About Tombo Jones

Family of four, enjoy the cabin for use ourselves as well.

Tombo Jones purchased this cabin in 2004

Why Tombo Jones chose Northeast Mountains

Our cabin is located right next to the Appalachian Trail and bordering the national forest. We love hiking and decided on this location based on its proximity to the trail. It is located just off the trail in Henry Gap, which is between Woody Gap and Blood Mountain.

Spacious Accomodation

  • 4 of 5

Cabin had lots of room for our party of 6 adults and was very clean. Would highly recommend for those looking for mountain cabin in North Georgia mountains.

Perfect for families!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this cabin! So close to the AT, with fun right in the cabin (we picked movies, ping pong and trivial pursuit). Our teens loved the extra space from a hotel and I loved being able to cook meals.

Excellent stay / Great location

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay here! It's a lovely spacious cabin which was perfect for our family of four (my husband and I & 2 teenagers). Three floors with a bathroom/bedroom on each floor so you really had your own space!

The Appalachian Trail is literally minutes away - excellent location if you don't really want to use your car once you arrive at the cabin. We did a number of the trails and even hiked the trail to Blood Mountain which is supposed to take 4 hours but only took just over 2 hours.

One of the days during our stay, it rained all day but with the ping pong table, the great selection of Board games (chess, checkers, scrabble, playing cards, dominoes etc), the TV (albeit small), we were able to enjoy a great day of family fun.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, peaceful location! Looking forward to finding another opportunity to return!

Went with a church group to do some day hikes of the Appalachian Trail and this was the perfect spot to rest between activities.

I have never been to a place that was equipped with so many extras. This was a kid friendly cabin.
