant wait to go back!! Perfect for a romantic, relaxing getaway... a must book!!!

We decided to do a weekend get away for our one year anniversary and we couldn’t of picked a better place. Shelley has been amazing from the beginning steps of booking. She is amazing. She left us goregous flowers upon arrival, which meant so much to us. She has been in constant touch with us sharing places to visit and some great eateries! If privacy and convenience to area attractions are your ideal, then look no further to maximize your comfort. Our property surrounds you in nature, woods, birds and wildlife. We are literally minutes from town, a short drive to all horse venues and yet, you are nestled amongst the trees.

We LOVE the Equestrian amenities, the trail systems, the people.... that is what brought us here, and now we get to share it with you.

What makes this property unique

While sitting in the living room, kitchen, or out on the back deck, you are surrounded by the abundance of pristine woods, wildlife, and fresh air. You will feel secluded, in your own private area, with acres and acres of woods surrounding you.

We are equidistant from the sights and excitement of Asheville, NC, and Biltmore Estate, and Greenville SC. Both bustling tourist attractions.... and each approximately 50 minutes in either direction. We are minutes from Tryon International Equestrian Center, and Saturday Night Lights, Horse Shows, Concerts, Movies, and Fine Dining. Three miles to Foothills Equestrian Nature Center and Six miles to Harmon Field, and Tryon Town.... History abounds from the railroad tracks that led people like William Gillette to veer off from his Southern destination to locals such as Jazz Singer, Nina Simone.

History abounds this area in Western NC.... Zipline The Gorge in Saluda, or Kayak the Green River.
