Kitchen was very well stocked for those who like to prepare their own meals. Amazing views of Spieden Channel and Speiden Island. Hot tub was very clean. Only disappointment was no BBQ on the deck but that's due to local regulations prohibiting open flames outdoors.

Two living rooms, one with tv, and one looking out towards the water. Great beds, linens, and well-stocked kitchen.The one complaint is that the 2nd floor bedrooms have skylights - the bedroom with queen has a sheer window covering and the skylight in the kid room with 3 twin beds has no cover so it's really light in the rooms until late in summer eve and early in mornings. bring stick-on window shades!

Reviewer Comments: We had the most relaxing time staying here at the sunrise and sunset home, the view across speiden channel was just perfect, we had deer visit us daily below the deck and an eagle came and landed in the tree's right in front of the deck on the property, The Jacuzzi was an added bonus as we were able to sit and soak and enjoy the view, there is almost 100 % privacy and as no one was next door we didnt have to worry about being watched, The only thing we would change is the wicker table on the deck, it has seen better days and couldnt hold a drink as the wicker sags and the cup will fall, other than that this home gat 10's all around

It was ridiculously large for our family of 5 (parents + 3 adult "kids" because we all wanted to hang out in the same living space and we literally never went into the HUGE family room on the back side of the house. The house furnishings and finishes were pretty outdated but the stunning view made up for that! And be aware that the fourth bedroom is actually a loft at the top of the back staircase and does not have a door. That worked out fine for us, especially since no one used the family room, but it might be disconcerting to some.

It was clean, well appointed and incredible views. There was soooo much space, especially with the back room, although we never found ourselves there because we couldn’t pass up the view in the front. We were lucky with incredible weather and the only thing that would have been nice would be some nicer, more comfortable seating on the deck. But otherwise, just perfect.

Dreamy Getaway

A much needed break away from the hustle and bustle of life. We were able to see wildlife, enjoy coffee on the deck, and soak in the hot tub while peacefully enjoying each other’s company. The home is very private and quiet with all of the amenities needed. A quick trip from Dan Juan to Orcas was totally doable too. Thank you for a great memory.

Family getaway

We traveled to the Roach Harbor area and rented this house for a three day weekend ending on Presidents’ Day. It was the perfect place for our family of 6 adults and two children ages 9 and 12. The house had lots of room for us to spread out but the terrific views kept us in the kitchen and living room watching the eagles, deer, porpoise, and seals. The house was supplied with everything we needed for a great getaway!

Beautiful View!

Ww had a great stay here. The home was very spacious and comfortable for our all adult family of 7. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck and enjoying the view. Kitchen was well equipped too. The two main negatives we observed were firstly the amount of boat and plane traffic (right near to airport) that you get at this place. It wasn't a huge deal, but did take away from the peacefulness and remoteness you may have expected on the back deck. Secondly was just the sheer volume of rule postings and signs throughout the entire home. There were rules everywhere you looked. Even in the showers. We didn't even have a pet with us, but the pet rules were posted through the house at least 5 times and even in the bedrooms. They ranged from small one-rule signs to full page lists of rules. We get that they want to protect the home and want guests to treat everything as though it were their own home, but it was just over the top and made the home feel almost unwelcoming. It would be nice if they could simplify and/or condense the rules so they aren't so pervasive. Overall a wonderful stay, would just love to see the rule postings modified.

You definitely need a car to get around the island. The home is not exactly as pictured & does need some updating (i.e. Painting & touch ups. Kitchen needs updating as well) Loved the layout. The beds were comfortable. I was disappointed that they did not provide any coffee (1 pkg would have been nice to have for our 1st morning stay, before going out) Also they did not provide any body wash or shampoo (most rentals do include this) Please note that water is limited & you are asked to limit showers to 1 daily & only fill the washer 1/4 full. The washer needs to be updated to a water saving model to help w/ water issue & accommodate larger loads; especially since you request that renters start a wash of towels prior to leaving (we could only wash a few at a time, so I did 2 loads). The living room & dining areas have the most beautiful view. The only thing missing was a gas or electric fireplace that was useable. Overall the home is very comfortable, peaceful & relaxing & we enjoyed our stay.
