  • Fantastic Home

"Kathy and Chris's home in Robson Ranch is the perfect place to get the best of everything. Robson Ranch is ideally located between Phoenix and Tucson if you want some city life. We were able to attend spring training baseball games in Phoenix, shopped a bit in Scottsdale and stopped at a casino on our way home. Tucson offers a more laid back experience, with many museums and art galleries. But the quiet atmosphere of Robson Ranch and this modern, clean home was what we enjoyed the most. The outside area at the house is extremely private with comfortable chairs to relax in and a table and chairs to seat six. We used the grill often. Every day we either rode the bikes - what a plus to have bikes - or the golf cart to the awesome and very large pool area. Both the outside and indoor pools have areas for swimming laps. There is a separate pool for children so the main pool is adults only with plenty of lounge chairs to soak up the sun. We didn't take advantage of the pickle ball courts, but they were always available. The restaurant at the Ranch has excellent food and great service with both outside and inside seating. I recommend giving it a try. We hiked Casa Grande mountain, a moderate trail. We did Picacho Peak, but this is a difficult hike with good shoes and lots of water required. Watching the sky divers at the Bent Prop was so interesting. The city of Casa Grande has several good restaurants and a few shops downtown. We have stayed in Phoenix many times, but Robson Ranch is so very much better. The house is beautifully furnished with top of the line cooking utensils. The kitchen/living room area is huge and comfortable. The master bedroom has a great sitting area, very relaxing. The second bedroom has a private full bathroom - a plus when we had guests. The neighbor next door was available if we had questions about the house or the area. Kathy responded immediately when needed. You will love this home, Robson Ranch and Casa Grande! Thanks Kathy and Chris for a wonderful month."

  • Great house

"This was our first VRBO. We thoroughly enjoyed this home and it worked out well for our family. It has 3 bedrooms and a bonus area with a futon. It's in a really nice community of homes and condos and has 2 pools and several play areas. It's a nice area to walk through and has interesting sights and restaurants in the town. This home has a nice patio and small area of grass in the front and backyard. We had friends and family visit while we were there and this worked out really well for everyone. It has a nice garage which was a nice plus for keeping our car out of the heat. The owner was very nice to work with and helped to make this an easy and fun experience."

  • Great Place

"The home had everything we needed and was in a nice neighborhood but very private! Close to golf, horseback riding, shopping, activities and an easy walk out the front door to the desert."

  • Awesome Troon North Townhouse!

"Susanne's Scottsdale townhouse was just what the doctor ordered for our family vacation in June of 2016. The townhouse, at 2700 sqft, provided plenty of open space - beats a tiny hotel room! The home was beautifully decorated in a southwest modern scheme, and the comfortable furniture had us happily cheering on our hometown Sharks and Warriors during the playoffs. Sure it's hot in Scottsdale in the summer, but we hiked (AM) every day anyway at nearby Pinnacle Peak (5 min) and not-too-far away McDowell Sonoran Preserve (15 min). Pinnacle Peak provides great views and is a more crowded, tourist-oriented trail - staffed visitors center, manicured trails, mile-markers, etc. but provides a great workout if you hike the full out-and-back. The McDowell preserve, once past the visitor’s center, gives one a better sense that you are hiking out in the desert. Fewer hikers and a rougher terrain make for a great hike. The 4.7 mile loop provides great vistas and did me in - given the hot weather. Bring plenty of water! We ultimately did not play any golf due to the high 100+ heat - other than a visit to "Top-Golf". The weather, by the way, was quite comfortable in the evening while we were there, due to the low humidity. Susanne's living room fronted the Troon North golf course. Golf courses in the desert tend to support lots of wildlife - we regularly saw rabbits, quail, roadrunners, lizards (including the larger chuckwalla), and chipmunks. No bobcat sightings tough! My wife and I are looking to retire to Scottsdale in a few years, and "try out" different locations every year or two. The Troon North location on the surface appears to be far out there away from the edges of civilization. In fact the nearest Supermarket/shopping center is about 5 miles away, although getting there won't take more than 10 minutes as you are travelling at highway speeds. A smaller shopping center only a mile away has a Walgreens and a few restaurants. It's about a 10-mile trip to get to a shopping area with department stores (Target, Kohls) and such - Frank Lloyd Wright and 101. If you like to have a place where you can walk or bike to a local coffee or bagel shop, this isn't it, but for a 1-week vacation, Susanne's location and comfortable townhouse can't be beat! We will definitely consider staying here again in the future, and potentially moving to this community in retirement!"
