About Stacy Smith
We bought this property and built the home we love. It's peacefulness and relaxing atmosphere make us long to be there. When our home was completed, we were greeted by wonderful neighbors who have become great friends. Though we have not named our home yet, it's our little piece of Heaven. We feel blessed to have found this!
Stacy Smith purchased this House in 2014
Why Stacy Smith chose St James City
This property is in the Manatee Bay community on a canal with easy access to Manatee Bay, Matlacha Pass and the Great Calusa Blueway-a 190 mile long paddling trail - like the Appalachian Trail on the water! Sanibel Island is a short boat ride away, as well as Picnic Island and the restaurants of St. James City such as The Waterfront, Woodies, and Low Key Tiki. You can also access Matlacha, Cape Coral and Ft. Meyers via boat. The waters are a abundant with dolphin, manatee and some of the best fishing in the area. Kayaking is easy in and out from our floating kayak dock. We have kayaked with manatee swimming beside us as well as dolphin. You can catch dinner right off the dock!
What makes this House unique
Relaxing on the screened lanai, weather it be first thing in the morning, listening to the many birds, seeing fish jump out of the water, manatee or dolphin swim by, or enjoying swimming in our heated salt-water pool while the breezes blow the palm trees are among some of our favorite times. Walking, biking, jogging are all safe on this dead end street. There is a bike path that can take you up and down the entire island.

Wonderful vacation home in paradise
We loved the home perfect space for our family of 4. They have thought of all the small details including keureg, which made the week easier. Pool and boat dock made fun for kids and family. We caught lots of fish right from the dock. Short kayak to Manatee Bay-kayaks included Lots of beautiful wildlife. Restaurants close by. Nice easy drive to Sanibel, Captiva and Fort Meyers Beach. Win Dixie and CVS close by as well as some restaurants. Nice quiet residential area. Also a running / bike / walking trail close by. We loved it and plan to come again.
So glad you all had a nice time. It's wonderful to hear how others enjoy our happy place! If we can't be there to enjoy it, we are thrilled to share the blessing and thankful to have people who appreciate what we call our little paradise!
Pine Island is an 18 mile island that is a perfect location for nature lovers. It is a tropical island with acres of palm tree and tropical fruit farms, and nature preserves with walking trails. There is a paved biking trail almost the length of the island. You will see numerous manatee and dolfins in the canal daily and a wide variety of wildlife and birds. Other island activities include kayaking the Calusa waterway trails, boating to various islands, 18 hole golf course, public tennis, shuffleboard, country line dancing, card and board games at the civic center, public salt water heated pool for lap swimming and water aerobics, a fitness center, and even a day spa. The most popular daytime activity is fishing. Field and Stream magazine reported the southern waters of Pine Island to be in the top 25 in the US. Popular fish to hook are tarpon, grouper, redfish, snook, snapper, sea trout, triple tail, just to name a few. You will catch fish in the canal right off your dock.
For those wanting a more relaxing vacation you can shop the unique art galleries, visit the library, ancient Indian shell mounds and museum, and meet local poets, writers and musicians at the many eateries. There is something for everyone. Get back to nature on this vacation.
