Michigan lodge rentals

We’ve rented vacation homes >100 times and our experience at Mark’s awesome property ranks #1 in terms of making us feel welcomed and comfortable. Sometimes it’s awkward when the host is on site at a multi-unit property, but in this case it added to our experience immensely. We were part of a mountain biking race team with different groups staying all over Copper Harbor. Mark very reasonably does not allow parties or events, but we were allowed to use the rear unit (garage/studio) where Mark was staying to store our bikes. He let us come and go from the space as we pleased to work on our bikes and charge the e-bikes. He even made an exception and allowed us to host a team meeting and dinner in the studio and driveway. The space itself is even nicer than the pictures. Spacious kitchen and bathroom. Sometimes decor of this type seems over the top and kitschy, but in this case it all works well and adds to the vibe of being in a unique space. Can’t wait to stay here again. It’s one of those places where you’re almost reluctant to leave an honest review because you want to keep it a secret.

This was a perfect family vacation lodge. We had a wonderful time! The cabin was beautiful couldn’t have been more perfect! It was fully stocked with everything you needed! The property layout was perfect nice and flat! Fishing from the dock was great! We loved having the bay to ourselves! Hands down one of the best cabins we have stayed in.

We had a great time at this property. It did not disappoint and we would love to come back when we return to the Upper Peninsula.

Beautifully crafted home located about a hour from many beautiful UP sights. Loved sitting on the large porch in the quiet mornings and evenings and during rain showers. Hosts were easy to communicate with. Plenty of space in the bedrooms and living room but the kitchen is tight. Would recommend!

This is our third year staying at Northern Comfort. The owner has made every amenity perfect. A great place for friends, family or anyone. Going back again in 2025! L. Heugh

If your looking for peace and quiet, look no further this place has it all with the amenities of home, you hear nothing but wildlife, wind . Hard to find a place like this in US without going to remote canada and roughing it, but Double Eagle lodge has it in u.p Michigan. The cabin is cosy, clean with an upscale kitchen. The screen porch is nice keeps the bugs away at nite, only seen one other boat on first evening for one hour, nobody else for 4 days. Seen eagles every day, beavers, kingfishers and plent of ther wildlife. We will definitely be back for longer stay.
