Loved our stay here. Very peaceful area to just relax but close enough to drive to sights in this area of the state. Hosts were great and responded quickly when we contacted them (our fault, not one of the property itself). Lots of room for everyone to spread out.
Cannot wait to come back. The cutest house with the best view. Kelly and Toby were very quick to respond and friendly. My made so many great family memories here!
The setting is absolutely fabulous! The house is spacious and clean and on the waterfront. We drove into Bar Harbor a number of times. It is about 45 minutes to Acadia national park.We felt very safe in this location off the beaten path. There are some good restaurants and grocer market. The sunset is breathtaking!
We loved hanging out in the yard overlooking the ocean, having a fire, cooking, and venturing to Acadia. The property comfortably fits 4 couples. Everything worked and was clean.
Our group of 6 gathered at the Shorefront House for our first reunion since we attended grad school together 30 years ago. The location was perfect with privacy, amazing views, and lots of different size rooms for conversation and meals.Hosts were very responsive as well.
Our family of 8 stayed for 3 nights. The location all though hard to find had perfect views! Beds werea little uncomfortable, but we had everything we needed. We had fires every night outside, they even had s'mores forks! Definitely would recommend & stay again.
Loved the house, location was beautiful. As a local i met on the beach said "you couldn't have picked a more perfect spot." Centrally located to both ends of Acadia. You could head to the more crowded Bar Harbor/Mt Desert area or the lesser traveled Schoodic Peninsula. The BBQ place was delicious, and Traceys Seafood is the best deal on lobster around. Make sure to check out the Tidal falls at low tide and Momo's Cheesecake is to die for. If you're there in summer make sure to watch for fireflies. They put on a great show!

Great location for Acadia and Bar Harbor
We spent four days and it was wonderful. Being so close to the water is a huge plus and wish we could have been there longer. The house is very clean, comfortable beds, and we found everything we needed. There are a couple things that need attention. The bathtub drains could use some Draino. They did not drain well. And they were also slick. Bathtub mats would have been great. The ceiling lights in both bathrooms flickered when turned on. I think maybe the wiring should be checked. But all in all, a great place to stay!
Beautiful setting. Communicated with property manager to arrange arrival. Mostly a very good stay there. The water is gorgeous and there were seals or otters playing in the cove which was awesome. Just needs a few updates. Property was older than expected. The main bedroom bathroom did not have a shower head so only one working shower and the property needs more pillows to fill the beds
Caution to families - the indoor steps are very steep.
Was happy with the property. Arrived at 8 pm and coffee pot was broken. Contracted owners and had new pot within 15 minutes. Read about the stairs. They are small treads like most older home but not problematic to navigate since there is a hand rail. Property owners very responsive. Water view is stunning.
All ages, all thumps up! Sunny days. Rainey days. Didn’t matter when you had the ocean out your back door. Easy drive to Bar Harbor for shopping and ice cream. Easy drive to Walmart for provisions and ice cream. Tracy’s just around the corner had great lobster rolls, Haddock and ice cream. Best prices for live lobster and house had the pot to accommodate. As you can tell we loved our stay. Only heartbreak, it went by way too fast.
Wonderful house in great location, beware steep stairs
It was a lovely house right on the water with a grill and fire pit. It was a really wonderful place to spend a few days! It is near a couple little food spots and has great places to walk and run and a large yard. There were two showers and only one bar of soap to be found and no shampoo. We couldn't find a broom to do any sweeping while we there, but that wasn't the end of the world. The stairs going upstairs were very steep and each step was not very deep. We had two (sober) adults fall down the stairs over the course of our weekend, so be careful!

Gorgeous setting
Location couldn't have been better. We were between Schoodic Point and Bar Harbor/MDI. Within walking distance of Tracy's Seafood and ice cream. House was old school Maine, which I adored. Don't expect a 21st century house and you won't be disappointed. House has been well loved and the stairs are treacherous, but as long as you know that going into it, you should be fine. The beach behind the house can be used for digging clams or just gazing at. Our only issue was the upstairs was quite warm, even with fans running while the downstairs was cool. Not a huge deal but it can be hard to sleep when you're too hot.
Place was clean. We were able to find a good number of clams on the beach. Overall a perfect place for a getaway. Super easy checkin and checkout process. *Be VERY careful of the stairs* My pregnant wife fell down the stairs and bruised her tail bone and the back of her head. Got a mild concussion on the first day. And that's even with the fact she was being careful after reading the reviews and seeing that other people fell down also. Mainly because the stairs are so thin and only a part of your feet will have gripping. I'd recommend walking up and down sideways and using the rails. Other than that, the place is a dream vacation getaway.
Our checkin/checkout process was a breeze. Communication with the property manager was easy and she replied back quickly.
We were a family of 5 with 2 teens and 1 preteen. The house had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and fun! Plenty of towels and extra blankets, heater worked great. Essentials for cooking, washing dishes, and laundry were provided.
Our youngest especially loved going down to the beach to hunt for treasures every morning. The wifi worked great for the teens ;)
The stairs are narrow as others mentioned (like your whole foot won’t fit), but we took them sideways and had no issues. Only 1 person could shower at a time for hot water, but that wasn’t an issue for us.
Location was great for us. We enjoyed the almost private location but it is a bit of a drive to get anywhere- 1 hour to Bar Harbor/Acadia, 30 minutes to a bigger grocery store.
Definitely eat at Tracey’s while there! We got take out and enjoyed it at the house. Was probably our favorite meal of the whole trip!!
The only problem we encountered was hot water on demand system. Barely any hot water in shower upstairs or in kitchen sink. Otherwise a very nice place to stay. The owners were immediately responsive when we lost hot water completely. They were very accommodating.
