We had a great stay at this condo. The complex and the unit decor were a little dated but that didn't bother us. The condo is cooled through sets of louvers, and with them open it could be a little noisy, but for us it was cool enough at night to close the bedroom louvers and the noise wasn't bad. Check in and check out were simple. Kitchen was fully outfitted with good cookware and knives. Location is not right on the beach but central enough for quick drives to many beaches around Hanalei and the north shore. The price was good compared to others in the area. We would stay there again on our next trip to Princeville.
Roomy, well stocked Condo!
This unit can sleep 6 comfortably. It was very clean, great kitchen supplies (pots, pans, dishes, utensils). Plenty of towels. I would have given it 5 stars, but the car noise from the main road along the golf course was non-stop. All the mattresses need to be replaced. They have exceeded their life. The owners provided plenty of beach chairs, paddle board, boogie boards, surf board, water noodles for the pool, coolers. It is a great unit! I would stay there again if I knew the mattresses were replaced with new ones.
Nice, but noisy
Our family stayed at Sandpiper for two weeks. The condo is next to a very busy road that woke us up early every morning. The windows provided very little muffling from the noisy cars passing by. The condo is a second-story unit with a loft. There is no air conditioning, and it seemed that none of the other condos had ac, either. It was hot. If you are to spend any time at all in the condo during the day, the heat and humidity can be quite unbearable. Luckily, it cools off somewhat at night. Because of the cross-breeze each night, we slept fine. The drapes and bedding could use some updating. We really enjoyed the balcony. The kitchen was well-stocked, and there were plenty of beach towels and beach toys; i.e., boogie boards, surf boards, a paddle board, beach chairs, a couple of coolers. The owner was extremely quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. We would have given it a four-star rating, but for the noise ... Overall, a great value for our family!
