The property was great! The outdoor space is fantastic, peaceful and comfortable. Parking was awkward but was as explained. The only comment would be the overall cleanliness, for example we had to dust the overhead fans before turning on. Otherwise basic cleanliness was good, ie kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms linens were great, towels good. Rio Nido was quaint and quirky a real experience. We really enjoyed our time at VinoVelo.

What we loved most about this property was the location. It was both in the midst of a redwood forest and very close to the town of Guerneville and the Russian River. The hot tub on the deck was lovely, and we enjoyed the cute decorating touches. The kitchen was surprisingly well stocked.Unfortunately, there were a few things that we didn't love. Some of the linens had debris on them (probably just from the dryer, but we weren't sure), the dishwasher didn't work, the fire pit ran out of gas early on, and the house had a musty smell, which is perhaps normal for a moist climate. When we reported these issues to the host, they graciously apologized and offered us a partial refund, which we did appreciate.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and balanced review. We’re delighted that you enjoyed the redwood setting, convenient location, hot tub, cozy touches, and well-stocked kitchen. We’re sorry that some aspects of your stay fell short, particularly the linens, dishwasher, fire pit, and musty smell. We truly appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention during your stay, and we’re glad we were able to offer a partial refund. We’re taking your feedback seriously and will use it to improve the property for future guests. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for an even better experience.

Easy to find and well stocked with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Easy access to Armstrong Redwoods State Park and the surrounding Russian River Valley. Soaking in the hot tub after a long hike was the perfect way to end the day.

Not as nice as I expected

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A lot of the cups and dishes were dirty and still had food on them and a "clean" hot pad still had lots of dried goo and debris on it. The garage was so cluttered webarely could even use any of it. Not as clean as it was in the pictures. The main drainage pipe was being held up by a zip tie hanging from a bicycle that was hanging in the garage. The hot tub was disappointing and only half of the jets worked and wouldn't heat up above 92 degrees. And both houses next doors were so close. You had no privacy or anywhere to park your car safely. The pictures are deceptive and it is not a beach riverfront house. It almost seemed like the owner lives there still.

We are so sorry your stay was less than stellar. We truly wish you had reached out during your stay, as our team is available 24/7 to help with any issues that may arise and would have been happy to assist. This home typically receives wonderful 5-star reviews, so we’re disappointed to hear that your experience did not reflect the standard we strive for. We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention. Our team will carefully check each item you mentioned and make certain everything is addressed and in excellent condition for our future guests. The hot tub was working, I think that is a user error. Again, wish you would have called us. Thank you again for your feedback. Stace

Northwoods Golf Retreat

Great place to stay, had everything we needed, close to Northwoods Golf Course, river and not far from the beach. My wife and I have traveled to this area many times and staying in a rental property is by far the better option compared to a local hotel. When we return in the future, this rental will certainly be one of our options!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Work Stay

The house was perfect for our needs. We were on site for two weeks to complete a project at the Montage in Healdsburg. We wanted a house with a good kitchen and washer/ dryer. Nice quiet location, with the bonus of a hot tub. We will need to return for another week in late April and will definitely stay here then.

Lovely spot. Peaceful & relaxing.

It rained the entire time we were there but we still enjoyed our stay very much. Puzzles books games & a hot tub. The houses are close together but the yard is private & it was very quiet so you wouldn’t even be able to tell. The kitchen was well stocked for anything you would need to make.

Great home in the redwoods

We really enjoyed our stay. The home was exactly as described, and we had no issues with anything. The hot tub was wonderful to relax in after a long day of exploring the area. We didn't cook much but the home provided all of the pots and pans and dishes we needed. We hope to come back again soon, maybe when its warmer to enjoy the river and the surrounding area.
