What we loved most about this property was the location. It was both in the midst of a redwood forest and very close to the town of Guerneville and the Russian River. The hot tub on the deck was lovely, and we enjoyed the cute decorating touches. The kitchen was surprisingly well stocked.Unfortunately, there were a few things that we didn't love. Some of the linens had debris on them (probably just from the dryer, but we weren't sure), the dishwasher didn't work, the fire pit ran out of gas early on, and the house had a musty smell, which is perhaps normal for a moist climate. When we reported these issues to the host, they graciously apologized and offered us a partial refund, which we did appreciate.

Easy to find and well stocked with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Easy access to Armstrong Redwoods State Park and the surrounding Russian River Valley. Soaking in the hot tub after a long hike was the perfect way to end the day.

A weekend in the trees

Northwoods Golf Retreat

Great place to stay, had everything we needed, close to Northwoods Golf Course, river and not far from the beach. My wife and I have traveled to this area many times and staying in a rental property is by far the better option compared to a local hotel. When we return in the future, this rental will certainly be one of our options!

Work Stay

The house was perfect for our needs. We were on site for two weeks to complete a project at the Montage in Healdsburg. We wanted a house with a good kitchen and washer/ dryer. Nice quiet location, with the bonus of a hot tub. We will need to return for another week in late April and will definitely stay here then.

Lovely spot. Peaceful & relaxing.

It rained the entire time we were there but we still enjoyed our stay very much. Puzzles books games & a hot tub. The houses are close together but the yard is private & it was very quiet so you wouldn’t even be able to tell. The kitchen was well stocked for anything you would need to make.

Great home in the redwoods

We really enjoyed our stay. The home was exactly as described, and we had no issues with anything. The hot tub was wonderful to relax in after a long day of exploring the area. We didn't cook much but the home provided all of the pots and pans and dishes we needed. We hope to come back again soon, maybe when its warmer to enjoy the river and the surrounding area.

Rio Nido in January

My wife, my daughter, and I visited family in Rio Nido just after the new year and stayed in Vino Velo. It was perfect!. Spotless, comfortable, perfect location, and overall a 5-star experience.
